What i like about this photo is that the foreground is very light and quiet where as the background is the loud and dark wave coming towards the calm foreground. The black and white filter really helps by giving the photo differenet shades of light and dark. It really emphasises thd darkness of he wave and shows the light on top.
my recreation
I recreated Clifford Ross’s photo on holiday in the Domincan Republic on a cloudy day and i brighten the bits where the clouds were i also made the people in the photo darker so it gives an effect like they have been painted on to the photo.I used the sea to emphasise the people so they look dark and make certain parts of the sky light and dark.
Luke Byrne
I really like this photo because its shows the technique of mergin 2 photos together which s very clever as it shoes the effect of the water not getting the paper well. Its very imaginative and shows how people can over work them selfs as the person is wearing a work uniform,
my recreation
This photo gives off the same dark colour which Luke Byrnes does as well. My recreation also resembles the same affect of the person in the water.
Brendan George Ko
Brendan George ko creates a very light photo to emphasise the writing which is on the photo. It is a very plain and clear photo to give off an emotional effect for the viewer with light peeping through the leaf and then a dark shade where no light is coming through on the leafs.
My recreation
I recreated this work by cropping my original photo to just the tree, and using the writing over the photo give the same effect as Brendan George Ko. The photo was taken on a late evening, so that would explain how the sky is the colours that they are.
Barbara Kruger
Barbara has used a very vivid image to draw your attention in , with use of words playing on knowing how it feels makes the poster very powerful. I also like the way she has used red as the colour as people associate this colour with danger.
My recreation
I have used a flower to show you care about the person as they would cherish this. I have used these colours as they are very srrowful and shows kindness and is very different to Barbaras as it is completely opposite to her photo.
Aura Rosenberg
In this photo Aura has shown a boy with text written all over his face which gives an intention for the viewer away of expressing words across to the viewer. Her main focus is the boys face with the words which is giving across a meaning for people.
