First Time...

I was born March 22 1987 in Raleigh North Carolina where I have also lived all my life. I’ve always been a lover of music, but I became a Fan and believer in hip hop in the fifth grade. My best friend at the time would always be listening to hip hop tracks on his walk-man, and telling me how he was going to be this huge rapper. Before I knew it, I was sucked into wanting to do the same. We would spend days and nights at each other’s house writing and practicing our rhymes with each other….But the first track that became a crush for me was Notorious B.I.G “Hypnotize”.

Big Change...

Last year I lost my grandmother on August 25th 2012. She was always the spiritual leader and backbone of my family. As far as I can look back my grandmother had always been the safety net that I could rely on whether in need of money, prayer or just someone to say “I’m proud of you baby”. After coming to grips with her loss, I have had to focus on excelling in my career and becoming the role model and supporter for my family…and hope to be half as strong as she always was.

2013...

I currently have my new project, a 10 track EP “Hard To Stop A Train” out flooding the streets, as well as a collaborative single “Take Them Panties” with fellow Carolina based artist Ike Ellis. Meanwhile, I am in the studio wrapping up my next official album that will be releasing in stores early 2014.

NEXT...

I got next because I am one of the hardest working dude in this business…..anyone that truly knows my work ethic knows that I do this all the time…..fuck 25/8….I do this 27/10! LOL……..But it’s because I truly love making music and having my fans and followers reach out to let me know just how much they enjoy my music. Ideally I want to be one of the largest mainstream acts to come out of North Carolina, though I understand it takes time and a lot of hard work to get a music career to that level. Honestly I feel that my sound is unique and that all of my recent successes show that the people have something they can believe in.

“If your dreams don’t scare you... you’re not dreaming big enough.”Eric Benet

To me this just confirmed all that I had been feeling trying to make it as a artist in today’s music industry and trying to keep the strength and courage to keep pushing forward though all the rejection and barriers that come with attempting to be succeed in this business.

THE REAL ME....

I have a pretty simple background. I have a song, where I say, “God first, family second,” that’s where I would say I come from—that philosophy. But, I was raised by a single Mom who always held it down. Dad was and is a foreign concept. I have an older brother and a little sister. We did a lot of traveling so I’ve had a lot of different influences. I come from a very musical background. I’ve been around music all my life. As a matter of fact, my grandmother is a music teacher so you can say music was not born with a silver spoon but definitely with a music note. My brother and sister are very musical too. We come from music. On June 1, 1990, I was born in Baltimore, Maryland. I grew up there. We relocated to the DMV area-PG County-- to be exact sometime when I was in elementary school. I think I was in maybe the 5th grade. But I’ve done a lot of traveling especially when I was young. Every year my brother and I went to North Carolina for the summer and every spring, my family traveled to Chicago so I’ve been influenced from a lot of difference places. The D.C. area is another place I frequented that has had a big influence on me. When I was young, my friends and I went to all the DC clubs, hang outs like Gallery Place and different hoods—like, everything we did was in D.C. so you know, I was inspired by a lot of things I saw and experienced in DC. They say love has phases. So I have to say I grew up on hip hop and fell in love with it at a very young age. I mean it was always around me. It was all I heard when I got in the car. It was Tupac, Biggie, Bone Thugs. But I will say it became a true love to me when, growing up in Baltimore, me, my brother and our friend, Tony, used to pretend we were rappers. We had our own rap group and used to stand in front of the t.v. and have fun with it. I loved it. We used to have fake concerts where my brother would rap, and then Tony and I would come up last and think I was killing it. You couldn’t tell me we weren’t rappers. LOL. Then, I first heard The Hot Boyz. It was true love because I could see 18

myself in it. It became an inspiration and from that it became a part of me—what I desired to do. When I heard Lil’ Wayne and saw someone like me, my age, when he was in The Hot Boyz doing it—when I saw how young he was and the impact he and they were making in music, I was in. That’s when hip hop became a true love for me. I used to listen to “Guerilla Warfare” like every day and knew all the verses. It was then that I decided I wanted to pursue hip hop as a career.

INCREDIBLE!

I think the most incredible story is soon to take place—at least that’s what I’m aiming for. But, an experience that comes to mind that has definitely left an imprint for me as far as where I’m headed is when I traveled to Alabama. I had a show where I opened up for Two Chainz. Before the show, me, my team, djs, Sweater Gang…I will just say a group of overachievers had a tour bus for the weekend and that experience, for me, was pretty life changing. I mean as a man, I grew up being taught that a man is assertive and puts in to motion what it is he wants out of life. I saw then what hard work can bring you—you know, I saw us getting it, making things happen from our own efforts. It made me realize, in that moment, that it’s possible to work hard for a goal and realize the payoff--that we, as black men, are capable, you know. I soaked in everything I was learning from all the people that were on the tour bus. As an artist, I realized from the whole experience, from the show, the energy of the crowd that I am my own product. I learned that people believe in what I’m trying to create, you know, and that just opened my mindset to greater heights in terms of my artistry and creativity.

2013...

In 2013, I’m just trying to take it to the next level. I’m pushing for more shows, more features, more music, more Young Sir in different

cities. I’ve been in the studio working with some pretty serious producers in the game. In 2013, I’m grinding for my recognition to now pay off. I’m excited to have my debut EP come out in 2013. I’ve been in the studio finishing up that project. The EP is entitled, “SIRVIVOR.” I’ve been doing this and surviving it so now I’m pushing for the recognition. I hope everyone looks out for this new project. I want to put it on iTunes, give it to the streets. So look out for “SIRVIVOR” in late summer, 2013. Also, I’m still coming heavy with the videos from my last mixtape, Da Recogntion 2. I have a lot of videos dropping from that project.

DREAMS...

My dream is just to see everything just come to light, to have everything brought forth into reality. I want to be the best. I want to interact and give to fans hoping that they can relate and receive something from my craft. I want to eventually take my chosen career path as a hip hop artist and evolve it into other areas such as a broader approach to entertainment. I want to master the entertainment aspect and grow into a business man, and master of parts of my creativity, like fashion. I want to provide business opportunities for others coming into the game. I think my willingness and courage to be who I am, musically; my willingness to step outside of the box. It seems, more and more, that artists are talking about one thing—the same thing. There is no perspective in hip hop right now…or very little. It’s like mass production rappers. I just try to bring different angles, different approaches and a different perspective about what I see to my music. Right now, in a time where everybody wants to be like everybody else and everybody wants to speak of the same things, I choose to rap about what I know. I challenge myself to speak of things that others are not speaking about and take pride in speaking to serious events that a lot of other rappers are not talking about. Interview by Winnie MC

“If I can do it, you can do it too.”(Rocko) I feel that. It’s relatable. It’s letting me know that we all have a gift and our own way to express it but to be my own voice make it known. Why not?”

FIRST KRUSH...

