FAMILY TIES...

The CEOs of Familyties are from my area. Which is “The Golden Triangle”, a sort of Metro area in north mississppi. While i was hustling my first mixtapes in mississippi, it was Young Star(J.R.) that called and told me about devoting that same time and money to a market like Atlanta that was already cultured to except and support hip-hop/rap music. I moved to Atlanta, later signed a contract and behold they took my act from the streets to the internet which was almost like showing the world the diamond in the ruff.

HIGHLIGHTS...

To get over a hundreds of thousand views on youtube and thousands of views and downloads on the mixtape circuits have been a blessing. No one from my area has ever done these numbers...ever. Its a blessing!

STAY (the song)...

Every record that I’ve ever done is fiction. “Stay” is definately real. As “Brick In the Wall”, “Something 2 Say”, “Take A Chance” and any other record you will hear from Nation.

THE BELIEF (the Mixtape)...

I didn’t expect that huge success. I felt it was still too early but due to situations with the lead artist on the label the focus shifted to me. At that point I haven’t even been around 2 years yet so it caught me by surprise.

THE BELIEF (vol.2) ...

That’s exzactly what this masterpiece is going to display, growth of a more experienced artist. Contrary to what people may think, there has only been more trouble with the law, relationship drama, controversy in business, family problems, money issues and all else that comes along with living life. It has been my everyday struggle to keep inspiring my genius. I’m more excited than ever.

THE REAL “ME”...

I can’t reiterate enough that Nation is simply the voice of the people. He’s merely waiting on his moment to give back to the people to give jobs and opportunites to those who would have never had them if not he didn’t make history. My values are that of any great american. I’m a father first and a business second.

PROJECTS...

I got, of course The Belief II, NationUnited II, we just launched the website: Nationsaidit.com, and I’m thinking about releasing my first EP.

DREAMS...

I’m living my dreams. I’m experiencing the best of both worlds. I’ve manage to do what nobody from my area has ever done as an artist and I see great things coming to my wall of accomplishments. I understand I can’t have it all but I believing God has written in my share already. As a man I believe I’m doing the great job of raising my son into a man. I couldn’t ask for more.

2013...

We,as men, tend to go for what we know. We keep hustling until we get to where we are comfortable. Thing is, a real hustler never mentally gets to the state of mind. Some of us come to the realization that a check isn’t worth losing real love. It eats away at a person to the point of clouding your judgement which leads to tampering with your focus and you find yourself trying to put in that time with love before its to late. As late as we realize it sometimes a person in the streets gets lucky enough to catch love before its too late. Others aren’t so lucky but at least they took the chance to try but still live with regret.

“The songs I put out are just reflections of the family man, from what I’ll do to provide to what I’ll do to protect.” Coming from nowhere...

T

here are some stories that inspire you when you are at your lowest. Some stories that make you under-

stand Life is Hope. Some stories that prove that dreams become reality when your determination overrides all your doubts, when your only sources of inspiration are Love, family and loyalty. Warchyld, native of Philly, is the main character of this story. Not a movie, not a fairy tale, just the real life of a dreamchaser. A young goon growing up in the infernal disorder of the street as we can wach on our TV screens. Gangs, violence and police as the main daily background. The death or prison seem to be the only options possible for this young dreamer for whom God choose another destiny, another way... The rebirth.

This is that way Warchyld chooses to follow with lucidity this night, locked up in his prison cell. You know, those nights of deep sadness... When you have the power to change your life with one decision.... A good or a bad one... God guides Warchyld to take the right one “Sitting in that cell, day after day knowing I was wasting this talent I was given killed me. It made me realize that I had to stop putting the streets above my music. It also gave me the focus to keep going no matter what, because when I sat in that cell I prayed to God that if he lets me out I’d focus myself on this music and leave the streets alone.” The street, prison, the loss of his friends have forged a personality ready to face every situations. Those facts lead him to dedicate all his time to music and the art of writings. The writing to forget, the

writing as the only way out to reach the light. Work pays. Always. From these long nights working in studios, struggling to pay bills months after months, the rapper brings his première big contribution to the world of Hip Hop with the HOT 16’s mixtape released a couple years ago. “I hustled to get everything done, from the features to the recording to getting it out there.” This mixtape marks the dubbing of Warchyld in the underground scene as an Emcee. One of the most promising artist of his generation.

Flirting with the stars..

But the passion of Music, the thirst of success are dust compared to the happiness he, and his wife, know with the birth of their daughter in 2011: “The birth of my daughter made me understand what it is to

“Worst nightmare? Not making it to the threshold that i set for myself which would be failure. Thats my worst nightmare!” 20 20

be a man. I always considered myself an old soul, but I had to grow up even faster to make sure I can be the right father for my daughter. She made me realize that this is bigger than me and my love of the music” When your dreams are motivated by Love, there are some men whose the will is unstoppable. Fed by the confidence and the inconditional support of his family, Warchyld distinguishes itself as being one of the most talented artist of his time touching a larger public nationally. When we ask him what has been one of his biggest highlight so far, the rapper, recently established in Miami (2009), prefers to stay evasive and humble. Nevertheless, in 2011, his song GOOGLE ME NOW is featured nationally in “The World According to Paris (Hilton)” with Lil Wayne as the super guest. This TV show spot gives him the interest of all the medias like radios, televisions and magazines. “Google Me Now” is metaphorical on multiple levels being that it represents an indy artist’s plight from the background to the foreground of the music industry after much tenacity and sacrifice”- Lisa Ford Blog. Being a big fan of Paris Hilton, Warchyld hides his pride & satisfaction behind his humility and prefers to stay focus on the next steps of his career.

From tears to Triumph However, the fate reserves sometimes many surprises. In June, 2012, Warchyld loses his beloved little brother. A tragic event which, once again, marks the life of the young hustler. One more loss. One more wound. And nevertheless, this unbreakable faith which helps him to trans-form his anger and his sorrow into a very positive energy. This “titanesque” energy which allows him to move on in the name of the missing people that left him too early. Plodding and patient, doubling day & nights efforts, Warchyld works hard on the elaboration of his new tape -THE STREET IS BACK”. This mixtape, recently released (available for free on Datpiff.com- http://www.datpiff.com/ mixtapes-detail.php?id=430497) gathersdifferent prestigious collaborations such as Slim of 112, Jacki O, Style P, Mistah FAB etc... Initially foreseen for Halloween, the artist chooses to postpone the date of release to the 12/15/12 because of Hurricane Sandy’s dramatic events which strikes the american north east coast. This mixtape, hosted by the legendary DJ KAY SLAY, gives a large preview of how the

artist evolved tecnically & lyrically for the last years. Predicted as the “Mixtape of the year” by the Bible of Hip Hop “The Source”, The Street Is Back is making numbers day after day & the notoriety of the dreamchaser is growing up far beyond borders. 2013 smells the success for the goon of Philly with new music videos, a new mixtape already in preparation hosted by DJ OP (D-Block) called “The Commissary”. A tour in Europe & North America to promote these mixtapes are being planned as well. Warchyld lives far from the glitters and aims at embodying the true values of Hip Hop, its roots and its spirit. Peace and Brotherhood, are the real essence of Hip Hop. Arent they? Warchyld understood Hip Hop educates & inspires millions of young kids from the street who need to know “Success comes from Dreams...” What is the next chapter for Warchyld? Only god knows but Mr DREAMZ magazine already predicts that Warchyld will be the rookie of year 2013! www.warchyldmusic.com

