NICE AND DIRTY SIDE OF EASTBOURNE

I like the way the artist has caught the wave crashing onto the shore and I also like the black and white filter he has used on the photograph. I would like to use the black and white effect and the crashing waves from his work and use it in some of my photos.

My photos reflect the artist because they are black and white and both show the waves. I used viewpoints, angle of view and filling the frame for these photogrpahs. I also editted them to put a black and white filter on to them. I have filled the frame on both of these photographs.

I like the way Crespo has croppped her photos into a shape. I plan to take this and use it in some of my photos because I really like it. I also like the way the artist has used different colours of the sea in these two photos. I also like the way the artist used little quotes underneath her photos.

To get these photos I used different viewpoints and angles. These photos reflect the artist because they have been cropped into a circle and I have editted a quote onto the bottom of the photo.

I like the way the photographer has used short quotes over the top of his photos. I plan to use this on some of my work and I also like the fact he uses quite dull photos behind the writing. It looks like he takes photos through windows which gives quite a good effect.

These photos represt the artists work because they have writing over the top. They have the same colour writing and similar fonts. I have blurred out the person in the botton photograph but only a little bit so that there is more focus on the writing. For these photos I have used viewpoints, angle of view, composition, background and filling the frame. I have also used the seagull as the focal point in the top photograph.

I like this artists work because I like the contrast in colours between the birght backgrounds and the writing. I really like the font of the writing as well. I would like to take the writing over the top of the photos and use it on my work. Also, I plan to edit some of my photos to get the colours that Ruscha has.

My top photo has been inspired by the artist by the colours, I editted the photo and solarized it to get the types of colours the artist did. In the bottom response, I used a low appature to get a blurred picture so that I could put the writing on top. In the bottom photo, I used viewpoint, composition and a straight angle of view.

I like the way the artist has put two photos on top of one another and has changed the opacity. I think it has a really nice effecy and I would like to use this in some of my work. I like the focal point as the tree and I think that the fact it is in the middle looks really effective.

These photos reflect the artist because the both have double photos with changed opacity. I really like the bottom response because I changed the brightness as well as the opacity to show a clearer difference. I used photographic techniques such as angle of view, viewpoint, composition and focal point.

I like the way the artist has manipulated the paper as part of his work and I would like to use this as an idea in my photos. I like the fact that the artist hasn’t used any colour and has just used black, white and gray.

I responded to Russo by printing off hard copys of my photograph and folding it to make a shape similar to how he does. I also increased the conrast in my flower and also increased the brightness because it was quite dark when it came out of the printer.

I like the way the photographer has used two seperate photos together and I also like the way she has used black and white filters. I like the fact that the extra photo she has used on top has a higher contrast than the backing photo. On the top photo I like the ripped effect on the section of the photo. I plan to use the ripped section and also the black and white filter. The photographer has used a geometric shape in the bottom photo which I really like.

In response to Werner’s work, I have taken the ripped section and used it in my work. I manipulated the photo by hand by ripping and cutting the photograph and then using photoshop, I made it black and white and also increased the contrast and lowered the brightness of the ripped section so that it stood out in front of the backgroud photo.