Aaliyah. No explanation needed. Haha. Honestly I can remember when Aaliyah’s second album came out “one in a million” and I fell in love with the number 12 track “Never Giving Up”. I tried so hard for so many weeks to learn every run and riff he and Aaliyah did. That’s when I fell in love with studying RnB and learning the little tricks and smoothness.

BORN PLACE...

2013...

I am currently working on a few projects. Of course my EP which I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into and I want to release it when I feel it is absolutely perfect. And of course I am going to continue to release my favorite covers on my YouTube page.

NEXT ONE...

Well, in this day and age music has progressively gotten more and more “generated” . AcI was born and raised in a small city NewJersey tual singers are hard to find now. I offer a very called Camden current sound with raw vocals. I write most of my own music, so my songs have a story that is genuinely connected to me.

INCREDIBLE...

I would have to say that the most incredible story that has happened to me in my life has to be in 2009 when I was brutally robbed and put into the hospital with a broken jaw and 14 staples in my head. It all happened so quick all I remember is getting off of the train and waking up in the hospital. It really taught me that life is so short and can be taken away in a split second without notice. It made me work harder on my music because I want to of course be remembered for what I love to do. If in case one day I pass, I want to be able to leave my legacy. I want people to know that I truly love music and that it is what I live and breathe every day.

DREAMS...

Well from here I only want to go up. Up for me is continuing to grow my fan base by singing my heart out and releasing music that will make an impact on people’s lives. My dream is to be able to touch many people through my voice and my story. I want to be able to express my thoughts through my music on a huge platform. I am different from the mass because my story is very similar to other people’s but what I have been blessed to be able to so with that story is sets me apart. I am able to create and enjoy what used to be a bad memory into a beautiful story told through a song.

“I follow fantasia’s career and I know, seen, and been through some of the same struggles and it inspires me seeing someone fall but get right back up. Not only get back up but also learn from the obstacle that made them fall in the first place. She’s an inspiration beyond her tweets.”

“A man once said, “When she (meaning me) asks you to jump, you ask, ‘How high?’” At least, I think that was a compliment, LOL.” After so many years in the entertainment industry, what are your motivations and your goals? I’m motivated by the good that I can do and the ways in which I can inspire others. With every project and role, I strive to help people see themselves in others or, on the other hand, open people’s minds to a different way of thinking. Art holds a mirror to the face of society and leads both the performer and observer to greater self-realization and self-actualization. When you were still a teen, which actor/actress really did influence you? I really didn’t look to actors or actresses for influence; it was my teachers and parents who encouraged me to develop my talents and pursue my dreams. I had a piano teacher, Mrs. Saler, who really ignited my artistry and taught me to tell stories through my music. In a way, she was my first acting coach - she taught me to create the circumstances of a story, visualize it and convey it to an audience. I learned to move people through notes, and later this translated to my acting and writing. Later, when I began acting, one actress who really inspired me (and still does) is Jodie Foster. Her range, talent, passion, and steadfastness to truth... I am just in awe. All things I aspire to. You have played in so many movies & TV shows... So far, what have been your top 3 best memories? There have been so many, but here are a few: 1. A massage from Sally Field - While working on the film Beautiful, my arms cramped up badly after several takes of playing a difficult piano solo for one of my scenes. Director (and legendary Academy Award winning actress) Sally Field yelled, “Cut!” and asked me what was wrong. I told her, “My arms have built up lactic acid; maybe a production assistant could help me massage them out?” Sally literally dropped what she was doing and began kneading both of my forearms for several minutes! She showed me that regardless of how successful or famous you are, remaining humble is vital to remain true in your art. She was willing to do whatever it took to make the scene work. 2. The first time I was recognized by a complete stranger - My series, Desire, had been airing for several weeks. I was in the bathroom of Caesar’s Palace with no makeup on, and I noticed a woman staring at me. I smiled back, and she asked, “You’re that detective, aren’t you?” Shocked that she recognized me, I replied, “Yes.” She answered, “You’re very good.” That was the first time I realized the reach of the medium of television, that my work can possibly touch people’s lives. And that’s not to be taken lightly. 3. Shooting Pretty Rosebud - Although Pretty Rosebud isn’t autobiographical, it’s inspired by my experiences and those of women I know. I had written it first as a play back in 1999, and it was a long road getting it made, like a dream come true. I

was finally bringing to life a story I’d wanted to tell for 12 years. It depicts the challenges that women face, as daughters living up to parents’ expectations, as career women facing a boss who blurs their business relationship, and as wives in the face of marital distress. In the end, the protagonist learns to follow her true path and finds herself in the process. Something else that was amazing was that my husband, Oscar Torre, directed Pretty Rosebud, and while this was the first time he’d directed me, it was such a wonderful discovery to find that we worked effortlessly together! He likes to say, “If only she would listen to me at home like she would on set!” He knows me so well, so he knew how to work with my strengths and help me with my weaknesses - I learned how truly important it is to be on the same page as your director. Can you tell us more about your recent 2013 projects? We’ll be doing the film festival circuit soon with our feature film, Pretty Rosebud (our website is www. prettyrosebud.com for updates!) Also, my husband and I are in pre-production for another feature that we wrote with a friend, entitled Lunarticking, a cross between Secret Window and Office Space. You have Chinese, Filipina and Spanish origins... How do those cultures impact on your life professionally? And as a woman? It’s fun to draw from all of those cultures! Each has shaped my outlook in different ways, which in turn affects not only how I approach a role but what I bring to the table. Values of hard work, empathy, joie de vivre... they’ve all been invaluable on my path as an actress, writer and producer. As a woman, each culture has certain expectations and even traditions that can clash with what’s necessitated by present society. I find myself rebelling against some situations, and upholding others. You are very involved in the community with charitable organizations... I have several soft spots: one of them being animals. All of my cats have been rescues, and in the past, I’ve volunteered time and resources to Best Friends, Last Chance For Animals, and local shelters. I also love helping our future generation; when I was America’s Junior Miss, I spoke all over the world on behalf of the Be Your Best Self campaign, a self-esteem program for children and teens. As Miss Illinois, I gave speeches for D.A.R.E. programs. I volunteered in the Dominican Republic through Orphanage Outreach, and for the past several years I’ve been involved with the Nourish the Children initiative, which seeks to wipe out child starvation. I’m also a lector at my local parish. I nterview By Joha Brown 31 31

Where do you come from? I’m from Anguilla in the Eastern Caribbean.