“In my thoughts I am just a pilot and my job is to take my fans on a different trip with every song”

My Best Song

My best song was “Jimy Hendrix” reason being it had the biggest response yet, it broke The ViDdisc Urban Top 30 charts at the #20 spot. At the time none of my music had ever broke any charts, in the top 30 I was in company with names like Lil Wayne, Tyga, 2Chainz, Wale, Missy Elliot, etc., you get the point. I was like wowed by my own work. The Jimy record is like the hidden voice of the underdog, so if I scream loud enough then somebody will be forced to pay attention. The song has a heroic tune and it pays respect to the great Jimy Hendrix and it’s sort of political I guess, I really just spoke from the heart. At the time I was just feeling very underrated & feeling unnoticed for all my hard work. I guess my frustration transpired into my biggest record yet. “Lights on Stage Right Jimy Hendrix!!!”

My Best Verse

My best verse, damn that’s a hard one they are all my babies in a sense. But if I had to pick one, it would be the intro verse on my new tape “Space Jamz”. The tape starts with a John F. Kennedy Speech about the exploration of space and the reasons we traveled to the moon, and then follows up by me drawing a very vivid image of my travels. I pretty much tell the fans a 32 bar story in 12 bars, I take them from my childhood all the way up to future predictions of my success. I mean damn I landed a feature with JFK a dead president, the only thing that can top that if I get Obama on the remix. Just kidding!!!

“Make sure the next thing I do is bigger than the last thing I did.”

My Best Memory as a Performer

In 2007 opening up for the homie B.O.B. I remember being a little nervous because they keep moving my time slot back I was so anxious & ready to go on. It was at the Pool Palace in Atlanta, and anybody from the A will tell you that use to be the spot!!! I got on stage spoke my first word and the rest was magic, R.I.P. to that performance killed it!!!

My Best Experience in the Studio

Working with Lil Flip in the studio was a pretty cool experience, me & my friends use to bump him pretty religiously in high school. So for me to actually collaborate with him on a song was big. We worked on a track named Gametime with P.O.T. The production was crazy by 3D a.k.a JackSwagg, Skot Fri & Dee Dot. That boy Flip was late as hell I thought he was about to stand me up…lol. Naah but he showed up and wrecked his verse!!

My Best Meeting

My son being born is definitely #1 on that list, I was in Atlanta at the time doing some recording for my album and I got the call saying that he was coming three weeks early. So I rushed to the airport and caught the red eye to Dallas, my best friend picked me up and we drove like maniacs to the hospital. Perfect timing my little prince refuse to come out until his dad got there, best day of my life hands down, my future Grammy won’t even top that one.

My Best Video

“Jimy Hendrix” the energy was perfect palm trees, phoenix sun, and our famous tour van of

course. We shot in the middle of our “Skywalker Tour” in Phoenix. I recall me and Billy my DJ were running on fumes the day of the shoot, but we definitely nailed it and came out with a masterpiece. The record was so big and stood for something, and the visual just gave it an amazing platform.

Best Way To Define My Self

I’m the voice of the underdog, the people they don’t give a chance to, the people they look and pass over. I will knock at the door of success until the hinges start to loosen, because that defines walking the walk. In my thoughts I am just a pilot and my job is to take my fans on a different trip with every song, the art of my story telling has to be genuine, but limitless.

Best Way To Turn My Dreams into Reality

To continue to do what I am doing, never lose the love that I originally brought me into making music. Make sure the next thing I do is bigger than the last thing I did. My reach is to be an icon, at the end of it I want my name to be mentioned with the Jay z’s, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Tupac, the dream was just the thought now I’m wide awake with a plan to get there.

2013 is The Best Year Because

I landed the cover of the Fresh Magazine, I am dropping a monumental mixtape “Space Jamz” releasing Feb.19th and headlining a huge national tour to bring it to the fans “Space Jamz Tour 2013”. The forecast is looking good!!!! 2013 is the best year because the screams of the underdogs are heard.

“I love Montreal, I do but where i need to go in my life, I felt I needed to go venture out in the world...” Quebec... How can you describe this area in three words for our readers? & why? Diverse, because in Quebec it’s like you have a little of everything... all types of backgrounds, of food, women and talent. Don’t get me wrong... maybe it’s cold in the winter but it has such a character to it that makes it a beautiful place. Challenging - As an artist, Montreal is a melting pot for talent. So may people are pushing and competing and you need to make sure you set the bar high enough with your music. However Being in a place with so much talent is hard because many people don’t understand they better should work together. In order to become successful you need a team. Moreover, being an English artist, it is harder to hit the radio in Quebec because of the radio laws over there as you need certain amount percent in french. The entertainment business in Canada has been largely focused and driven out of Toronto. In Quebec, we don’t exactly have all the opportunities other places may have... and or w. We do not have all the channels and outlets to bring it on a National Level. So It is a real Challenge to think outside the box. I find Quebec has some of the most creative people and so much creativity comes from this place. A great example 30 30

A lack of opportunities in Montreal... Is it the main reason you decided to move to L.A? I move around To L.A to Mexico to New York because I needed to! I like different places that gave me different opportunities and i met different people. In order to get what you want, I feel you need to move around to meet differHow is the POP/Urban music industry other ent people learn different cultures. I love Montreal, I do but where i need to go in my life, I there? Overall, we have a nice Pop/urban industry.. felt I needed to go venture out in the world.. It The party life is one of the best in Canada. We took me time to realize this and maybe i should do have a great blend of many things and Many have done it years back! One day, I woke well known artist that came Out Of Quebec on up and said “I need to see what’s out there”. a National and International level. Now to break I felt “hey .. NOBODY will give me anything” down Pop and Urban Pop, it is a little harder as and sitting in one city doing the same thing over anybody that had a shot of pop music left or and over I didn’t feel it would help me any more. moved away. Mainly because they needed the As Much as I do Love Quebec and Montreal, exposure they could not get there. There are I felt I’d rather be the guy that went out trying some great KEY talents that do have what it and experienced different adventures and see takes. However, I feel they may not get the Push, what comes instead of being the guy that sat Investment or chance if they stay where they dreaming punching a 9 to 5 card! I worked hard are. Concerning the urban culture, It is deep! in Canada and Montreal to be one of the best We have some the best promoters who have club mc’s. I already opened up for TLC, Emstayed in Quebec & bring great shows and par- inem, Usher, Lady GaGa and many more... I can ties along with talent to The city and province. say being in Montreal as an artist did teach me a lot! I know who i am and where i come from. Montreal has a real urban underground scene! is “Le Cirque du Soleil” and its founder Guy Laliberté and how he started out busking as an accordeon player, stiltwalker and fire-eater, and then founded one of the biggest Circus’s around and has taken over the world. From 0 to billionaire!!!

