ALL EYES Interview by John Demarco
EVANS ONE TIME
You know the inspiration was just to create great music. I wanted a vibe that could be spread to the masses, as well as give that early 90’s feel. Something people could feel good about, especially the beautiful women.
ERIC BELLINGER
Eric and I have mutual associates in this industry. Soon as I wrote it and laid a references, I knew I had to get him on it. I reached to Sam Hook who works very closely with him. Sam sent it to Eric after I laid it, he returned it that night and we knew we had a smash.
FEEDBACK
The response is amazing, FM radio, and the online presence is circulating. It’s doing what I hoped it would do and that’s growing daily.
GREATNESS
You know, I like Lil Baby and The QC Movement because they are doing things on there on terms. Of course my TDE fam, Kendrick, Jay Rock and my man Nipsey Hussle to name a few. Last but not least, I like what my team, TEA (The Evans Administration) is doing. We are making great strides for greatness.
INSPIRATION
Game, Ice Cube, Nas inspired me early on in this industry but my crew motivates me daily. We know we can become a household name, an empire and that’s what we strive to do.
HIGHLIGHTS
Truthfully I appreciate being in the XXL and THE SOURCE magazines, and going on tour overseas with Game. However, nothing matters until I bring a plaque to my city... I need a gold or platinum plaque!
PLANS
I’m going to continue to build my name and brand, drop a few more singles, hopefully an EP in November and then, a full length album in January. Instagram @ whoisrichie Photo by iamwulf.com

When and how did you start painting? It was back in 2015 when I went for a healing meditation trip to Thailand. I felt quite depressed to be honest! I was looking for something to relax my mind, where I can express my feelings and what I could maybe combine with my music career as a DJ. My Lifestyle was quite busy especially at night. First I thought it might be just a hobby but then later on, I had few requests from people who were interested in buying my art pieces. That was such an overwhelming feeling. How did you first begin to develop your unique style? When i was a teenager, I was really good at art class, drawing was okay but I always preferred bigger brushes. First, I experienced here and there with a lot of colours, faces and figured out that I love big abstract art. That’s how I started last year vinyl power, music vibration on canvas and wood. Now this is what my new black & gold art edition looks like. A big massive vinyl. What is art to you? Timeless and without any rules. Every Artist has his/her own style. There are so many great talents without an art degree. The reason why I mention this is to give hope and confidence to every artist out there. How often did I heard “Ohh well you need to study art, what you paint is not even close to abstract”. Yes, it might help to have an art degree, but if your art doesn’t look great to the person who wants to buy/support it then it doesn’t matter. What forms of painting do you use? Oils? Acrylic? I do use both. Acrylics are easier and faster dry but the new black edition only works with oil. It takes 6 to12 months until this art is really fully dry. Do you have a favourite way of working? Always with music, very important to go with a positive flow. Music is like therapy and if you sing and paint, it’s much more fun than a quiet studio. I paint daytime and nighttime but never early in the morning. That’s my routine. I read somewhere you sent your artwork 65 km (over 200,000 feet) high into space! Wow! Can you share with us this incredible story? Yes, that’s correct, it was in October 2016 at one airport in Germany. I wanted to try something different. So I had the idea with a friend to send “Serenity” out to space. I didn’t even think she would land back safely on earth but she did. Since then, she is hanging in my art studio. I feel the positive energy with this art piece. Imagine she was 200000 feet above earth. Then the balloon busted and she had a parachute and landed 400km back were we start. You need to watch the video to it to really feel it. (Go to facebook.com/pg/sabrinaterence/videos) Can you tell us about your upcoming exhibition/ shows? For my Art I have planned one Show in Germany this year and 2019 in London with one big Art gallery. I am very excited to finally have a solo show. I will be flying to India on the 12th September for my Dj tour as well. So its still nice to rock the crowd. After this I spend few weeks in Dubai, work as a dj and do some customized art work. What are your other hidden talents? I studied spiritual counselling last year and got my certificate as an advisor. I don’t call it a talent but I love to help people, I do this for free

“My biggest sacrifice I’ve made as an artist so far is to quit my regular grind and dedicate all my time to pursing my dreams.” MUSIC
I knew I wasn’t meant for “everyday” life. There was so much more for me to accomplish, and that knowledge motivated me to go that much harder with my music. Dropping my first mixtape was proof I’m destined for something greater. Music is life!