Is Hip Hop popular other there? Especially in recent years a lot of hip hop artists like Nas, JayZ, Q-Tip, Rick Ross and Drake come down here to shoot videos or have vacation. But my intro to hip hop was Tupac’s “All Eyes On Me” so I guess that would be my my first Hip Hop Krush. I also liked “Hard Knock Life” by Jay Z. And Your first R&B Krush? And as a singer and musician myself, I really got into R. Kelly and D’Angelo. Growing up where I grew up on the island, I can’t say I had the same experiences as some of the hip hop portray, but there are some things that are universal. Whether it’s love, or perservering to achieve your goals or being true to yourself – a lot of that comes out in hip hop and same with my music. How did you get into Music? Music is a second career for me. Oh Really? 34 34 34

I was a professional athlete for many years and had a chance to travel the world and see a lot of things. In places like India, Europe, Africa. So I played a sport called cricket and I was part of a world record comeback, during my first season – just going from a relative unknown from a world perspective to being part of a great record, where people all over the world could see me perform at a high level and having my name in the record books it was just awesome. But living it out in the moment was amazing, experiencing the emotions with the fans and my teammates of going into a situation that looked hopeless and coming out on top that was great. That was 2003 in a match between West Indies and Australia in Antigua.

Can you tell us more about your album? My album just dropped and its doing really well. Its called Move On. Ten tracks on there. Seven were recorded in Kingston, Jamaica and three were recorded in Houston, Texas. My co-producer in Houston is a guy Corey Stoot and he’s beent he guitarist for LL Cool J for years, and he did a lot of the guitar and bass tracks for Cash Money Records and Scarface back in the day. So

that’s a hip hop connection. The album is primarily reggae with some R&B influence on a few tracks. A lot of hip hop heads are deep thinkers and are looking for something different so that this is great for them. Where can the fans buy it? I’m working hard now on promoting the album, whether through performances and touring and that going well. The album is available on iTunes and Amazon and pretty much anywhere you can downloand music What is your opinion about Hip Hop & its evolution? Hip hop is continuing to evolve, you now see more collaborations with hip hop artists and artists in other genres, whether that’s reggae, rock, country or anything else. That says to me that the fanbase for hip hop is become more versatile and aware of what’s going on out there. when they hear my music they can connect with the beat, because the rhythm is something you can move to. Then when they listen to the lyrics its something they can connect to – whether its feeding the mind with something conscious to

think about what’s going on in the world, or getting into the nitty gritty about relationships, or just being who you are and not allowing people to dictate who you are – that something people are going to connect with. I’m not going to go as far as 50 Cent and say “I want ‘em to love me like they loved Pac”, but in a way just like somebody from the street to the corporate office could sit down and appreciate 2Pac I think its the same for my music.

Marseille (France)... How could you describe your city in Three words? “Values” because we are far from the “star system” (Paris), our city has a real History. Marseille is very Hearty like a big family made of different communities. “Conviviality” as we spend our lives having fun, simple moments, we have the beach, the sun... No matter where you come from... Africa, Italy, Asia... You will never be alone! “Soccer”... We have the greatest french team (Olympique de Marseille)... The only one who won the Champion’s league! Psy4 de La Rime...Finally...it is a family affair right? Is it the secret of your longevity? We all come from the same hood. We are cousins. Love & Friendship are our strength. 15 years ago, IAM & Psy4 represented Southern hip hop in France... Today, Who are the top 3 best Rookies from Marseille? Keny Arkana, R.E.D.K, Revolution Urbaine Bloc Party 2002... was decisive for your career? It was the result of a lot of work, determination and patience for us. Block Party represented 36

who we really were in France & francophone countries. “Crise De Nerfs” was the first song released from your album “4eme Dimension”. How did the fans welcome it? Were you anxious? We came back with this single after 5 years of absence. We were 100% sure of this single & the album with a real potential. The medias & fans really loved it! We are very proud because we launched the album with a single that really looks like us. Good melodies, good lyrics! And it talks about our city! “Follow Me”... A song & a concept that really fit the time we are living now with humor. Yes, definitly! One night, we all created Instagram accounts for fun.. and from that, we decided to have fun writing lyrics about social networks... with humor... Finally, it became a song... and our second single! Good memories!(laugh) Have you already worked with artists beyond borders? Yes, we released a song with Nate Dogg (R.I.P) “A l’ancienne” (Les Cités d’Or album/2008).

It was one of our greatest collaboration... We recorded in L.A. Moreover, we made a song with Aschley Poole called “King De Ma Life” that you can check on our last album. What are your advices for young emcees & beatmakers? Never forget where you come from.. Be & Stay yourself! Enjoy Music! Music is fun before being an entertainment. Are you real Mr Dreamz? We are young and we love to dream! We have a lot of ambitions & dreams! A Worldwide Tour to meet our fans all over the world like Rihanna ? :-) Why Not?! Interview by Joha B

Yes it was. We did put out a tape commercially, put together real songs (not only freestyles), shows etc.. even though it was more of a « Friends-with-mutual-values-and-dreams » thing. Let’s talk about Djafoul Koncept... How did your african fans welcome it? That was an epic adventure. First steps in Africa as a rapper. It all started with a song, and ended up with a group and an album. It trully was a stepping stone in the realtionship i have with my community today.

Recently i was watching the “Bart Simpson” video... Were you inpired by J.Cole to make this song & video? J. Cole is one of my favourite artists. I wanted the people to have the same reaction I had watching his video, and he brought back a concept already done in the past as well. Hip hop is constantly reinventing itself, that is the funny part of it. However the song itself wasn’t inspired by Cole, except for the fact that at that time we had the same « I-deserve-a-shot » type of feeling that’s in the record.

“Being able to share the mic with one of the best MCs of our generation, and still not sound ridiculous on the record…” Bordeaux... How can you describe your city in three words for our readers? & explain why? « Sunny, friendly an live »… Bordeaux is situated on the french south-west coast so we take advantage of the climate, and the beach nearby. « Live and friendly » because i remember how anxious i was about settling in that place i barely even knew. I got there by myself, and didn’t know anybody. But the people are really easy-going, and i got the chance to meet the right ones who took me to the hot spots, shows, bars and clubs… and it trully was a ‘no-day-off’ thing. By far the best town i’ve lived in… after Abidjan lol ! But you have kept so far a strong link with your native city.. Abidjan! It’s one of the wealthiest countries as far as creativity. Ivorian Hip Hop had its glorious days at the end of the 90’s and it collapsed as soon as the political issues began. For the last 6 years the industry has really come back to life, with people attendig to shows, Ivorian Hip Hop gettin airplay (TV and Radios) and recording studios getting built. The movement is not as strong as Décalé, or Zouglou (popular genre of Ivorian music) but we’re heading

also thanks to the merger of Afro sounds and classic Hip Hop. The people feel more concerned. When i hear “Black Kent”... I think “Clever, Different & Mature...” I think all your fans feel the same. My background. « You are what you’ve been through » . The trips i was ought to do because of the situation in my country, the different people I met, cultures I embraced, the relatives I lost, my fights… all those things made me one hell of an inquisitive/curious person… I’ve never been satisfied with somebody’s answer to a question I asked. I need to double-check, find my own answer… Is it also because of your education? Your studies... Etc? True. I have 2 Master Degrees in International Finances. It trully developped the learning-thirst in me, as long as helping me have another option besides this music thing. It was necessary to me. 99 Pro-G can be considered as the beginning of your professional career?