It sounds like you have lived so many different lives so far... Your first mega hit in 2001... Then businessman and now you’re back with hot songs like Whatta Night, Waitin 4 U, One drop... How your music has evolved for the past 10 years? My music has definitely changed.. LOL and I matured. I also wanted to sing more! In addition over the years, managing an artist, being an artist, booking artists, promoting events, writing and producing music, being a club MC and DJ has taught me different aspects of the business and to never be afraid to roll up my sleeves if I need to. My music has matured, as I learned different struggles and i learnt that music is not only about the words or the meaning. It’s also about a vibe! So some songs are just good songs to make us sing & dance. I learnt you need to just enjoy yourself. I needed to have some fun...come back with a more refined sound, a better grasp on my artistry and come with a great vibe and not be all about politics and serious issues we have in the world....I’m still a club kid, I grew up in the clubs! Hooking up with so many stars for your parties gave you the chance to develop an amazing network! Do those connects help you a lot as an artist now? I mean are you able to open doors more easily? I can tell you its great to network with people and be out there meeting celebs and just kicking it... Yes it does create a great network and it gives you a little stauts.. BUT To be real out here, people are about “what can you do for me and not what I can do for you”! and Most artist don’t seem to wanna help or do anything for other artists. NOBODY is an Island and everybody needs somebody. I respect Artists Like Neyo, TPain, Eminem, 50 or Dre ... as they get what it means to help and build another artists... Yes you do come across some artists that may wanna help and if they can they will BUT I am not one who goes looking... If somebody believes in you, they will wanna be apart of it or not.. I mean Look at Lady GaGa. She had a deal before being Lady GaGa... and then Got Dropped and It took Akon to make some things happen for her and Now Look! Tell us 3 things you love about Montreal... Food, Women, Club Life! If you could be in the studio working on music and have anyone from your country in your corner, who would you have in your team? I’d probably be smart and play The Drake card. as He and i were cool along the road in last few years we’d bump into each other talk a little and I admire his work ethic and talent very much. I think somebody like that could give me some good direction

and great music as well.. and he is a Team player.. and a smart Business Man. I know many people would say Drake or Bieber, BUT truth be Drake and I were supposed to work together years back but it just never came to because conflicting schedules and it wasn’t in the plans for then i guess. But that is somebody I’d like to have in my corner. What are your projects for 2013? Can you tell us more about your project with KARL WOLF? Project .. 2013 - is LIFE .. LOL thats already a complicated project! Well Im working on some releases over seas... as well working on new Single for Canada and The States. In addition, im Dj’ing more as I love being in the club and my friends in Mexico are rebuilding their club in Cabo - Baja Junkie! So I will be out there a lot as well working with them on some entertainment promo! I will perform and Dj a Bit as well.. Its like another home for me. I do not like to just focus on being a music artist. I am a multi tasker and I’m not afraid of doing something different than music at times. That’s what keeps me grounded and real.. Yes 2013 just working as much as I can.. I’d love to say ya I got a movie coming out here and this happening .. LOL Truth is I’m a Independent artist In this Major Game so 2013 is about working when I’m sleeping so i get to where i need to go. What are your dreams? Reach my music goals - get a Grammy - an American Music award - Mtv award - Much Music Award and an Oscar... Getting all I can reaching all the goals I can that are humanly possible. Owing My own entertainment company where I can give Real Talent a Real chance even if they do not have the budget. Dream is being happy for we are never truly happy. So My dream is like everybody else, Live long, Be successful in what I do and try to help others reach their goals. Interview by BB. Book

“My Dream... I wanna be able to help associations for AFRICA...” FRANCE... How can you describe this country in three words for our readers? & why? Magnificent - romantic - Delicious! France is really beautiful all around (the seas, mountains, Provence, monuments), and the food is incrediblyy delicious. The romance is everyhere in this country, but especially in the city I live in...Paris! How is the POP/Urban music industry other there? The urban pop culture is truly present in France, and I find it has progressed in the last few years. What is the French touch? :-) How did it influence your music? I come from the french Caribbean, Martinique to be exact. The Caribbean influenced me to make French pop music. How did you hook up with MAD Mike? I met Mad mike in the studio, he is beat maker... and a very good one! He has worked with many French artists. When we began to work together, it just clicked. We are both driving by music, and enjoy working together! 32

Was your featuring with Colonel Reyel your biggest highlight so far? I always love collaborating with artists known or unknown. The featuring we did together was a up beat song called “SOFT”, his fans discovered my voice through this song. So it did help me at some extent. What is the concept behind your song “Wyner”? The song Wyner is about a crush I had in high school. I was longing for a hot guy that never paid any attention to me, and only in my dreams he would see me. What are your projects for 2013? My album which will be entitled “7”, make the video clip of my next single produced by Wayne Beckford. Exciting!

I have two dreams, one is to be a world wide recording artist making great music, and the second is to be able to help the associations for Africa. I want to be more involved over there. I recently went to Africa and I found it beautiful. I wish My music could make a difference.

It is awesome, to experience all different cultures, surroundings, meeting all kinds of people in different mood swings, weather is a good touch! SPECIAL GUEST/ Will BYNUM “Let’s Make a difference in the community”

“family man first, humble, goal driven and determined...” Hi Will, thanks for sharing your time with Mr Dreamz magazine. What’s new for the Pistons? So far the season has been kinda hard... No? My goals are to make the Playoffs, hopefully we finish the season strong, continue to work hard and get better every day! Work hard to get better as a team! What is the major difference between the NBA and the European leagues? The major difference would probably be the athleticism. There are more athletic players in the NBA than in Europe. Europe is more team oriented. More “together as teamwork”, pass first! Over here is more individual based! Was your move to the Maccabi decisive. Did it launch your professional carrer? No the previous year, I had played with Golden State and I had played with Boston earlier on in the year. So Maccabi gave me a great opportunity to run with a high level organization.

Was it an interesting experience for you as a man? The experience just changed me.. My life! Before then, I didn’t know anything about Israel other than what was being said through the medias. And it’s made out to be bad. But once I got there, it was completely different! The culture, the foods, the people.. Everything was just so different. It was hard for me to understand and adapt new ways. My life style changed, my eating habits changed! I was eating a whole lot better. And it wasn’t as dangerous as people may think. The people were kind of hard on us as a team, cause they expect a lot from the team. The whole country depends on it. The team is like an extension of the country so it gets a lot of attention. The media was kind of hard on us, pressuring us, since so much was expected of the team. but the whole experience helped me as a player to be able to deal with situations like that. Every game is like your last game there. It’s that kind of pressure that Im talking about!

38

Concerning the Detroit Pistons... You have seen a lot of changes since 2008... Yes but now it’s definitely in the right track, it’s very hands on, it’s going in the right direction!

and made their way to success. So it gave me some kind of hope, something that I could envision for myself as far as making it out of the inner city which was tough to do.

Has there been any kind of frustration throughout this process? Yea there’s always frustrations. You just gotta stay within a team, remembering the organizational concept and fight through it (the frustration). It’s just like in your own family. Sometimes a member will do something you may not like but the next day you still love that person, That’s my approach to the situation.

