Reflections Project Andrew Hartland Year 10

Jaroslav Rossler Joroslav captures the tree twice in the reflection of the water. He uses the rule of three but also break that by making a cross in the middle of the page. He gets the cross and rule of three by having the angle and position of the camera just right.

My response I have tried to recreate Jaroslav’s image by reflecting a object (i have chosen a chair and bedding) and have used a mirror and the right angle to reflect them off it.

Ilse Bing Ilse uses the angle of the mirror and positioned it so it would show her face in it. She uses lines in the background by having her curtains with lines

In the photo on the right i have incorporated the idea of a person and the refection of the person in the same photo. I like the fact that you have to know where to look to find the reflection in the glass.

The photo on the left used Ilse’s idea of using a mirror to reflect another one in the mirror. It incorporates the mirror in the mirror feel to it.

Linnea Strid

In Linnea’s photo she uses water as a reflection of a face. The ripples in the water bring the photo to life and make it more interesting and drags your eyes out to follow the ripples.

In my response to Linnea’s photo of a woman I have got a photo of a man and a sink with the tap running. I then photoshopped the man onto the sink to get the feel that he is actually under water.

Willy Ronis Willy captures a building in the puddle on the ground. The angle of the photo is just right to see the building but also get the womans legs in it to. The front leg is a little blurry but that is expected in the photo which the womans

In the top photo i have used photoshop to put a photo of a building in so i have another element of Willy’s photo in my response. In the bottom photo i have tried to recreate her photo by reflecting a lamp post in a puddle. I have got at at the right angle so the puddle gets the light in the middle of it.

Elsa Peretti The buildings are reflected in this art work that is despalyed in the street. I like this because it is art in art by taking the photo of the reflective surface. The photo is taken at a angle that also shows buildings in the reflection of the ball. The light in the ball represents good and the light in the surrounding area next to the buildings are darker that means that that represents the evil of the photo.

The photo i took thats on the left is of a photo of a glass of water which i edited on photoshop (the one on the right) i have added buildings into the glass to try and get the same fell as the ball reflection the buildings in the photo on the opposite page. I’ve tried to get the light and dark as well the light being the lamp and the darkness around the edge of it.