You are the only one french rapper who can rap very easily in both languages... English & French... Back 2 that HIT feat Cory Gunz.. How did you hook up with him? My producer at that time knew a guy that was close to Cory’s camp, especially Cory’s Godfather : Shaquille O’neal. Lol Yep Big Shaq himself. My records got to Cory through Shaq, and he happened to really like my stuff. We got on the phone, it clicked and Boom, next thing ... he gets to Paris to wrap our record and shoot the video… The rest is History… That was A moment in my career. Being able to share the mic with one of the best MCs of our generation, and still not sound ridiculous on the record… Hell of a pressure though lol What is the concept behind the single 7H à Toulouse? 3 MCs, a dope beat and a mic. Something that we rarely see in french Hip Hop these days. We decided to capture that moment to welcome Billy Bats (newest member of the label me and my brother own, Seven Seas Music) on the boat. So are you a real MR. Dreamz? Im one hell of a dreamer. But Cole said it best : « If they don’t know your dreams, then they can’t shoot them down », so i’m gonna keep them to myself for the moment.. I just hope my family lives long and be as healthy as they should be. 37

GALANTE EL EMPERADOR/ SU

“My best trip was Paris, the Eiffel Tower, something that i have always dreamed...” How could you define Puerto Rican music? That special touch from your country? I define Puerto rican music (reggaeaton) as a mix of jamaican reggae, panamanian reggae, and our flavor of melodies, kick and snares. How did your first experience (travel) in U.S.A impact on your life ? What did it bring to you as a man ? And as an artist ? My experience in the U.S was a one in a life time journey, i traveled to the U.S because i wanted to learn English and go to school. Thanks to that in 2005 i won state/regional in web and informational security and second place National in web development&programing, competing with around 6,219 students from U.S, P.R, Virgin Isl., Canada and East-Europe

“The ‘MK-ULTRA’ graphic novel is an extension of the music and aims to expand on the complex story that I have created.” First, we want to talk about the «MIND CONTROL» video. Where did you find the inspiration to write this song? ‘Mind Control’ was the very first track I’d produced after my six year break from music. I’d already conjured up the idea of MKULTRA (Project 7) being a mind controlled assassin with supernatural abilities created by a government ‘Black Operations’ program, so I wanted ‘Mind Control’ to be an introduction to the character as a whole. The idea for the beats were based around wanting to create a ‘Public Enemy’ kind of sound so I used old 44

school drum patterns and trumpet stabs before layering some complex melodies, synthesizer and base into the track to bring it up to date. Lyrically there are some powerful messages. I’d also combined many metaphysical concepts later on in the track to give it a conscious lift so to speak. I don’t usually like to spell out what I’m saying in my songs as I prefer to allow each person that listens to gain their own understanding of it. But I will say that people should listen to the words closely and if there are things that they don’t understand then make a conscious effort to research certain words or

phrases used. I promise you it will really expand your mind. We filmed ‘Mind Control’ in an old mill that’s an exact replica of the temple at ‘Edfu’ in Egypt which is dedicated the falcon god Horus. We also filmed some of the video at a place called ‘Castle Hill’ where there’s an ancient fort that was built around 555BC. We shot the scenes at the fort on the ‘super moon’ when the moon is at its closest transit to the earth. The locations were chosen by the director ‘Ashley Karrell’ who was unaware of the esoteric concepts, especially the Egyptian ideas that I was interested in bring-

“The ‘MK-ULTRA’ program is actually a very real thing that occurred and is not just a product of my imagination” into the music so it was a rather strange synchronicity that he’d chosen those specific locations. How did you come up with the idea of styling your alter ego MK-ULTRA? I based ‘MK-ULTRA’ around various ideas and styled him in such a way as to create an imposing image that would grab people’s attention. I compiled a series of reference pictures in order to present a visual representation of the character and how I wanted him to appear. I’d referenced such comic book heroes and villains such as ‘the Joker’ and ‘the Crow’ before fusing a

Can you introduce your creative project « MK-ULTRA graphic novel? The ‘MK-ULTRA’ graphic novel is an extension of the music and aims to expand on the complex story that I have created. The graphic novel is actually more of a book than it is graphic as I wanted to combine the two mediums together to create something that had both great literature and amazing artwork to deliver an alternative stimulus to the reader. The novel is based around my character ‘MK-ULTRA’ that is otherwise known as ‘Project 7’. He was created in a covert mind control program lead by Nazi psychoanalysts who were brought to the US by the CIA after WW II. The aim of the program was to create a subject that was completely programmable and would carry out the bidding of the handler against their own will. Project 7 was part of a super soldier program and was created by fusing human and extraterrestrial DNA. Through his

their plans for global control to the world. I work with the very talented illustrator ‘Joshua Chinsky’ on this project. His artistic abilities really assist me in bringing this idea to life. The readers can check Josh’s work out at www. joshuachinsky.com How did your fans welcome & support the idea of the novel? People have been very supportive and interested in this area of my work so far as it touches on so many issues within our current society. The ‘MK-ULTRA’ program is actually a very real thing that occurred and is not just a product of my imagination. I definitely urge people to look into this if they have not already done so. The novel will be part of a trilogy and as it stands there is no certain date to the release as yet. However in the meantime I will be releasing a short comic book series which will fo-

There is a skull theme that runs throughout the image and appears namely in the contacts that I wear, on my t-shirt, and the sliver chain around my neck. This is in reference to the Egyptian god ‘Osiris’ whom was the god of the afterlife and death. He was depicted as a green skinned man which is where the green makeup around MK-ULTRA’s mouth was inspired. My makeup artist Justyna Stawida came up with the final look of the character in terms of the makeup which ultimately brought together all of the influences that I’d had in mind. Justyna is a great artist and we have become very good friends as a result of our work together and she has really assisted in bringing my idea to life.

They also discovered that he possessed supernatural abilities including telekinesis, psychic abilities, pyrokenesis, remote viewing and so on. This was seen as a great advantage to his handlers who were part of a secret ‘Luciferian’ cabal competing against other globalist factions over control of the planet and humanity. Project 7 was used as an assassin to eliminate members of opposing factions and to scare them into submission. He is seen as the most dangerous and valuable commodity on the planet and when he escapes after developing the ability of free will he vows to seek revenge on the cabal that created him by exposing the ‘MK-ULTRA’ program and

Our marketing team does the attachment for all the connec tions with worldwide artists.” Were your works with Shakira & Pitbull decisive for your career? Yes, big time! We particulary did love that hit you released with Kat de Luna ! How did you hook up with her? Can we expect an official video soon for this song (despite it was done last year)? We thank God for the opportunities that keep coming such as this one and we hope to have a video soon.