THE NEW GOSPEL
My upcoming album is entitled “The New Gospel”. The concept of the album came from my realization that you have to embrace the good with the bad. So many artists these days sound the same. I’m a fresh face with a unique sound and lyrics with substance that will make you think. I want to impact people.
IN THE SHADOW
It’s not really about anything “happening” - it’s more about my drive and commitment to make sure I do everything right this time. I’ve started to work on adding sound engineering and even producing my own beats to my list of talents. I’m inspired to do great things and excited to unleash my sound for the world to hear.
UNITY MAKES STRENGTH
TKF stands for The Kush Family - we always keep the kush rolled. And FGC stands for Forever Getting Cash or Fly Guy Committee. We are two different teams that came together for the greater good of independent artists in the state of Nevada. We got next!
MOKA BLAST
My engineer Sherrod was the mastermind behind Moka and I working together. We first crossed paths with Moka at another
local recording studio and overheard him talking about needing to bring on some new artists at FGC Studios. Sherrod jumped at the chance to play Moka a couple of my tracks for consideration. And the rest is history!
SACRIFICE
My biggest sacrifice I’ve made as an artist so far is to quit my regular grind and dedicate all my time to pursing my dreams. I wouldn’t have it any other way as this music is all that I exist for.
INSPIRATION
Well, first I roll up some kush and close my eyes. I think about my past experiences and how far I’ve come. Then it’s go time!
FGC
I found my home with FGC Studios. Moka has not only been a source of support but I know he believes in me the way I believe in myself. There is no stopping me. With FGC Studios and Moka in my corner, I’m going to the top.
FAILURE
Going to prison would be something that I viewed as a moment of failure in my career. But ultimately, I look at it as a positive now. I was given the time to learn patience. And I was reminded that, no matter what your situation is - good or bad - you have to always strive for greatness. Never give up - keep pushing, but take the time to learn the lesson. colin mcintosh “We know that’s objectively weird for a bedding company to do, but we’ve helped literally dozens of people find new jobs just because we care about them as people.”
FRESH
When and how did “Sheets & Giggles” begin? What did lead you to create this brand specifically? I’ve always been passionate about puns, sleeping, and sustainability (maybe even in that order). I wanted to start my own physical product company that was made from sustainable resources, and I owned SheetsGiggles.com (I own a lot of pun-based domains), so I thought late one night as I stared at my ceiling, “Why not bed sheets?” That’s how it got going. I did the market research, decided we could build a meaningfully different brand with better products at good prices, and then incorporated a company and trademarked a pun (my proudest achievement). Since our launch on May 1, we’ve received 5,000 preorders in just a few months! Public reception has been overwhelming. We’re shipping all preorders in September, which is hard to believe!
SHEETS & invasive in a good-natured way; as one example, people sometimes write in asking to cancel an order because they lost their job. We of course refund their order (and sometimes comp the sheets), but we also direct them to our blog where we have a post that gives a full, free resume review service and job hunting advice. We know that’s objectively weird for a bedding company to do, but we’ve helped literally dozens of people find new jobs just because we care about them as people.
What materials do you prefer to use and why? We use sustainably grown, renewable eucalyptus tree bark as the base wood for our lyocell sheets, which are a cellulosic fabric (i.e., they’re made out of cellulose). In doing so, we use far less water than cotton bed sheets, less energy, and zero pesticides or insecticides (cotton uses an estimated 16% of the world’s insecticides). We’re thrilled to introduce people to eco-friendly fabrics that they’ve never felt before.