As a pro basketball player you are selling dreams to young kids from the streets. Do you consider yourself to be a role model for them? It’s hard to say because when you’re growing up in the situation, it (the dream of making it out there) seems so far and it’s a different stand point where you’re looking at it from (growing up) the viewpoint you have now as an adult. So when I go back, I try to be hands on with the kids, and be approachable so they can understand that I’m just like them and know that I understand them.. I try to get them to see a more realistic view of what it takes. Because I know that it may seem so far away when your growing up. It did to me back then. But its achievable! Now that I’m here, I try to show the kids values as much as I can, things that I’ve learned and I’ve lived by. I just try to share it with them as much as I can so that hopefully can help. I’m not selling dreams, I’m telling the truth, what it all really is, and what it takes...like I said it’s tough, it’s like hitting the lottery. But it doesn’t matter what you are or what you decide to do, it’s the same steps. It’s the same formula and that’s what I think kids need to understand. And maybe you wont be a NBA player but you may be successful at playing in Europe or Overseas, or it can be in whatever you’re trying to do, be the CEO of a company... You have that type of focus and u give it that same type of effort, then there’s nothing you cannot do when you approach it like that! When you have that kind of mindset or mentality. Thats what it takes!

Do you have any favorite moments... It would probably be when I scored 26 points in a quarter, that’s probably my favorite moment. I had another moment where I broke a record: I had the most successes in the game... Franchised through.. That was a pretty special moment. Tell us something that an NBA fan does not understand about being a pro... It’s tough! Other than the media outlets like twitter, which I’m not a fan of, we, athletes, never have a chance to speak out to tell it exactly how it is, whats really going on as in your career level. I don’t think fans understand that. We are working for an organization so we have to be as politically correct within the language that we have to say something at the time. So you never would know what’s going on... from like every day basis to the mental challenges we deal with, every single day. And it’s so up and down emotionally that its tough keeping a balance! Focusing on Will Bynum, what music do you listen to? Who’s your favorite artist or group? I wouldn’t say a favorite. I like a number of artists... Kanye West, Jay Z, Lupe Fiasco... Just to name a few. Who is the Real Bynum... Behind basketball, behind the spotlight.. How would you desscribe yourself in a few words.. Im not one to describe myself... but a few words would be family man first, humble, goal driven and determined. Who were your favorite players growing up as a kid? My favorite players were Isaiah Thomas, Tim Hardaway... those were the kind of players I It just gave me like a vision... looked up to cause I I knew they came from the inner city of Chicago

“I’m not selling dreams, I’m telling the truth, what it all really is, and what it takes”

Are you involved in any type of charity, projects to help the community? Tell us about them! We are developing a foundation! Doing things twofold, trying to have a base here in Chicago which is his pride and joy but also trying to develop a fan base in the Detroit community. The foundation is called “Reach” and it speaks to people of different ages, not just kids, help to reach their best potential. So this last camp we just did, we incorporated an anti violence pledge. Trying to address the high violence rate in the city of Chicago, we partnered with the North Galleria Foundation. The camp had the kids play the sport, improve their basketball skills, as well as be educated on the issue of violence and hopefully inspire and gain an anti-violence perspective by signing a pledge!

“The foundation is called Reach and it speaks to people of different ages, not just kids, help reach their best potential.”

39

“It’s not just doing something in order to get media attention but about making a difference in the community!”

We had Different news reporters and anchors come in and talk to the kids providing them with hands on, experience and activities, giving tips on how to deal with the pressures of the media and being on the spotlight once they do make it in the basketball world. We also had guest speakers talking to the kids about health, food, exercise and healthy lifestyles... And what it takes to care for the athlete body. Those are just examples of the kind of events that motivate me and drives me as a person... It’s not just doing something in order to get media attention but about making a difference in the community! I don’t like the attention behind it. it’s just the way i was raised.. Thats not important to me. These are just priorities not just for me, but it should be a priority for everyone. It should be nothing that you talk about or how good it makes you look, it should not be something that you are rewarded for, when its something that we should do anyway!

40

How do you see Will Bynum 10 years from now? Im trying to figure it out right now, i have a bunch of different things that i want to do but at the same time, i want a challenge. I would definitly do something with basketball and continuing to make a difference in the community with it, that’s easy for me as far as like coaching and helping kids out there. But more than that, i want a challenge. I’m finishing up school this summer. I’m trying to figure out what path I’m gonna take as far as a next big challenge in my life! What are your dreams? Politics has been in my mind lately only because i want to help people who cant help themselves. I want to help them because I’ve walked the walk in the neighborhoods and i kind of understand what it takes and needs to be in these communities in which there’s a lot of violence going on.. A lot of thing that we don’t even hear about cause its not reaching the media and these

things have been going on for a long time, especially in the cites all over the country.. I think we need to start with he kids first... then its easier. thats where the problem begins. That’s where we should start! Any words to our readers? That family important, that family is everything... they are the backbone to everything that i have accomplished and everything that has been a part of me. I wouldn’t be where I am today or wouldn’t be able to share what my experiences have been if it wasn’t for them... them sticking by me and being there for me... and now my two beautiful daughters... Making my own family has been an experience which has changed me and inspired me! Family and love for the game is what keeps me motivated. Loving what I do makes it easier!

To let our readers know who is the real Kanary Diamonds... As a kid, what were some of your life-changing moments that get you into music? Well I started as a dancer and that introduced me to music. Coming from the Watts (CA), how is the Hip Hop scene for females over there? Is it harder for a female rapper to shine ? It’s difficult because there have been no females come out of Watts, CA, so far. I give the boys a good run for their money though lol. 42

“KRS-One has to be my biggest highlight because he paved the way for me to be able to do this.”

What does your artist name mean? It compares to the actual Canary Diamond, a rare diamond. Just because it’s a yellow diamond don’t make it a canary. It has to be certified just like rappers. You have worked with so many big artists in the game so far. What has been your best collaboration? My biggest has to be Krs-One, Dr. Dre, and Game. KRS-One has to be my biggest highlight because he paved the way for me to be able to do this.

“As I keep rising above this, I keep rising, I can see jealous on me, I can see a jealousy, In this life you know there will be ups and downs, This will make nobody ever hold you down, now!”- RISE ABOVE- Kanary Diamonds

Check out my site www.KanaryDiamonds.com and thanks for the support. How could you describe your sound, your style in three words & why ? Crazy, sexy, cool! Crazy because its dope stuff, sexy because my voice has a sultriness to it, and cool because most of the time I have a laid back approach to music. As you are half Puerto Rican... Do you rap in spanish as well? Do you receive a real support from the Latin community? Sometimes I do, but I’m starting to get more into it. I haven’t really exposed myself to that community yet. How did your fans receive the MY LIFE recent video? What were the main feedbacks? They loved it!! A lot of them said it’s their fa