After so many years in the music industry ... How do you explain your longevity on top? What is your secret? Simplicity when it comes to music, and being humble as usual. How have your music & style evolved so far? It is important to adapt to the generations and to be creative. You are one of the biggest leader of the current merengue scene... with artists like Omega & Fuego. This style is so popular for clubs but we have the impression that this genre is not as well represented as bachata & merengue for example. What is your opinion ? Times have changed, and the most important thing is to remain in the game as one of the biggest interpreters.

Is Los Duenos del Negocio your own company? Yes it is one of our companies, and there are many of us behind the movement. Personally, and being from France, i discover you through your collaboration with Shakira. According to you, what’s your top 3 best collabs so far? 1) Shakira 2) Lucero, Gloria Estefan, Reik 3) Pitbull What are you cooking for this summer 2013? MARCUS

BANKS HUMOR & FUN When did you know you got that talent to entertain people like this? I knew I had the gift of entertaining people while attending college and hosting numerous school events. I would host the fashion shows & talent shows just acting a damn fool.

As a comedian, what are your motivations? & your goals? As a comedian my motivation is my family and the struggle I came from. Growing up in a single parent home with two other siblings was not an easy workload for my mother but she manage to always have food on the table and clothes on our backs. I have a “refuse to lose” mentality I put a lot of blood sweat and tears into my career so I will not see this cookie crumble. My goals are to be one of the best in the business hands down as years will progress.

Projects for 2013 will consist of some A Webisode series featured on Youtube called “Keeping it Too Real” some TV show appearances, and movie appearances.” www.MarcusBanksComedy.com

Can you tell us more about your 2012 TOUR? How did you get that amazing opportuny? In 2011 I contacted many colleges and comedy clubs to see if they would have the pleasure of having me come to their colleges and comedy clubs to show my talents. As we all know its politics in everything you do through the rejection and hardship that I was receiving it only made me work harder. I did the unthinkable by telling colleges and comedy clubs I would do the shows for free just to show them how dedicated and how much I wanted my dreams to come true. In 2012 those same colleges and comedy clubs that denied my access started emailing about inquiries from seeing my previous performance. In May of 2012 that’s when the Marcus Banks tour kicked off then I was invited to be on the “Dean’s List College Tour” where I was the only comedian performing for all of New York Colleges and University’s.

What was your best memory? My best memory would be the first time I met Geter K one of the executives of Maybach Music Group. He came to a show I was hosting with Torch (MMG Triple C’s) in concert. He heckled half of the show until I slandered him with jokes & the crowd was bursting in laughter. I didn’t know who he was or what was his line of work. After the show, I see him and eight other guys standing not too far from my car all I could think was damn my mouth done got me in some trouble again. Instead he greeted me with a handshake saying “I don’t like comedy but you are a funny young brother” then he continued to asking me if I was looking for management and what did my line of work in the comedy game consist of.

Wich actor really influence you? One actor that truly influence me would have to me Richard Pryor. He had so many sides to him he could play any part you threw his way and that’s something I want to master in. I don’t want to be a one dimensional actor. Talking about humor... You are more... Eddie Murphy or Chris Rock or Chris Tucker? Who’s the best ever for you? I am sorry to say I am none of the above I’m more Marcus Banks those are great names to be associated with but I’m making my own lane. I’ve studied those comics work ethic and résumé’s. But being compared or wanting to be remembered or reminded more of someone other then yourself is not my style or character. Now the best that ever did it in my eyes I would have to say hands down Eddie Murphy because after his well documented DVD “Eddie Murphy Is Raw” he took advantage of his stardom by doing movies, commercials, and even singing he explored every lane that was relevant for his time. And currently... more Kate Williams or Kevin Hart? Why? Currently I would have to say I am more like Kevin Hart we both have great business minds and we see the same big picture I get a couple people that say I remind them of Katt Williams because of my high pitch voice and high energy but and not to mention we’re both 5’ 4”. But on the other hand I feel I am more Kevin Hart just being a non stop clown just like Kevin Hart I have no chill button and I am a 24/7 live taping comedy show just like Kevin Hart and now I need to get some Kevin Hart money. What’s your worst nightmare? My worst nightmare would have to be losing everything I ever worked hard for. I put so much into my career not to mention my new powerful management deals with Muscle Management. I started from the bottom and I refuse to be there again. Recurring dream? If I could recur a dream it would have to be my hoop dreams. I was a good basketball player but wanting to be in the street kid so much from the ages 11-16. I was labeled as the trouble kid where coaches wouldn’t even let me in tryouts. My friends’ mothers telling them to stay away from me. It took that one time seeing my mom cry at a court date to just look myself in the mirror and say, “enough is enough”. I graduated high school, did some college and now I’m one of the fastest youngest growing comedians in the game as of now. What are your projects for this summer 2013? Projects for 2013 will consist of A Webisode series featured on Youtube called “Keeping it Too Real”, some TV show appearances, and movie appearances. My brand new website is running www.MarcusBanksComedy.com I will be dropping my FREE promotional DVD “Refund Check” in December 2013 stay tuned Any plans to play in movies, TV or internet shows etc? I have many plans to play in movies TV and even internet shows all I need is some movie producers to pick me up I can deliver the talent. “It’s no days off when you chasing a dream”

olleges and comedy clubs I would them how dedicated and how much . In 2012 those same colleges and ss started emailing about inquiries nce.”

ROCNATION A&R CARLOS FIDOE ANDRADE

Inside The Game... for scouting and recruiting talent for our newspapers and television stations. This experience really helped me develop instincts and how to become a good judge of character, I learned what to look for when recruiting. While running my own label, I had no choice but to work hard and multi-task, I handled everything from finding and signing talent, managing, bookings, branding and promoting artists. I enjoy helping artist find their own lane and getting them to the next level, as well as finding their niche markets. Joining LIVE/ROC as an A&R just made sense, I wanted to bring my skills and experience to the label and provide value to the team….I love this game!