What is your vision for S&G long term? I’m picturing something like a Lord of the Rings-style siege of the last remaining Bed Bath & Beyond. Seriously though, I want to help people, so that’s my primary goal. To do that, I want to make products and a brand that just make people smile all the time. I also want to measurably decrease the amount of cotton grown and used in home textiles, and I’d like to plant millions of trees as a byproduct of our business success (we plant a tree for every single order). Blankets and sheets are the #2-most-requested item at homeless shelters, so we also have a donation program where people can send us old sheets to donate to homeless shelters on their behalf (#Give2Sheets), and we also donate all returns. Over time, I’d like to scale that program so we’re continually donating a sizable quantity of highquality items to homeless shelters.
What are the main advantages of using Eucalyptus for your sheets? From a product perspective, S&G’s sheets are extremely high-end. They’re naturally softer
You are also particularly involved in charity! Sure. My grandfather died of Parkinson’s at the too-young age of 74, so since 2014 I’ve donated monthly to the Parkinson’s
“From an environmental perspective, we use less water than cotton, less energy, and no insecticides or pesticides. Our sheets also biodegrade faster than cotton, though we hope you donate old sheets to a homeless shelter via our #Give2Sheets program.” than cotton, are more breathable (better for hot sleepers), and manage moisture better (a good thing for those of us with night sweats). Because they’re hypoallergenic, zerostatic, and have a low surface friction, they’re excellent for sensitive skin. They’re also more wrinkle-resistant, more resistant to rips and tears, and will hold color longer. From an environmental perspective, we use less water than cotton, less energy, and no insecticides or pesticides. Our sheets also biodegrade faster than cotton, though we hope you donate old sheets to a homeless shelter via our #Give2Sheets program. What is the target group of people for S&G, and which unique characteristics can your customers find in your brand? If you’re a human being that sleeps occasionally, we’re looking for you. We target people kind of like us: they can take a joke, don’t take themselves too seriously, love dogs more than anything, eat and drink in bed, work hard everyday, and care a lot about the world. We treat our customers the way that we always want other companies to treat us, and that shows in how we take personal interests in our customers’ lives. I’d say we’re maybe even a little
Disease Foundation, which focuses their donations on researching cures. There are also other terrific charities out there that focus on improving quality of life for people with Parkinson’s. I see it as partially charity, and partially an investment into my own potential future. Regarding Save the Children... it was kind of funny, I just got stopped one day in San Diego back in 2016 by a volunteer, and I became a monthly donor. (I always stop and talk to everyone that asks me to; it’s a weird habit, but I figure if they’re out there on a hot or cold day promoting a cause, I can spare a few minutes to hear them out.) Long-term when I’ve got a little more to spare, I’d like to donate so much more to so many more causes that I feel strongly about. When was the last time you “giggled”? A few minutes ago! Someone on Reddit saw my username (/u/SheetsGiggles) and asked about it. Two comments and a few puns later, and they just bought a set of sheets on SheetsGiggles.com :) I love how much the brand name makes people laugh. “Sheets & Giggles: pun-based bedding empire.”

A NEW ADVENTURE
FRESH
Clemablement “Every jewel is handmade in our workshop in Marseille, France. The artisans are using luxurious materials : real feathers, leather, enamel, precious stones, nacre...”
