I wish to warmly welcome everyone to our 46th year of selling bulls!

2019 was a sweet and challenging year. Tough winter and spring; yet a beautful summer with lots of great moisture. Due to muddy lots at weaning, we weaned about a month later. Due to health reasons we decided not to feed at home, for the first time ever. The bulls were hauled about 80 miles and developed there. Upon weaning, they received a lot of snow and moisture, making a less than desirable condition. The bulls were brought along slower, but lately they have really stepped up. Our adjusted yearling weight is less than usual because they were started slower. Trail City has had a lot of winter. This will be our last sale. However, two parties have purchased cows and will continue to sell bulls in the future. We will gladly assist them in their new endeavors and adventures. I am taking Chemotherapy as of now. I would appreciate and encourage bull buyers to haul their bulls away on sale day. Kevin Hulm, who developed the bulls, could and will keep feeding them after the sale. I would pay for feeding the bulls. It would be difficult for me to deliver bulls after the 30 days; I would be open to discussion for different options if hauling away isn’t possible for you. This could be our cattle market last fall. It was going high in the air. We were spurring like crazy and didn’t know if it was going to stay due to high corn costs and inputs. We didn’t know if we would end up on our side.