Tell us, what does an A&R Executive actually do? An A&R executive, also known as an artist and repertoire executive, are the people who are responsible for finding and hiring new musical talent. They may also work as a manager to any new artist in the process of recording an album. The working environment of an A&R executive differs from day-to-day. Some of the days might be spent in the office and/or the recording studio, while others may be spent visiting record labels and artists. This means that a lot of time is spent traveling around the country listening to potential new artists sing & perform at concerts, talent shows and nightclubs. Some other duties include; evaluating talent and matching with potential audiences, signing talent to label and/or labels with appropriate approval, coordinate label relationships for an artist once they are signed to the label, provide creative input and direction on artist’s material as well as find suitable producers and recording studios. At the end of the day, the main responsibility is to scout and recruit top talent and build a solid working relationship with artists and labels. How long have you been in this industry? I’ve always had a passion for music at an early age and decided to get involved in 2007. I partnered up with a local artist out of Ft. Lauderdale and co-managed an indie record label named Took Something Entertainment. I went on to eventually founding and managing my own indie record label named FOE Records, Inc. So a little over 6 years and counting. How did you get into it? I mean how did you become an A&R and why? Prior to joining the music industry in 2007, I worked in Corporate America for 6 years with the largest Media Company in North America, Tribune Media Company. I was a Talent Acquisitions and Recruitment Manager responsible

With all the new technologies & social networks, the job of A&R has really evolved during the last years no? Absolutely 100%. There’s never been this many avenues for artists to get their music out to the masses. Form iTunes and Youtube, to Facebook, Twitter and Soundcloud, the promo is endless!! The best part being, 95% of these sites are absolutely free. The only thing these artists and musicians need is a computer and some wi-fi and they’re good….oh and of course…”talent”. To be honest, I know some independent artists that make more money and have more fame than some major artists, just by networking and using the world wide web. Hands down, it has to be one of the best hustles out there, the internet grind! What is the difference between ROCNATION & LIVENATION? Both companies are monsters in their own right. LVN is a live entertainment company that produces live music concerts worldwide. It operates in five segments: Concerts, Ticketing, Artist Nation, eCommerce and Sponsorship. They “sign” artists as a “record label”, but predominantly takes the role of a promoter, rather than “owner of music”. In 2008, they signed Jay Z to a $150 Million deal to create ROC Nation. One of the biggest deals and mergers in company history to date. Rumor has it that The ROC may be inking a new deal with Universal this year, but that’s a whole different story that I can’t speak on, you feel me. What advices can you give to young people who dream to sign with your label? Treat every day like it’s your first day and stay true to yourself!! Be original with your craft and create your own music, whether you’re a producer, rapper, singer or songwriter. You have to keep grinding every single day and stay focused and motivated. Lastly and probably the most important, you must keep an open mind, you can’t walk around like you know it all, if that was the case, you would’ve been signed along time ago. Be open to new ideas and constructive criticism, it’s never too late to learn something new!!

Why are you so different from the mass? I’m different because I got my head on straight, i know my goals and i know what i got to do, and what i got to stop doing to become the successful man i’m planning out to be. Not everyone can balance all these at once. But i made a commitment to do what it takes until i get there, the one that motivates me everyday isn’t on this earth anymore but he’s above making sure i keep my head up and my mind on the right route. It’s my dad! He helps & pushes me day-by-day to get closer and closer to achieve my dreams. Krazy Story time In the summer of 2010 when I was just beginning to put myself out there as a musician, Me and my partner were asked to perform for a girls birthdaybash across the city neither of us drove at that time and my parents were on vacation, I stayed behind because this was going to be our first performance. So we had to take the public transit across the city. The time was getting close to performance time and we were still not at the

centre. We got off the train and started booking it up the stairs ran around all these people and we saw the bus we needed to get on. The driver was just getting on the bus so we knew he was about to leave so my partner takes the ramp all the way down I took a totally different way. I decided that I should jump off this ledge ill beat my partner to the bus and make sure the bus doesn’t leave. So without any second guessing I jumped… Did I really know how far up I was, I had to be like 1820feet in the air. I didn’t just hang off the railing and drop.. I parkoured this thing I FLEW for a good 4 seconds, then landed on my ankle wrong. I was in so much pain, I looked up saw the bus, got up and proceeded to get on the bus. I couldn’t take off my shoe, my ankle was in so much pain. Nobody else saw what happen since the suns down and my partner went another way. So I told the driver to wait a second till my partner got here. He did just that; I was in so much pain I didn’t know how I was suppose to perform… or move that matter. So we got off the bus, I hoped all the way there, I thought this was just a bad sprain so we went to this event, got all our shit ready on stage. I looked at my partner and said “Lets go to work this is just the beginning” so we ended up waiting 15 minutes cause our set got pushed back but 5 minutes before we were suppose to go up and perform our new songs, the cops rolled up and busted the function since they were serving alcohol without a licenses. So we went thru Calgary transit, jumped off a cliff, and hurt my ankle just to have us not perform. I was thinking to myself, damn, this can’t be real. So we ended up not performing and having to get back on the bus to head back home. When we got to the crib I call my old manager and tell him the story. He couldn’t do much except get us another show. So he told me the next show is in a month. It was an S.O.S for pakistan. So I thought this is great, my first performance will be a charity, nothing wrong with that. So a few days go by of resting my foot, I’m here trying to walk on it because its just badly sprained. I fly out to British Columbia to spend time with my family who was on vacation. So I meet up with my parents and then we ended up going shopping right after I got off the plane. Few hours later my mom just didn’t like the way I was walking. She thought it was more than a sprain so she wanted me to get it check out and x-rayed. So we go for x-rays… It was 2 weeks after the injury and the doctor said “you’ve broken your ankle” I’m thinking in my head, i’ve been walking on a broken ankle for 2 weeks and he told me it’s krazy how high my pain tolerance is. a week later i was back in

alberta, in my city of calgary and I had a show in 3 days so I had to purchase a walking cast, I had to wear a walking cast for my first performance. This is may not be an incredible story to you but this really brought me closer to the music and it helped me find my inner artist. We ended up killing the stage at the S.O.S and from that we got in contact with new manager. While I was injured I actually ended up writing 4 different songs and that’s what had me put out my first mixtape called “The road to success”. So if I didn’t jump, I wouldn’t have broke my ankle, called my manager to get another show, and I wouldn’t have put out my mixture that quick which wouldn’t have got me seen by a group/label called OhNo Ent! So it was a gifted curse that I got injured. Till this day I still have to wear an ankle brace while playing football, or running for long periods of time.

Why did U call your mixture “picture this” ? Picture this you say? picture what, picture me on a magazine, picture me playing cfl. picture me in a movie… I have so many different routes I can, and want to do. If you think about it it’s all about entertainment.I love to make people smile it brighten’s my day. If you can’t picture it why should anyone else picture it. You have to believe in yourself before anyone else will. So you have to picture it because you can frame it. Doesn’t matter the size of the picture. If you get joy when working on someone’s backyard then take a picture and frame it. motivate yourself nobody can push you harder than you can push yourself. inspriational tweet ? WILL SMITH once said. “Fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts you create. Do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real. But Fear is a choice.” You can’t be afraid of doing anything you want it’s all in your head, if you go to a rollercoster and the person infront of you says this is the scariest ride she’s been on, your going to start getting scared, and your mind will make you not want to do the ride. but if she said “my 5 year old did this! no problem!” that would make your mind think totally different. Danger is real but fear is in your head. anyone can over come fear. Interview By Winnie MC

“Out of all my years in the industry and the people that I have met, I would most definitely have to say P.U.S.H. from P.U.S.H Promotions. He is the only one that actually shows belief in my brand. His drive for success and helping others has motivated me to do the same. ” What is your definition of BEAUTY? I feel that loving who you are and being true to yourself defines beauty. There are man facets to beauty and what makes a person beautiful such as there looks how they present themselves or how articulate they can be while maintaining a humble attitude. How long have you been in the modeling industry? I’ve been modeling for a little over 3 years. Just getting started :) At what point in your life did you know that you wanted to be a model? I’ve always wanted to be in the industry. My dad use to model and act so I thought Id give it a try at the age of 21 when I was at my lowest. He told me to find something that’ll give a confidence boost which he suggested attending an agency, so I gave in. Tell us how you are unique compared to other models. what do you bring to the modeling industry? I’m unique because not only am I very petite and short but I have that business mentality. I know my ways around this so called “game” while maintaining a high level of respect with a vast majority of people in this industry. Unlike most models, I’m a very humble person and have a gift to recognize what is right and wrong especially when it comes to people. How is the modeling industry in your area? Do you feel that there are a lot of opportunities for young upcoming models? The industry in my area is tough if you are petite. I have to travel outside AZ in order to get a good gig. For young models it depends.

