BIRTH PLACE...
CHALLENGE...
HIGHLIGHTS...
TOP 3...
I was born in Brixton, South London, United Kingdom December 7th 1987. I used to listen to music from a very young age. I was mainly into Hip-hop but I really started writing around the age of 16 when the genre Grime 1st started to get big over here. Growing up in South London the Hip-hop scene was really small. Everyone loved it but most artists were doing Garage, Jungle, Grime or house music at the time. It’s only as I got older that a lot of artists started to do Hip-Hop. As I’ve matured as an artist Hip-Hop is what I now represent to the core REAL HIP-HOP that is.
There are so many highlights but the main ones for me are making over £4,000 for charity through my E.P ‘Paying Homage to the King’ in a year. It was crazy. I never expected to make so much. Getting the story of my E.P in over 40 newspapers, websites & blogs including MTV I never expected so much support. Performing live at the mayor’s charity dinner in front of many different mayors from all over London. Going on BBC Radio & Ben TV to talk about my music. Being nominated for 3 awards in a year (the Official Mixtape Awards), Croydon Champion’s Award & Beffta (Black Entertainment Film Fashion Televison & Arts) Awards. Last but definitely not least was going back to back rapping with legendary rapper Krs-One at a hotel when he came to tour London... that was a big highlight.
YOUR CREW...
The movement behind me, Ragz-CV, is ‘Cleverly Versatile’ which is a label, Team & what I like to call my dynasty. I have many people behind the scenes and doing their own thing on my team helping me out including my manager Adam Porter-Blake, Business Partner, Friend & Comedian Junior Booker, Photographer/Graphic designer Lucy Davis, PR Jusnah Diamond Gadi, Web designer Harry Azariah, Producer’s Henley Simpson/my granddad Robbie ‘King’ Robinson Amazing singers Naomi Keysha/Deleelah & Video Director/ Editor Serge. I have an amazing team which help push me to my limits I’m thankful to have them all on board.

“Rapper with a Cause”
My biggest challenge is getting my music to the masses. Once that happens I believe I will be received well for my honesty and skill in music. When I make music, it’s just me letting off my frustrations & knowledge on to a page. I try to make music with substance; I want people to feel something when they hear me rap. That’s why most of my music has a message to it I don’t write just for the sake of it. A lot of people call me a role model now after what I did with my E.P. I want to continue raising money for charity through my music & inspire youths to be positive.
Hard question as I mostly listen to 90’s Hip-Hop with my all time favourites being Big L, Biggie & 2pac but the best lyricists alive would have to be Nas, Eminem & Method Man
PROJECTS...
I’m back in the studio working on a new album. The 1st single off that is due to hit spring next year but some new stuff could be dropping a lot earlier to build the buzz for an album I really believe in.
DREAM...
My dream is to make a good living off what I do best make music & try to help misfortunate people especially young people through my music.
RAGZ CV
I’m Lyrical, Real & Positive. As a person I’m confident, outgoing & very blunt (hence the name Ragz) I let people see the real Ragz-CV in my music, listen closely and you’ll learn a lot about my character through my lyrics.

Krazy Story... I played high level ball for a long time ( Provincial teams & collegiate level). Basketball taught me so many things to do with work ethic, never giving up until you reach exactly what you want. I don’t think I can put my finger on one major situation. Just all those years spent balling helped me evolve in a very positive way. Projects for 2013... Release A LOT of content. I’m working on my 2nd album right now. I’ll be releasing a couple singles in the fall aswell as just ”out of the blue” joints that aern’t necessarily gonna be on an official project. Gonna be shooting lots of visuals and just continue to spread the movement all over the planet. Why are you next hip hop fans krush... I keep it real no matter what. I make the music I want to make… All the better if people can connect with it. I never sit down and write a song for ”party” people or whatever. I want to make a living off helping people 12
out with my words… Getting to meet them and travel the globe. The money and fame obviously comes with what I want to do, but that’s very much secondary to me. www.twitter.com/DavieWest facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DavieWest instagram: http://instagram.com/daviewestdoe

