Reflections Year 10 Jak Hafernik
Hsin-Yao Tseng
This photographer has taken a picture through a window which has rain drops running down it which gives it a oily effect which distorts the picture making it harder to identify it. The technique used are diagonal lines because of the telephone wires in the sky
Responses I tried to recreate Hsins photo by taking a picture with rain on the window so it gives the background either a blured and unfocused effect becasue the camara focuses on the forground rain drops or a distorted and oily effect becuase the rain drops run down the face of the window. I have used rule of thirds and focal points on both pictures by the car, gate and houses being the three different parts and the focus points being the rain drops.
Willy Ronis
This photo has been taken while a woman is walking over a puddle which is refelcting a lamp post which is hidden. The main focus point is the lamp and the depth of field is the road and the pavement .
Response
I have recreated Willys work by having a background focus and using water to refelct objects. The sainsburys sign is the background focus point like the womans legs and the reflection of the lamp post is the sainsburys sign reflected into the puddle. He has used rule of thirds and veiw points in his photo by there being the pavement, the puddle and refelction and the womans legs and the veiwpoint is a lower down perspective then a normal picture.
Abraham Linchon
This photo has used defraction in water to turn a rural landscape scene upside down to give two different perpectives of the picture. I like the colours used and the techniques because they all connect together. There is a clear focal point and a depth of field.
My response
I have to recreate his workby taking a picture threw a round glass the same as the other picture and have photo shopped it to show colour in the top right corner the match the colour of the sun in Abrahams picture. Abraham has used techniques such as focal point and background.
O-Renzo
This photogrpaher has used puddles to refelect the houses and buildings of the city of Prage. He has purposly taken the picture further back to give it a different perspective by showing the whole puddle and pavement which makes it more clear that it is a reflection and not a normal picture. He has used the techiques rule of thirds and diagonal lines by placing the puddle in the centre of the picture to make three different parts of the picture. Also the lines of the bobbily pavement and the puddle angle are diagonal which effects the way you see the picture.

Sean Mantey
Sean has taken a picture of the millenium bridge in Newcastle at night when it lights up all differnt colours, this gives it a amazing refelction effect. The techniques used are focus points which is the bridge and background which is the sky line of newcastle which hightlights in the dark sky.
I have recreated Seans picture by going to the same place at Newcastle quey side and waiting until night time to take the photo. The reflection of the light off the bridge creates diagonal lines and a rule of thirds techniques. Diangonal lines are seen on the railings on the left of the picture and the sides of the bridge. I like this photo because it is personal to me and it is my second home where my family live.