Is Modeling your full time job? Modeling is only part time. If I was in LA or any other state I would make it full time because I know I would get paid for the majority of the opportunities, but definitely not in AZ. How many tattoos you got ? & which is your favorite one? I have 9 tattoos. My Italian lettering on my left shoulder (Vivere, Amare, Ridere) would be my favorite because it reminds me to always live, love, and laugh.. For you, what characteristics are the most important to succeed in this industry? To succeed I feel that being photogenic, having good posture, business savvy, good attitude, receptive to the photographic process, and respectful. Who would you say is the person that really did inspire you? Out of all my years in the industry and the people that I have met, I would most definitely have to say P.U.S.H. from P.U.S.H Promotions. He is the only one that actually shows belief in my brand. His drive for success and helping others has motivated me to do the same. When I do or say stupid things that irritate him he still represents and pushes hard. All I have is nothing but respect for him. Do you plan on going into other things like acting? Singing? What are your other talents? I’ve acted a little bit but would love to get into it as much as I do with modeling. I’m currently

taking singing lessons and have danced since the age of 5. What do you do in your spare time when you are not modeling? I work all the time. I am a counselor for a high school, I am working on opening my own business as well as non profit organization, and take care of my son. For the fans, are you single? ( dont break hearts! :-) I am not..... In a relationship :-) I am too busy to be with anyone. What body part of yours attracts the most attention? Men tend to say my eyes, smile, and ass. If you had to sleep with one woman who would it be? Nicole Scherzinger or Zoe Zaldana Do you own any adult videos? lol who doesn’t. Your recipe for the perfect romantic date? He would need to be very charming and respectful. I’m not one for flowers or jewelry, but open the door for me (not the car door that’s lame to me) but just be real and cool as hell. Let me not only connect physically but mentally be on the same level as me. Know how to converse and laugh. That is the main eye catcher for me. If you can have a decent conversation without speaking about sex then its on and crackin!

INSPIRATION TWEET / LL Cool J @llcoolj / You get exactly what you are FEELING. Happy feelings will attract more happy circumstances.” I love this quote because it is a reminder both to never stop dreaming & know you’re getting back what you put out there. See you at the top!

Your first hip hop krush? I was born in Moscow, Russia. My family is Jewish & we came here as refugees when I was 6 After a few months in L.A. we ended up in Houston. I grew up listening to Snoop & Pac, also UGK, Big Moe, all those southern dudes. But the song that I really remember made me fall in love with hip-hop was 2 Live Crew “Hoochie Mama.” Lol! I remember dancing with my girls to that song & “Da Dip” & “My Baby Daddy” at house parties in middle school, pretending we were on that MTV show The Grind. Good times...I moved back to Cali when I graduated high school & immediately fell in love with Bay Area rap, but even more so the movement behind it...hyphy, turfing, all that. I think the music I make now is a fusion of all those things the lyrics may be shocking but I’m just tryna dance & have a good time.

Krazy story When I was a kid back in Russia we were camping in the wilderness for a few weeks (typical Russian sh**) & were robbed at gunpoint by these 2 guys. One of them held the gun, but the other one reached into the sky and caught something. He bent down to my level and opened his hands enough to show me a huge, glowing green beetle. It was beautiful & scary. Hip-hop is like that...pleasure & pain all rolled into one. I make music about partying, $$$, chasing my dreams. Sometimes it hurts, but like Yeezy said, it’s my beautiful dark twisted fantasy. Your projects for 2013 I like to think of myself as an all-around Entertainer. I’ve studied all different types of dance, from break-dancing to ballet. I love battling with the body as much as with the

mind. I went to circus school. I can eat, breathe, & juggle fire. I’m one of the best pole dancers you’ll every see. I try to bring that versatility of skills to my performances. Like my single “Hit The Pole” - Yes, I could rap or I could pole-dance, but I’m gonna do them simultaneously...& upside down. Give me a beat & I’ll kill it. Give me a stage & I’ll own it. Your projects for 2013 Look for my mixtape “Pretty Green Paper” out now & upcoming album “Bad Girl World.” Holla at me at MissLadyShadow. com Follow me on twitter @ @MissLadyShadow

They Are Putting Wichita (Kansas) On The Map Baby! Your first hip hop krush? (Roger) I couldnt even tell you what song it was, cuz i’ve listened to music all my life. But I will have to say that Outkast really started it out for me in the hip hop scene. Their old shit is pretty much untouchable in my book. (Sam) My dad was a Dj, so I was exposed to All sorts of sounds on vinyl. I remember listening to this track by Mod Def called Umi says. That sparked my interest I discovered groups like Dilated People, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul. Hip hop had my soul since day one. It was the breaking, the painting, the rhyming, and turntables that captivated my young mind. (Nate) My brother and I were military brats born in Germany but Texas and Kansas are my homes. It wasn’t until we moved to Kansas that I found hip hop. I fell in love with hip hop a couple times but it’s a toss-up between the infamous Outkast and Afro man. I know what you’re thinking, “Afro man, wtf?” But many people never got passed “because I got high” and “crazy rap” so they thought that was the grade. Look up “Palmdale,” “Hush,” “Girls,” “She won’t let me,” and “ Back to school” and hopefully you will realize what I mean. It wasn’t until I paid more attention to these artists that I started paying attention to little details like delivery, emphasis, the message, and all while having fun doing it. When I saws things from this perspective, it became more about the art than entertainment. 70

Your projects... (Nate) We are about to release our “Above the bullshit, Under the influence” CD/DVD combo in July. I’m also finishing up my solo album, untitled for now.

make you wanna move and feel good. And we write all of our shit, which is more than can be said for some people in the game. (Raymond) who knows if I got next but I am confident with our movement and the All Natty family that we will be there before we know it. I know we will because we HAVE to. This and skating is all i’ve ever been good at. Fame is my destiny. Im different cause that’s who I am, screw being normal! Like I say if you’re All Natty “do what you do be who you wanna be, the movements all about bein free”. (Chris Big V) Coming from the midwest, there has only been a few to make it big. On the coasts it seems like people blow up everyday..its our time. My dream is to maybe one day make music with the likes of my favorite artists. We’re not too much different, we all bleed the same blood but I have a story you dont hear on the radio or tv everyday.my message will be heard