INTERVIEW TIME KINGOFNEWYORK
For our readers, where do you come from? Where were you born? I am from Brooklyn New York, Born and raised. Who was Fyrare as a kid? Hmmmm, I was all over the place as a kid, always into something, taking things apart just an overall a curious kid. Heavily into art (drawing) and I just simply loved listening to music How did you get into music when you were younger? That special time you discovered your talent? I started out as an r&b artist who needed beats. So I decided to take it upon myself to learn. I started messing around with fruity loops (still using it heavily till this day) and decided to start learning as many instruments as I can. I immediately realized I had a knack for just going at it by ear. The rest is history How did you find your artist name? I’m Italian and black. I have always liked the name Ferrari so I just found a different way to spell it. Sounds like you have a real buzz in twitter... So Many fans! What’s your Touch? Why are you so different from the mass? Yeah my fans really love me on twitter and I love them as well, I wouldn’t be here at all without them. I try to interact and get on a first name basis with as many of them as possible and follow them back. I try to blend Hiphop r&b with a touch of alternative and rock. I feel I am different in many ways. Not just that I may spit a verse then sing a hook then finish it off with a guitar solo. It’s more than that. I’m an artist. I care and I am completely hands on for the entire process. So far, what are your 3 biggest Highlights? Definitely getting verified on twitter that was huge for me and my fans. Finally finishing my first official album And signing my first autograph that was really huge for me. Rapper, singer, musician, Model... Is it hard to wear different hats? At times it can be taxing juggling fitness modeling and music in general. I’m in the gym 6 days a week and i am also considering competing next year for physique...who knows. One of these alone is tough but I feel i manage them properly (or at least i like to think I do) I just try not to spread myself to thin... that way nothing suffers and I can always give my all Oh! im also getting into acting now! Be on the look out! 19 19
We saw your talents of guitarist on Youtube... Amazing! Also, we noticed that you love style, clothes & fashion. Even your guitar is customized and very original! Where did you find it? Is it your favorite one? Thank you! I really appreciate that! I am self taught and have been playing some time now. Fashion and Style is a huge part of who i am. I even have a clothing line launching shortly! Ah... the B.C. Rich iron bird limited... For sure my favorite, I even slapped a gears of war sticker on it! Back to 2010... What was the concept behind the “Eye on U” single? “Something everyone can vibe to”. I was working on the beat, finished it up and shot it over to Yuk, he then put that amazing hook down and basically the rest was history, we knew what it was as soon as it was done! How did the fans welcome that song? That song and my fans response to it made me who I am today in all due honesty! Who is the team behind your movement? I keep a small very small circle. BUT as far as my team goes, you will always hear me talking about Yuk. He has helped me hone my skills and basically help me put it all together, he has been guiding me every step of the way. My first artist and i’m super excited about it, Devin Ali, My co director for my music videos and one of my closest friends Eric Smith, Myself and Mike Sabbs at the marketing helm and of course my Mother, she’s been pushing and behind me every step of the way Your 2013 projects? My first official album release! I am really excited about it. I also had a summer song called “Girls”. My second big project for the year is my artist Devin Ali releasing her EP. I also am getting ready to launch a clothing line, I expect that everyone will be able to find something they like and can relate to. What is your opinion about the current state of hip hop nowadays? I feel the best word to describe things is “Saturated” but not really in a bad way, there are just a lot of artists that are trying to find their lane and the fans and listeners are getting bombarded with a lot. The internet is a gift and a curse for indie artists. Some have learned to circumvent the system and make it work for them...others are just online spamming us all day with links without connecting and touching base with the listeners first. What is your message for kids...those young Hip Hop addict!? Stay positive, never let people tell you that you cannot do, or be whatever you set your mind to, nothing happens over night and absolutely nothing happens if you don’t take the first step 20
How do you imagine Fyrare, ten years from now? Ten years from now i would have liked to have been able to give something big back to society in general. I will most likely still be producing, still setting newer and higher goals for myself and those around me. What are your dreams? Do you live from your music? My dreams are now a reality and I am forever thankful to each and every fan that helped make this possible. My music is more than a peek into a window of who i really am, It’s the easiest way to get to know me, even on a personal level. Why are you the FRESHEST 2013 artist? Simply put, cause I am an ARTIST. I am not a rapper or a singer or a producer, I am an expressionist and whatever that song calls for and what mood is required I will be there to provide just that, I live and speak through my music, you can listen to anything I have ever done and be immediately brought back to what I was feeling at that time...Just listen carefully. For our female readers, Are you single? Yes I actually am. What is your type of women? Personality is key with me, intelligence as well, Looks are always a bonus but with time those will fade and even sooner than they can fade, we become used to them. I like a woman that can laugh...especially at her self and learn from her mistakes. Goal oriented women who know what they want and are making the necessary moves to make those things happen that’s the biggest turn on! The perfect song to make love on? None.. I like to be able to fully pay attention to a woman’s body and reactions.