ALL THE LATEST NEWS ABOUT BEL MONDO ON WWW.BEL-MONDO.FR How is the Tropical music industry other there in France? I think there is a good place in the market for this kind of music here. But I’m not sure it will be the same in 6 month or 1 year… In 2009, you had a big success in Poland with your dance hits “Club is Mine” & “Lady”. I’m sure you didnt expect to get such a buzz in that country no? Yes it was a huge surprise . Club is mine was one of my first dance song, and even 4 month after i received an email on Myspace from a polish label. They wanted to launch it , and in May 2009 the song was on top of the charts in this country. For me it was incredible, amazing !!! Did you perform other there as well? I did a lot of performance in clubs, on tv, during 2 years, but since the beginning of 2012 I focus my music on French market. So, I didn’t perform in Poland since one year now.And sometimes I miss that 2011... What an incredible year for you! Especially with the single BESO... Was it the first time you sang in spanish? Yes the end of 2011 was hot. Exactly, UN BESO is my first song in Spanish. After that I wrote a lot , OUPS, PORQUE TE VAS, DALE…and other which are on my new album. Puerto Rico...is a little island. So our first question is, how can PR have so many great artists in the industry? I mean the majority of Latin music big stars comes from PR... How can you explain that? Puerto Ricans are “Mestizos” mixture of three different races, inheritance Taino, Spanish and African, to join, gave rise to the prototype of the native “Boricua”. We have a very rhythmic and musical culture ranging from the percussive to melodic almost involuntarily, and in addition to the fact that we practice it very often being that we are a very partying society. I am very happy we have been born here. The public discovered you through your different works with Wisin &Yandel (WY records)... What has been your biggest hit during this period? The public that I was touched by, while with WY, was one very vivid, sharp and well partying, that’s why I had to do songs with these features, even though my style was popular, romantic and contemporary. The biggest hit was my participation in the album “La Mente Maestra” by the positioning of my themes in this production, and when we shot the video of the popular song “Me Estas Tentando” (Remix), which arrived very quickly to the Billboards. It was a very memorable event. My best memory with the company was visiting Canada with them and being on stage as the audience recognized my songs. I always remember how grateful I was with Wisin backstage for allowing me to present myself in a place they visited for the first time as well. Most of Latin artists are into Reggaeton, Mambo & Bachata... You often define your music as « Musica nueva/experimental »... Why? Why is your music so different & original ? Explain us... I think every artist should have a unique identity in their work. When I decided to throw myself into the music, I took it very seriously and made it my mission as an artist to always break down the stereotypes that currently exists by bringing something new and original to the market. Many follow fashion trends and view music as a business rather than as a tool of communication and entertainment. I know and recognize that it is a challenge that has risks, but for me and those who follow me, it is much more interesting and fun to have a new option for their minds and ears. I must be very honest and real with my music. My influences have come from Latin popular music such as ballads, salsa and bolero to American music like Hip hop, R & B, Electronic and Pop Rock for the discipline of dance taught for 16 years which is the urban dance. So the pseudonym of “prototype” is what defines my proposal. Can you talk about your recent single SHOT? “Shot” is a topic that is dedicated to the youth and nightlife. It is a hymn to the clubs. I think my public throughout the web are very young and fun and deserve to hear a theme that lights up the party outside of their work and studies. We deserve to enjoy, celebrate, and toast to life, friends and achievements! My followers inspired me at the time of New Year’s Eve and they all were in finals, finishing all their work and celebrating many things in their lives. We are young adults and I know many will identify.

Jaykomusic.com (official website)

“Latinos are very warm, sentimental, organic and very happy people.” 2013...Time for the album PROTOTYPE? What can the fans expect from that major project? Definitely the perfect year for a Prototype. This year is very futuristic and will have a one of a kind piece. They will not find anything like what they’re used to hearing. It will be very danceable and a variety of emotions. It will also include narrative themes of love and relationships. Do you have special guests on that coming tape? This is my first solo album, and together, with my team we have decided not to do duets or features since this project is daring and innovative and guarantees authenticity. It is necessary for us and for the public to listen purely to the “Prototype” of which we have been waited for, and let there be no doubt that the musical mindset is unique, different and original. Have you worked with a lot of artists from other countries? Or from Europe? Yes, I usually don’t seek popularity in features but in the quality of interpretation. I have had the opportunity to travel to many places and have met many talents. However, those with whom I have worked with are the ones that I desire to do a song with. I have worked with talents from Italy, Germany, Venezuela, Colombia, New York and Los Angeles with whom I keep a friendship as well as a professional relationship. I always like to make friends first and then work. How can you explain the success of Latin music all over the world nowadays? There is no wonder that we have the second most important language in the world and the most complex. Latinos are very warm, sentimental, organic and very happy people. We love the warmth and feel great affection for others. I believe in the art of music, the influence and sentimental projection that we possess, is the variation that characterizes us and what makes our songs liven up the audience. I am very proud of it! For all our female readers... Is Jayko single ? Hahaha! Yes, unfortunately my last relationship of 7 ½ years ended 3 years ago. Fortunately, today we are good friends. Is Jayko a real Latin Lover ? I believe so! Jeje. I give the best of me. What is the best place for a romantic rendez-vous ? I like romantic dinners. I prefer a nice restaurant and long talks. The best song to make love on ? (choose one of your song)... “Desnudémonos”, which means “let’s get naked”. The craziest thing a fan (woman) have done for you? Hiding hours on the floor of the hotel and knock on my door. The female celebrity you dream to spend a night with... Rosie Huntington Last words for our rearders ? Thanks for reading this entire interview! hehe God is good and may he bless you! And be very attentive to the release of the album [PROTOTYPE] on iTunes

Siempre me gusta hacer amigos 1ro y luego trabajamos.

Follow me @djvidy Where do you come from & how is Hip Hop in your area? I am european, from Geneva (Switzerland). I think the Hip Hop industry over here is very promising. There are a lot of young talents very talented! Your biggest buzz so far? or biggest satisfaction? My biggest satisfaction is to mix in nightclubs as a DJ whereas i dont have the legal age to come into clubs! You already have mixed for stars like Bow Wow, Jim Jones, The Game etc... Incredible experiences! If you had to just keep 3 best memories... Wich ones? What is your top3? Yes and i did mix for other U.S artists but, to tell you the truth, i prefer to mix for french artists because U.S rappers leave the party very fast! as soon as they finish their performance. They dont even talk with you! French artists are more friendly and stay, share time with you. They can even, sometimes, work with you in studio during the after party! However, my best experiences were Jae Millz (very cool & humble), Scred Connexion ( Crazy party!) as they are legendary in france, and 1995 (french young group) with more than 2000 people! it was magic! Don Logan’s DJ... I think you are very proud of it! How did it happen? Tell us the story... Yes, I am very proud of it. I did make a mixtape about MMG and they did listen to it and asked me to join the team of Don Logan DJ’s. I was honored as I am only 17. It is AMAZING as MMG is one of the biggest rap label nowadays. How did you become DJ? I did learn everything by myself, watching videos, listenning to radios... I was very inspired by DJ’s like DJ Premier, J Dilla, Pete ROCK, 9th Wonder... Locals Djs like Cut Killer, Green Giant, Klash, Vncz Lee did bring me a lot. According to you, what was the biggest 2012 HIT for dancefloor? Very hard to answer. There were a lot of hot ones but if i have to choose one, i would say POP THAT de French Montana. Your projects for 2013? First, i want to get more experience in nighclubs. I already have a lot of booked events, festivals... It’s already good! Then, i will have my own radio show on several swiss fm stations and one web radio in U.S. Im currently working on the release of my mixtape series “Vidy Tunes” that already get a huge success (for the previous volumes).I also have different collaborations with U.S dj’s. “I think I’m the next to blow because I represent a whole generation of young, dedicated, and ambitious MCs. I got the look, I got the lyrics, I’m marketable and I’m just a likeable person overall” FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER

@MonstaMill

Where do you come from & how did you get your artist name? I come from one of the toughest boroughs in Boston Mass: Dorchester. I got my name from the streets. As a kid, when I was playing ball or when I was in a free style cypher people would always say : that kids a beast, that kids a monsta. And the Mill$ part comes from two things : 1) my motivation, the millions what I do it for and 2) my real name is Jamil so the Mill$ comes naturally. Being from Boston, is it harder to shine for an underground artist? It’s harder because there’s not as many resources as other places like New York or L.A. but there’s still a heavy population so you know everyone’s trying to rap and come out at the same time. The competition out here is getting fierce so it all comes down to how much money and time your willing to put in and how bad do you really want it. We read somewhere you did collaborate with artists such as JR Writer...Tell us the story I listened to his music a lot when I was younger so when the opportunity came about to work with him I definitely was interested. I took the drive up to New York, we did a couple of videos and songs, and now I’m about to start working with his younger brother Fred Money. As an artist it opened my eyes and made me realize I’m shining a little brighter than I thought I was if these people that already reached stardom are willing to work with me. We particulary love your song « We Aint Playin » ft Marcello Cash... What is the story/the message behind that single ? The message behind the song is that ABL, which is my family and my crew, will do anything to make it; we aint playin. Other people say they want to make it, but they aren’t willing to put everything on the line for it: we are. Is Marcello Cash your music partner? He’s not really my partner but when we collab, we make good music and our fans love it. I certainly will be working with him again. In fact you can look out for him on my next mixtape dropping this spring, ABL: the Nation. What are your motivations & projects? For people who dont know you, Who is the « real » DA DEPUTY? Da Deputy is a 23 Year Old Hip-Hop Artist from Fort Worth, Texas. I’m a Artist that loves to make great Music, Honest Music… How did you hook up with Silent B Entertainment? Well My Homie Rayski Baby was signed to SBE first & We always was in The Studio, just stacking up on Records. Branden Brown, Uncle B (CEO of SBE) would talk to Rayski on a regular basis to see what was going on & Rayski told Him that, Him & I had been working on all this new material. Rayski sent Uncle B some of The records & B hit Me up saying, He liked what He was hearing & was wanting Me to get down with The Squad. We been making moves ever since. You did open for a lot of big stars! What is your best memory? Your biggest Highlight? It had to be when We opened up for 2 Chainz on His B.O.A.T.S Tour. It was in Little Rock, Arkansas at The Clear Channel Metroplex. Sold out, about 4,000 People in the building. I had never been to Arkansas, but when We hit The Stage they acted as if We were from there. It was an amazing show, You can see The Footage on YouTube.

“I want the Hip Hop culture to continue to grow...” Who are the producers who did influence your music? Well producers like nick martinelli, timbaland, the neptunes, daz dillinger, dr dre, dr premier, kanye west, just to name a few, there are others but they are some who have had influence on my music, they provide groove and that “feel “ with their music which influenced me How did you choose your artist name? That came about when I started writing lyrics, a few years ago, I would use certain words which people described as “big” words, they’ll be like “when you rap you got some big words in there”, people used to mention that the grammar in there was apparent as well, I kept hearing that so I said let me use the gram part and add the last part to describe how at the time, I came with my flow which was dramatic in terms of delivery, I changed the end of the spelling of dramatic and made it Gramatix. What production setup do you have? I’m currently using a PC with the minimoog v, korg ms20 along with a few hardware and vst’s, I have a simple setup at the moment, which I’ve had for a while though but is doing the business as I make it possible to achieve the sound I like and want. 56

With all those new software & equipments, is it easier to make a beat today? It is easier to make a beat today for sure, due to some of the more simpler interfaces, and ways some programs are set up to make a beat, it is good when the person using it makes sounds that are not what is the current trend but it’s about how it’s used as well as we all know though

-sic is good then they should be heard on a commercial scale, I want the culture to continue to grow

FOLLOW ME @THEREALSTNICKYD For people who dont know you, where do you come from? I’m from the 804 ! Middlesex County (Lost County), Virginia, USA As an artist, what are your motivations? As an artist and as a spiritual being, my motivation comes from the Pain i feel from hungry children suffering from poverty. Knowing billions of people slave everyday but don’t take action. My motivation comes from believeing and having faith through God that we will bring a Peaceful Change to this world…and we will ! 2012 was a real rebirth for you? Like a revelation in your life ? Can you tell us the story ? Sure, I feel like 2012 was a huge year for me to train Spiritually, Physically, and Mentally. In January I had been jobless and homeless with my back stamped to

the wall. I had hit rock bottom. At least i thought i did anyway until I saved myself by waking up to the illusion of the Materialistic Life I had been slaving (Its not living for sure) in and repenting for every sin i committed without knowing the truth of Life being Love and Love being Truth. So that’s when i felt the Almighty Creator fill my Mind, Spirit, and Body with this Pulsating Energy I had never experienced before. It was Extraordinary. For about a week without even looking at the « System Time », Hardly Eating, Hardly Drinking, and Just Meditating, I put all the pieces together and became Enlightened. I felt oneness. Then I was off to a Positive Start. What are your upcoming projects for next year? 2013 is going to be an amazing year ! 1st Mixtape of the year for me will be called « International » (Dropping On March 1st !) It will consist of artists from many different countries such as Naz-Kay (France), Key-Rhyme (Mexico) and Living in Sin (India). Sin is the CEO of YourDamSelf Worldwide Ent. and will be touring with Noreaga (N.O.R.E) in 2013. So Sin wants me to jump on tour when they get to the USA. Hopefully everything will work out smoothly as planned and they’ll get to tour over here. If not, well tragedy just brings A new beginning for anybody so either way I can only go up, up, and beyond our universe from here. I also plan to represent YourDamSelf Worldwide Ent. A whole Lot Longer Than Just This Year And you will witness every movement.. Trust Me ! Other than that, i haven’t planned anything else. Just Following my Heart, Staying Humble and Keeping an Open Mind…One Love !