Krazy Story... (Raymond) The day I met my daughter for the first time. I walked into my daughters mothers house and the first thing she said was “da da da da da da”. It brought joy to my whole day. I have never felt that kind of happiness. As an artist it taught me dedication. (Chris Big V) I went to a Bone Thugs concert with my brother and I had a blunt standing in the first row..Lazy bone saw me hittin it and jumped down off stage and asked if he could hit it. Of course I let him and he jumped back on stage, let Wish Bone hit it then jumped back off stage and handed it back and made a L shape with his hand and so did I and we touched L’s. Had to be the coolest thing ever. I want to change someones life by doing something so Tweet Inspiration/ (Sam) My favorite quote came from a fortune small but to them it means so much. cookie. See it in your mind, find it in your life, Why are you the next Hip Hop fan’s KRUSH? pretty much. (Nate) “Thou hath to check thyself (Roger) Because we make real music. We aint before thou wrecks thyself.” Shakespeare Remix runnin around talkin about cars and clothes and @ShakesREMIX money and all that bullshit that just sounds cool. We talk about real shit and stuff people can relate Follow All Natty on twitter @AllNatural316 to as well as doin some fun ass songs that just http://www.reverbnation.com/allnatural316

“Whatever it takes. 14 assist. 10 reb or 40 points. Gotta get it done by any means necessary #countonnoexcuses” @kobebryant/ Yeah it’s about sports, but the message is still the same. Here is how I read it “Whatever it takes. 14 hours a day, 10 features or 40 beats. Gotta get it done by any means necessary #countonnoexcuses” Your first hip hop krush? Man, my first Hip-Hop krush would probably be 2pac. I especially like the song My Block. That’s the first time I felt in love with Hip-Hip. I’ve alway been real into guitar, up until I turned 16 I only listened to Rock, so when I heard that guitar lick in My Block, even though it was so simple, I was hooked. I was born and raised in Long Beach, California and my family never had too much extra money to throw around, but when I was 10 I got a guitar for Christmas and taught myself how to play. I can’t say too much about the streets of Long Beach except that it’s my home. My friends and I have been roaming those streets since kindergarden trying to find the greatest adventures to get into. From Mobb Deep I had my old school phase, mostly Mobb Deep, Snoop Dogg, and Nas, then I progressed to the more modern sounds of Hip Hop like Kendrick Lamar and ASAP Rocky. What really gets me in the ZONE, is a song with that dark airy feel to it and a banging bass, like Brand New Guys. I’m a pretty hyper person in a comfortable environment, so most the music I listen to is really loud and bass heavy, I like trap. As a producer and rapper, I just let my influences mix with my own imagination, and flow out into my own creation. Right now I’m real into Pro Era.

Krazy story> Probably dropping out of college. That’s when I realized that shit was real. All my friends were leaving for college and I was stuck at home going to Long Beach City College. There was no motivation. I didn’t know anyone, and I didn’t even want to be a history teacher anymore. No parties, no one to hangout or get in trouble with. I can only skate by myself so much before I’m tired of not having anyone there to see me get better. I had to do something with all my free time so I decided to give music a shot. I already loved music as much as anyone could, and my parents got me an Apple computer as a graduation gift so I figured I’d try. With no prior experience in music production, or rapping, I jumped right into it and felt that I had a natural gift. I loved it so much it’s all I thought about. During class I would write raps and could care less about a lecture. Eventually I realized, that I probably had terrible grades, so I just stopped going. Nine months later, I released my first homemade album “Rap Phase”. It’s a scary feeling dropping out of college, cause to society, you are not moving forward in life. You look like a bum. That fear keeps me going, keeps me working hard everyday. A real man follows his dreams at all cost, he lets go of the bullshit and gets what he is after. I will be great one day, it’s just a matter of time.

Your projects for 2013? Mr. Franklin, part of my FATGODS rap group, comes out with his new mixtape June 23. I’m releasing a mixtape of my own July 28. FATGODS as a whole releases a mixtape sometime in August. So we’re gonna hit you with 3 mixtapes of great music one month after the other starting this summer! Why are you the next Hip Hop fan’s KRUSH? . I’m not one to pull race, but it’s true that a solid group of white rappers has yet to be seen in the world of hip-hop and rap. We aim to be that group, and we also aim to break down some barriers that have been in place for many years. For instance, I don’t aim to be the best “white” rapper, I aim to be the best rapper, and I truly believe it’s possible. Plus we have an appeal where people don’t just like our art, they want to follow our lifestyle and keep updated with what we do. I’ve been rapping/producing for about a year now and already find myself competing with the best, and I’m only going to get better. I don’t know anyone who can say they work as hard as we do everyday to attain their dreams. Every verse takes me some place new, and you can see, through our music, how passionate every member of FATGODS is. Follow us @fuckinperuvian www.youtube.com/xFATGODSx

“Love is a road without signs yet, we still drive because we can only imagine what’s ahead.” Your first hip hop krush? I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. I was brought up being completely surronded by hiphop. It was the only music that myself or anyone I knew listened too. I remember being young and listening to Eminem and that was great but the first time I truely fell in love with hip-hop was with the release of Lil Waynes Tha Carter in 2004. The first song I heard off of it was Go DJ and truely I still find inspiration in that song today.

Krazy story... The most incredible thing that happened to me was that within 2 months of my first mixtape dropping. I went from being unnoticed to getting recognized when I walk on the street. I had only showed the tape to a few people and asked them to help me get the word out, which they did amazingly. It really made me realize how much love I have for my friends, my family, and anyone who has been listening to my music. Your projects for 2013? For 2013 I had 4 projects scedueled. The first 3, which were mixtapes, have already been com72

pleted. The first was called “Dreams” and can be downloaded here; http://www.mediafire. com/download/b23w4bd5votrdsd/Dreams.zip. The second was called “Rez Run” and can be downloaded here; http://www.mediafire.com/ download/96bxkh7f1jfh4n1/Rez_Run.zip. The third was called “My Moment” and can be downloaded here; http://www.mediafire.com/ download/b62ec9ppb9e6be6/My_Moment.zip. I am also working on my first studio album, which will most likely drop this fall/winter season. Make sure to follow me on twitter, @LilGThaKid, for all the updates on my music.

Why are you the next Hip Hop fan’s KRUSH? My dreams are a little bit different from most of the people in the game. I’m not in it for the money or the fame, I’m in it cause this is what I love doing. This is something I feel truely happy doing. That’s what sets me apart from the rest of the poeple trying to make it and I believe you can hear that in my music.