In a few words, I can define myself as an eternal lover of music, perfectionist, eclectic, with a thirst for success. BEST QUOTE?
BIRTH PLACE… I am Dj Beatmaker from the north of France. I started at the age of 17 years through a DJ competition sponsored by Vestax brand. The idea of producing my instrumentals came quickly and after I understood what I was doing. Very soon, I left my hometown to Paris to get and expand my network and I signed with a record company, Sony BMG. After that, I went canvassing in the U.S, especially in NYC, where I had some great artistic events such as Jim Jones, Uncle Murda, Jamie Drastik (Pit bull artist), Lumidee, Drake, Clyde Carson, Mr Criminal, Baby Bash , stash, neeek, ATM .... I am also in contact with many other artists with whom I hope to have fruitful collaborations and live my American Dream. STRENGTH… I think my biggest strength is the eclecticism that is my ability to adapt myself to different music and put my personal touch. I love challenges! Lately I started to make summer beats, very popular in Europe. I also did the sound of the commercial for Vossen Wheels and Audi .. If you want to grind, I think You need to touch everything. 22
YOUR CREW… I still do everything alone, artistic side, and the business side, it is hard and not always easy because you may have affinities with some people and you are obliged at one time or another to talk biz... At the same time the business side allows me to see further, as clothing lines or accessories of sports cars ... a kind of self-made man contractor. And anyway as we say in France “it is never better served than by yourself.” CHALLENGE… I’ve already done one, i did produce for artists that I listened to as a young man, it’s like putting one foot in the NBA for me. (Yes I play basketball too :)). When I write, I try to touch the listeners and make them feel that special emotion. It is the mix of love, hate, rage, nostalgy... when I listen to music, I get chills, even tears so I want the listener to feel the same with my melodies. TOP 3 MC’S… It is hard to choose, there are so many ... I’d say Drake much for his smooth RNB rap side, Ace Hood, and Fred The Godson who is really UNDERRATED!
TOP 3 VIDEOS... Hard question man! I would say Tupac - California Love-, Mickeal Jackson Thriller-and Notorious Big-Hypnotize! PROJECTS... We try every day to get as much as possible. I worked on the new album of Melissa M, which is one of the most famous singers in France, I did a dance beat for ” Big Ali” (the equivalent of Fat Man Scoop in Europe) and other projects are coming up with Lumidee, Lord Kossity, Demarco, TLF..... (All Dance, Hip Hop) rappers and singers included french nightclubs. 2014... I hope that 2014 will indeed be my year! Anyway I’m pretty happy with the year 2013, which is not yet finished so other projects can be added. Year after year the projects are bigger, also I thank the people around me and the people who has always supported me. For 2014, a lot of things are planned all over the globe.