Your style keeps you very underground. You have your own artistic world. Very mature & clever. We wanted to know what is your opinion about Violence & Hip Hop? Is there too much violence in Hip Hop lyrics? Before anything, bless up to the mag. I appreciate that y’all even noticed what my style embodies. As far as the idea of «violence in hip-hop» ? Strangely enough, I don’t. Hip-hop is an EXACT representation of the state of the world. We’re all just spokespeople for the people. So what outsiders, critics and hypebeasts would consider «violence in hip-hop», is a broadcast of what’s happening around us. Being that hip-hop or black culture, period, is an UNIVERSAL language, artists are giving fans the chance to walk with us, smoke with us, evolve with us, etc. Even if they live a few states away or as far as another continent. Once the state of the world changes, so will the music. With that said, I’d hope that more artists took a little more responsibility. Artists aren’t completely responsible for what happens, but we do play a major part in developing new trends and even generations. Influence is everything, so us as entertainers have more power than we might think. W/ this new generation of rising stars : myself and the rest of C.C.L.$, 7th Floor Villians/ Lost Leaders, The J3dis, The $ap13n$, Common Enemies, Lonnie Moore of Fastlane Campaign, Black Sheep Disciples (and this is just some of the clans coming out of Baltimore) : the world has a breath of fresh air breezing through VERY SOON… 58

How are you Flaco? What’s new since your last interview in Mr Dreamz magazine (summer 2012)? How have your projects evolved? Peace, peace ! 2nd time around and it feels good to be back. I’ve been working though. Progressing as much as possible. Steadily recording, performing and improving my delivery. My artistry as a whole, to be honest. Since we last spoke, I’ve dropped my first EP, «The A IP IE2 EP : All People Evolve Eventually » (available on Hotnewhiphop.com under CCLS). It’s a dope project that I TRUTHFULLY believe will be a classic tape. It’s over classic industry beats laced w/ a new school vision. It’s a 9 track EP divided into scenarios – feelings to say the least. Mad people enjoy it. I’m currently working on my sophomore EP titled «Hom3Grown» dropping Spring ’13. On this project, it’s all indie production w/ an organic feel. It’s a personal representation of East Baltimore in the 90’s through now. Experiences that lead me down that path to one day becoming a legendary emcee. The first EP was a « showcase of talent », somewhat. «Hom3Grown» brings people into my mental pad as opposed to having them peeking in the window, you feel me ? One thing that’s happened since I started mapping out this EP, I started writing in a black and white composition notebook like back in the g. Before then, I got used to writing in my phone. I feel like it robs the artist of their creativity though because you’re not really «writing». It’s typing. It’s a lot to it, but what I can say is it’s true magic in scribing rhymes. Can you share with us the story behind your brand new single DOMINIQUE? «Dominique»? Ha, that’s a wild story. «Dominique» is actually my middle name. I hated it as a kid and used to swear my mother down I was going to change my name when I turned 18. (I never did, lol). Anyway, «Dominique» is a 3rd person recollection of me growing up poor in East Baltimore. I was originally born in Southern Cali, so coming from seeing beaches, my folks having bread and 65 degree weather to some shit that looks like a concentration camp, was wicked. Straight nuts. Like, it dead-ass looks live soviet Russia where I used to live. I don’t wanna say too much about it before people hear it, but I definitely paint that picture. Urban Picasso… Where can the fans check this song? Peep my soundcloud at www.soundcloud.com/flaco_cc. «The A IP IE2 EP» is available there too w/ a link to my clan projects (C.C.L.$). What about the music video? Oh most def. By the time people get their hands on the mag, the video will be viral. (search : Dominique – Flaco on Vimeo & YouTube) It was shot by @JSNJHNSN (photo cred in the mag, too), produced by the brodie @ B2eas. I’m amped for this shit to drop ! I’m putting it in the hand of Mr. Dreamz aiming for an international viewing. This will be big! I feel like it’ll surprise viewers too. 1. Because its coming out of Baltimore 2. It’s refreshing in the world of hip-hop. With the exception of an EXTREME FEW, (what’s on air now) this selfproclaimed, radio «hip-hop» is repetitive, saturated and wack. And it is ! First official video from the brogod. Grant me spins ! Follow me @flacoescobar_cc

“I hope you continue to listen and share the m and I pray you all find your dreams and pursue you have. I thank God for the talent and life H me with.” Where do you come from and who were your mentors when you were a kid? I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Being born in a large city as a kid, you see life in a different view and develop a different way of thinking. My mother, being my number one mentor, helped me through the years and helped shape me into becoming a hard working, independent, and confident man. These traits I carry with me in every aspect of life including my music. My grandmother, also being a huge influence in my life, taught me that I am what I make myself. When I began to pursue my art she was the person I went to whenever I needed reassurance that this is what I am supposed to do in life. When it came down to the music business and industry, my Aunt Mee Mee continues to mentor/advise me to make sure I am making the right decisions, taking necessary previsions, and that I am fully educated in every scenario. In life, my stepfather, before he was laid to rest, taught me everything there is to know about being a man and living life the way I should. He gets the most credit for me being the man that I am. I come from a family of strong women and morally sound men, so 60

i thank them all for the love support and education given to me. Who are you as a person? I am the kind of person who loves to just be 100 percent real. I feel at the end of the day I have been honest about my self, what I do, and how I feel, if you still don’t like me as a person, then I’ll deal with it. I sleep well at night because at the end of the day it’s not me who has to deal with it. It would be different if I lied or put on a front for you to like me, then I would have to continue to live out that lie, or perception you have of me. Therefore, keeping it real in all aspects of my life is something I live by. I handle my life and music as one. Being real with fans and people around me is the key to my success. My ultimate goal is to be able to show the world that you can be a talented man and maintain good morals, put that together in music, and be successful. I will show the world that it is possible to be successful being me.

from my house. He heard my music through a few people he knew and contacted me via Facebook. I was a little unsure if working with someone who was building ground up would be better than working with some already established, but after meeting with him and hearing his plan I could not turn it down. My favorite thing about this independent label is I’m free to make any kind of music I choose and so far that has been working well for us.

What are you cooking for all the listeners this 2013 year? I have my second mixtape coming out in early March called KING OF HEARTS #Paris. I will release that on Datpiff, HotNewHipHop, and other mixtape websites. Hard copies will be available through request. After that I will be dropping my second album “American Made.” Also while working on those projects, I will be doing many features and putting together the second #FreshGang mixtape, that will have a How did you hook up with Immerslo Re- plethora of features. music I create, e them with all He has blessed parties, interviews and more. So far what is your best musical experience in your career? My best musical experience was my 1st solo performance ever, for a Def Jam showcase. It being my 1st performance live, I had a lot riding on it. On top of being in front of a crowd from all over the East Coast, it was in front of a major record label. I later found out I was voted for best performance that night, invited to an FM radio interview and to the next show in New York City. It was clarification that I was born to do this. I got my answer real quick. What was the concept behind your album “KING OF HEARTS”? KING OF HEARTS to me represents my intention in music and life. I would say KING OF HEARTS definition would be “ruler of hearts, leading a nation and movement where women are the focus.” KING OF HEARTS is a state of mind that takes you to a level of understanding every encounter

How did the fans welcome that tape? The first mixtape received 8,000 plus downloads, 68,000 views, and a 4 star average rating on Datpiff. The album has a 5 star rating on iTunes many positive reviews and a number of purchases. Is it hard to sell music online for an independent artist? It is not hard to me because I think you just need to be persistent. You can’t drop one mixtape and then let that be your only move. You have to go perform, network, try new things, make music, and more to get your name out there. You can make as much money as you want, but you just

have to hustle for it. You should never let anyone out work you. As an artist you should strive to be the #1 Selling Independent Artist. . Last words for our readers? I just want everyone to keep supporting me and my team through our journey. I love being real and making real music and hope you help spread the word. I want to thank my entire family for pushing for me, my management team on Immerslo Records, my team #FreshGang and all the artists I have worked with outside of my label. I also want to give a shout out to my homies at Metro Beauty Academy for supporting a “young brotha” (insider lol). I hope all the readers follow me on twitter @youngking215 to stay in touch with me as I continue to make my way in the game. I hope you continue to listen and share the music I create, and I pray you all find your dreams and pursue them with all you have. I thank God for the talent and life He has blessed me with.

