Averroës
Averroës was born in 1126 in Córdoba, Spain. Growing up, he studied science, religion, medicine, and philosophy. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, he became CHIEF JUDGE of Seville in 1169. Two years later, Averroës returned to Córdoba to study the forgotten work of Aristotle, who was largely ignored by many thinkers at the time.