“Ten years from now... More money for young artist more beef and gangs more black entertainers more sounds different styles” I grew up listening to No Limit & Master P. They had a big im-
pact on me growing up... Just his down south talk, Beats were real crunk. They wore gold chains, gold shades, they had all the money & street cred. I wanted to do whatever just to be like him or be signed to No Limit. Today I still ride and play their music like it’s new. I was born in Bronx (NY) but I was raised in Charlotte, NC with a single parent. My daddy was in prison for murder and just was back and forth out of jail for hustling. My mama raised me and my other 6 slibings. She tried her best to keep us dressed nice and food on the table but sometimes it was hard for us. We struggled but we survived and that’s how all the music was about struggling and surviving and Master P made a name for himelf after “Bout it bout it” came out. That let me know they live, feel and have the same motives as me but trying to be legit all in one.
The most incredible story that happened to me... hum..I
paid 1200$ to perform for webbie, and I didn’t even get to perform for him. My home boy was trying to let him know I was here to perform for him. Finally, they called me to come on stage with him. I was like foreal shocked, happy as fuck! Got on stage with him and was smoking that loud. My nigga was talking to lil Trill from Trill Ent. I remember her running over to me like “bra bra he was like you with Moët RARIGANG”? She came back over “bra he knows your name! My nigga came back and told me he got Lil Trill number! I hit Lil Trill da next day and I asked him “what’s up with a feat”? and he said he would do it when I am ready!
2013... My Mixtape with Ben frank nov 22th “Nowedntdo”
Moet vol 1. Hood affairs DVD coming out the end of Nov. More videos coming soon and my tour starts Nov 3rd goin to 45 different cities! if you want to know the dates for your cities, go to my twitter @ Moetyb6638
I Got Next... Cause I Been Doing This Since I Was 8. Now, 15
years later I’m living the celebrity life, doing shows, people knows my name and I’m in the studio every week grinding and doing watever it takes to get me to the top. There are not a lot of female rappers in the industry and this is my dream and I have a passion for Rap . I went through a lot to get here and my music speaks for itself like i am about money, enjoying life but i know it’s a cold world and I’m ready for whatever comes with the rap game. Just from my style, I got a Different sound than others and I rap what I live. I want people to know me, feel my music and understand I’m just like them, just got a lil money and fame but I’m human. I do it from the heart and for the hustle and the people who struggling , want to be in this position... I’m NEXT!
28
“I’m honest about my art, my life and just the way I live. I pay for everything I do. Nobody helped me to get here” My Dreams...To make it BIG in the industry, take care of my
family, live the life I always wanted to..... Like performing, making music with da best and let people hear my story and understand dreams do come true... You just gotta strive to make it!
I’m So Different... Cause I’m honest about my art, my life
and just the way I live. I pay for everything I do, nobody helped me to get here. I’m not kissing ass or pretend to get signed or make a name for myself.... I got a different type of flow and I’m not just a one hit wonder or a ordinary rapper!
My opinion... about the current state of Hip Hop? It’s more who got BIG money, who hustle harder, who chain shining... it’s not about lyrics... like if you got a good beat, a great chorus, that’s the song people be fake but that’s not real rap for me! #FAKEMUSIC
Ten years from Now... More money for young artist more beef and gangs more black entertainers more sounds different styles
Is Hip Hop too materialistic? Yes because all the game matter how who got the most money, who got the fastest car ,who got the nicest clothes and chains or watches... it’s bigger than music. it’s more hardcore street rap then Hiphop
Women In Hip Hop... It’s only few in the rap game so it’s not
big as the fellas in the rap game but when a woman is in the game she always represent and stands out since it’s not a lot of female artists and I feel it will Always be like that until a lot of females step up and go hard for their names and for the rap game!

“Your recipe for the perfect romantic date? Well there is no recipe. Either its romance or wack. But I would have to say just being connected and into each other as if noone is there. Island, house, couch, dinner, movie s etc....

“I dont compare myself to other people because I am uniquely myself. What I can bring to the table is versatility, my features are very unique. Each shoot I look like a different person. I am Black/PuertoRican/White/French/Indian. I also have helped out many photographers careers and remain professional on any set or shoot. I am humble and always take my craft very serious and to the next level.” How is the modeling industry in your area? Do you feel that there are a lot of opportunities for young upcoming models? I am Originally from Boston and have lived in several places around the globe due to military family and I must say that Seattle doesnt really have a nitch for girls of mixed races or even black models. Its a great place to get top dollar for cooporate shoots but if you want to make a name for yourself I would travel to other places. Dont get me wrong Seattle supports me to the fullest but I had to move on. Cali/PO/Vegas/ Miami are some spots I travel for work. Is Modeling your full time job ? Yes it is. Don’t get me wrong I have a few degrees in other areas but this is what I love. And I have a great support system.