Can you give us your vision about : Paris nightlife ? Nightlife in Paris is really eclectic. You can find any thematic nights for any public. Are you ready to go clubbing in Paris? You really have to handle it because you wont finish the night before 6am. Tropical local scene ? I think this one is the best. Like its mixed cultural influences, our playlist is really rich with different type of musics. In tropical local scene, I play Dancehall, Soca, Jump up, Hip hop, electro, zouk, and more… There are not 10 000 scenes where I can play as much style of musics as exists in this world. The best Zouk singer from your area & why? Tanya St Val. She is charismatic, I like the way she pushs her style. She’s still on the top following her 20 yrs of career. For you... the generations. For exemple, in France & French West Indies, it’s a question of generations. Zouk is popular to young people and Kompa is really appreciated from the older. But I know in North America, the Kompa music is more popular… I know it because I see some friends of mine, who are zouk singers, invited to perform on Kompa shows. What is your definition of BEAUTY? Beauty is internal which can -for some- be transferred externally. It shows through one’s aura. Its a glow that one has. Its more than looks, it can be seen through one’s confidence (not cockiness) or even through one’s corkiness.

and what they bring to the table. Now Im discovering all types of ways to showcase my talents & its all being put into action.

Tell us how you are unique compared to other models. what do you bring to the modeling industry? Well my background has a lot to do with my talents that I automatically bring forth. I was in performing arts since the 4th grade. I ‘m not only model, but I act, sing, and dance too! Some would call me a natural bc Im able to take a little direction and give that asked of me and much more! This was made for me.

How many tattoos you got ? & which is your favorite one? As of now, I have 5 tatttoos. My “Phoenix” tattoo is my favorite one, hence my name, Phoenix. Its extremely symbolic. To summarize the meaning in the most modern terms, it basically means“You die through your stuggles & you reborn.. reborn through your strength” my strength is LOVE. I believe your strength is also your weakness but only if you let it become that. Im taking the steps to be someone that no one expected me to become. You can see all of my tattoos on my Twitter @MzPhoenix305_ or on my IG @MzPhoenix305.

How is the modeling industry in FL? Modeling in Fl is very common as many ladies dip and dab in the industry in their own ways. Its a great stepping stone to use - if used correctly. There are a lot of ways to build your own brand which should be your main goal as a model regardless what type of model you are. If guided correctly and mind, drive &passion is within, then several opportunities will surely come your way.

Who would you say is the personn that did really inspire you? Kimora Lee Simmons, Jay Z, Oprah, Tyrah Banks, P.Diddy, etc. are all idols of mine who have inspired me to take control of my own life and create for myself. They’ve, in many ways, gave me insight on how to knock down - what I call routine barriers. Im now able to see so many more opportunities for self which all showcase the talents I entail.

Is Modeling your full time job? Modeling is my full time job. Right now Im in the process of taking the steps to pursue my blue print. One cant make modeling a full time job if one is unable to envision themselves developing into more than just your average vixen. It really depends on the person

What is your dream as a model? To become someone that another idolizes in the positive ways that I look up to my own idols. I want people to see my journey through it all and realize self-abilities within themselves.

What body part of yours attracts the most attention? My legs are great! Ive always got compliments on them. They’re thick, soft & long but not too overwhelming :p Follow me on twitter @mzphoenix305_

“I am a real CALL MEthat THEis woman proud of her NEW MARILYN curves...”

70

How long have you been in the modeling industry? 2 years professionally :-) At what point in your life did you know that you wanted to be a model? 3 years ago when i made my first shooting for a calendar. Tell us how you are unique compared to other models. what do you bring to the modeling industry? I am a real woman that is proud of her curves and is not afraid to show them...in a society where young girls are often too skinny with less sensuality... Is there a shining future for the modeling industry in Quebec? No, i dont think so! Especially for me... I really envision a career in U.S.A where there are much more opportunities, more money... The industry is kinda BIG over there.

For you, what characteristics are the most important to succeed in this industry? First, you have to get the right behaviour with self confidence enough to play different roles & love the cameras. You have to be able to adapt yourself to every situations very fast. And the most important is to LOVE this job... not for the money but first for what it brings to models as women.

Gym, Ice Skating, Roller Blade, chilling with friends, restaurants :-)

Who would you say is the personn that did really inspire you? I consider myself like the Marilyn Monroe of the 2000’s :-)

“Jazzie Belle was one of the first people I had the pleasure of meeting when I first entered the industry. She was such a driven, focused, and goal oriented individual...” At what point in your life did you know that you wanted to be a model? I literally grew up on stage. I’ve been performing in theater since I could walk and at some point in college I decided to stop toying with the idea and jump in with both feet, and that’s exactly what I did. Tell us how you are unique compared to other models. what do you bring to the modeling industry? Firstly, there is no other model that has my look. I’m Nigerian and British and 100% imported. All natural, no booty shots no fat transfers (not knocking those that utilize those tools by any means). I’m not just “pretty for a dark skinned girl”, I’m a walking masterpiece. My complexion is unlike many, dark or light, and I love everything about it. I have this golden hue to my complexion which leaves me glowing in any light. In addition, my asiatic doe eyes, full seductive lips, and buxom body are not features often found all one on individual, and naturally. Is Modeling your full time job? No. I have a Bachelors degree in political science and public policy and I am currently working on my nursing degree. How many tattoos you got ? & which is your favorite one? I have 2 and my favorite is the newest one, a quote my best friend and I got tattooed “a million little things” which symbolizes the 12+ years of friendship and an unbreakable bond we share. That little quote holds such an intense meaning which automatically makes it my fa-

-orite. “Friendship isn’t a big thing, its a million little things” For you, what characteristics are the most important to succeed in this industry? Versatility, determination, perseverance, and stay grounded, never let the industry change you, be the change you want to see. Who would you say is the person that did really inspire you? Jazzie Belle was one of the first people I had the pleasure of meeting when I first entered the industry. She was such a driven, focused, and goal oriented individual, you had no choice but to notice. She’s a boss, she gets things accomplished and on her terms, those are things that inspired me about her. I love surrounding myself with people I can learn from who are also positive. Do you plan on going into other things like acting? Singing? I’ve always been into acting, its in my blood. I’d love to further that talent and work on more projects including independent films, stage shows, musicals, tv shows, and of course the big screen. For the fans, are you single? I’m definitely enjoying the dating scene so catch if you can :-) What body part of yours attracts the most attention? My eyes and my ass

about you? Your secret... I enjoy the company of women from time to time. What is your dream as a model? To grace the pages AND the covers of the best and most notable magazines in the country, becoming a “household” (well known) name, becoming a staple on newsstands throughout the world. What body part of yours attracts the most attention? My eyes and my butt. They never disappoint. If you had to sleep with one woman who would it be? Tahiry What is your secret fantasy? Sex in a private Jet. Your favorite ice cream flavor? Vanilla Bean Favorite cocktail? Patron Margaritas Your recipe for the perfect romantic date? One where I’m the center of his attention, where money and location is nothing but a decision away.
