A NOTE FROM RPI PROMOTIONS
With the writing of this column, we have put together a few days of warmer weather and some nights above freezing in my part of the country. The snow and rain has made a mess of things for a number of ranchers in Western South Dakota. Soon we will see green grass as the moisture we have received will get us to the growing season. If fog is any indication, we will have some warm rains late spring and early summer. It has been much worse south and east of us and our thoughts and prayers are with those who are trying to put their ranches back together. We look for a decent run towards the end of the bull sale season. The demand for bulls is going to be a strong one due to the tough cold winter that kept pushing on and on. There are some long time seedstock producers that will be having sales in April and May and as we continue to go through these herds, we are seeing some outstanding bulls yet to be sold. We are just about through with catalog production for the spring bull sale season. We are fortunate that as we produce many catalogs for customers, we get to go through their bulls and get to photograph many of the herds that we work for. As we work for the best pictures, we have the opportunity to see the muscle structure and phenotype of the bulls up close and in a controlled environment. With that being said, if you have a sale you're interested in and need a catalog or help with purchases sale day, don’t hesitate to contact us. The best case scenario is to attend the sale, go through the bulls, and visit with the owners. They know the bulls that will work best for the individual customer. If it is not possible to go look yourself, please give us a call. As you look through this month’s Cattlemen’s Invite, we invite you to give those selling breeding bulls a call and visit with them about their program. They want the best for their customers. We are traveling the country, visiting with many seedstock producers, and if you’re looking for a certain type and kind, give us a call. We would be glad to help.