When did your passion for jewelry begin? I’ve always been inspired by ethnic looks. Since I was young, I have been wearing bohemian pieces, with fringes, brown leather, oversize dresses, boots... Then, to accessorize this aztec outfits I’ve always been focus on wearing accumulation jewels with gold, feathers, stones... My friends called me Pocahontas! When did you start working with Gas Bijoux Jewellery? I started working with Gas Bijoux three years ago. I was still a student and I made my work-study contract with this company. At that time, the digital became so important for a communication strategy. Then, they decided to hire me as Community Manager, press relations officer and photographer. What materials does the brand use for their jewellery and why? Every jewel is handmade in our workshop in Marseille, France. The artisans are using luxurious materials : real feathers, leather, enamel, precious stones, nacre... Their job is so amazing, they can work on only one piece for an entire day! What’s your favourite Gas Bijoux piece and why? I don’t have a specific favorite piece. Gas Bijoux is full of inspirations, sunny travels. The brand’s strength is all about this opulence of colors, materials and new jewels every week! I can have a crush at a moment for a piece and then new jewels are coming and I fall in love again for another one. Can you tell us about some up and coming things you’re working on personally? As I told you, I worked as photographer for the brand. After 3 years, I’ve just decided to leave the company ‘cause I felt I needed to discover something new. Some people, even them, told me to develop this photograph
skill. I really want to travel abroad. Find out new cultures, new people, new job... I’m really in a transitional period. Let’s start a new adventure! Your Instagram content is so catchy! Do you plan to develop your own branding via a blog or a Youtube channel for example? Thank you! I don’t have enough time to develop my own account. So create a YouTube channel or a blog is not a priority. I prefer to focus on my Instagram account and create quality content. What are your other talents? Doing photographies came to me a bit by chance with Gas Bijoux. I did some with friends because I got this artistic touch in my blood, but it wasn’t serious. Doing it professionally was unthinkable for me. So I might have some talent if they trust me for that! Also, I’m singing, but that’s a secret ;) What do you love the most about travelling? Travelling deeply inspires me. I need to see new landscapes, to discover the world, to be more open minded and creative. In addition to that, that’s an important moment to disconnect completely with my “very busy business girl life”. Tell us three things you can’t travel without? My new clothes, my besties and sorry... digital native basic necessity : my phone. Which destinations are at the top of your bucket list? New York and LA!!!! That’s my dream ever. Maybe I’ll try to manage a trip this year. I don’t know why I feel I’ll be home there. Very strange feeling that I can’t explain!

FASHION THEREZA REBOUÇAS INTRODUCTION
Hello, it’s my pleasure been interviewed by Fresh! I’m Thereza Reboucas, a Brazilian blogger living in NYC. I’m an architect and designer with a background and love in Fashion and Arts. I love to create and inspire people, I’ve been developing houses, landscapes and interiors projects from a while when I finally got the courage to make a big career move and pursue my biggest passion. So I came to the city to become a Fashion Stylist.
START
I started to blog in 2009, when I was graduating from the Architecture school. I started to work as an architect right away so I created the blog to share my projects and inspirations.. The fact is I’m inspired by fashion and art and movies and I wanted to share everything with my readers so that’s how it all started!
ARCHITECT CHALLENGE
The most challenging part of the job is visualizing and translating the clients needs and desires into a possible reality, into a drawing and then giving it life - it’s a construction of a dream, you know? And this is the best part too, because once you’re able to achieve it you see that satisfaction look in your client’s face! It’s priceless! Then it’s all sweat, sleepless nights and hard work :)
BALANCE
This is a very trick thing to do actually! Because the blog needs to be constantly updated and sometimes I got so tired of my work that I just want to sleep the entire day! Haha.. I try to schedule posts in advance and now we’re putting a Vogue Theriz team together so we can split functions.. it’s helping a lot!
NEW YORK / LONDON
It looks like a long time but it’s not even a year! I think this is my 8th month in the city. I had to come back to Brazil last year to work on a huge project, it was something very important for my career and I couldn’t refuse the offer. But I’m glad to be back again despite of all the craziness around here. I miss London a lot! I still want to go back there for living..
FASHION TREASURES
Well, my favorite spots for finding fashion treasures are the 24 24 - FRESH MAGAZINE
British ones actually. I have some key pieces in my closet very stylish and unique I found at some stores in London like River Island, Miss Selfridge, Accessorize and at the Camden Town market. The secret to find something special for you is patience. I like to look carefully to clothes and accessories when I’m shopping.. sometimes I spend hours at a store and leave with empty hands. LOL! You don’t need to buy something because everybody is wearing or just because it’s on sale - everyone is different and have different tastes and styles, that’s the fun about Fashion and dressing up! It’s showing your personality through what are you wearing, right?!
