A NOTE FROM RPI PROMOTIONS
A bright spot in late 2020 showed a boost in the cattle market in our area and around the country. We witnessed some excellent registered bull and female sales that were up considerably from last year. I truly believe the aggressive bidding attention on quality cattle will continue. There has been a great run on weigh-up bulls and cows that will need replaced. We will still need to breed the cows and it looks to be the year that many replacement heifers will be bred. The early fall calf run on heifers was not the best and many commercial ranches that were able, kept their replacement heifers. It looks like we will be breeding a greater number of heifers than usual as long as we receive some spring moisture. The fall bull sales that we attended had great bidding crowds and demand was very positive. Cattlemen will always pay attention to good quality breeding stock. We have some of the best in our area and those seedstock producers promoting their sales in this month’s issue of the Cattlemen’s Invite are no exception. We look forward to a better and more productive year in 2021 and we extend our thanks for your support as we begin our sixth year of the Cattlemen’s Invite. Our RPI Promotions business, that expands over 35 years and three generations, has been blessed with outstanding commercial and registered cattle ranching families to work with. We have appreciated working with longstanding programs with sale management, livestock sale promotion, complete design and printing facilities, and personal contact to understand the needs of each individual ranch. Attending the production sale is only a part of our business. We also take livestock photos that are used in sale promotion and catalogs. This allows us to better understand the quality and phenotype of the sale offering. We are grateful for the opportunity to help you. We invite you to study the offering of the seedstock programs in the January issue of the Cattlemen’s Invite. Give them a call and visit about your operation. We will be traveling the country visiting with many seedstock producers and if you’re looking for a certain type and kind, give us a call. We care, and would be glad to help.