BRANDS
Yes! I love make partnerships and collaborating with brands. Lately we’re cooperating with 2 Home Decor great stores, one in Brazil called Kaza Design, which offers the most awesome and high quality wall papers from all over to world (I just decorated an entire house there with those btw) and the other is an online shop - The Printable Concept, that sells very stylish and unique wall prints and they have a tote bag collection too so it’s very much the blog’s style - mixing decor and fashion! Now we just launched a partnership with Revolve and we’re very excited about it!
ESSENTIAL ITEMS
There’s always a lipstick on my bag! MAC lipsticks are my favorites so I promise you’ll find at least one in which and every bag in my closet. I use to wear a lot of red shades all the time, it didn’t matter if it was day time or night time. Unfortunately I’m using braces now, so it’s all about light colors and all shades of pink.
STYLE
My style depends on my mood in the day or even on the weather.. haha.. For exemple, when it’s cold, I’m a rockstar, wearing black every day and leather pants and jackets and boots and faux fur coats.. when it’s hot, I’m a gipsy - long floral skirts and dresses, I like all white looks too and pink. My favorite season is autumn, because it’s when the rocker and the gypsy inside me can come together and match the styles + hats! :)) Follow Thereza on Instagram @theriz_re

“Now that I look back it was very stupid but I’m glad I was bullied because it helped me find my true passion.” FITNESS LIFESTYLE
I’ve been into fitness for 6 years but I just started taking it seriously the past 2 years. I got into fitness because I was bullied in high school for being skinny so I wanted to put on weight. But it soon turned into a passion.
TRAINING ROUTINE
I train 4-5 days a week. I like to switch things up and do out door workouts, workouts with friends, home workouts and traditional weight lifting. My schedule usually goes as follows: Monday: Legs Tuesday: Bicep, Triceps Wednesday: Booty Thursday: Back and shoulders Friday: rest Saturday: Circuit Training Sunday: rest
CARDIO
I do 5-10 minutes of cardio every day before I start my workouts. Lately I’ve been doing 100 jump ropes at the end of each session.
DIET
I do IIFYM (If it fits your macros)/ Flexible dieting. I do not believe in following a strict diet unless I’m competing or if I have a bikini shoot coming up.
REWARD
My favorite part would be helping other women fall in love with their body. Something about seeing the pure joy on their faces when they meet their goals brings me such satisfaction!
MOTIVATION
I’m not motivated 100% of the time but I try to remind myself why I started my fitness journey. Also I follow a lot of fitness girls on Instagram and when I see them putting in work it motivates me to go do the same.
MISTAKES
When I first started training, I was doing it for all the wrong reasons. As I mentioned I initially got into fitness because I wanted the girls at the school to stop picking on me and also I thought if I gained weight and wasn’t so “skinny” the boys would like me. Now that I look back it was very stupid but I’m glad I was bullied because it helped me find my true passion.
COACHING
I’m working on my website to do online coaching! It should drop by the end of the year. Instagram @slimfitd Interview by @Shinguil

Apart from that, I’ve co-written this single with great Bollywood lyricist Sameer Anjan.
As a powerful influencer, are you involved in charity? I love doing charities. The charities that I’ve been involved in are, Animal Equality, Boo2Bullying, Little Princess, Junior Blind. I turned vegan after joining Animal Equality. I had long hair which I’ve donated to Little Princess (Kids Cancer Charity) when I was 12 and reason to support Boo2Bullying is my personal experience. I’ve been bullied a lot for various reasons so I want to help other kids like me. In fact, I’m writing an anti bullying song for my upcoming EP. I support Junior Blind since my eye sight is so weak that I can’t read anything without glasses or contacts. I’m doing my bit to return the love which I’ve received from society.
