Chapter 1: All About The Westward Expansion Go west or bust was a folk saying.

Louisiana Purchase In 1803 the Louisiana Purchase was bought by thomas jefferson.Thomas Jefferson bought the Louisiana Purchase for fifteen million dollars.The Louisiana Purchase was an unknown land along the mississippi river to the rocky mountains.The Louisiana territory was 828,800 square miles and 2,147,000 square kilometers.After thomas jefferson bought the territory it expand our country overnight.Lewis and Clark are american men.

Lewis and Clark After the Louisiana Purchase was made, Thomas jefferson sent Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the unknown.They began in 1804 in st louis. Their was Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Also there were 40 men. Lewis and Clark carried journals.They sketched animals,plants,and maps.They travel by boat on the missouri river.The corps of discovery made it thore the rocky mountains. The most dangerous on the expedition was the rocky mountains.There was one women on the expedition.Her name is Sacagawea she was an interpreter.They made it home in 1806 in saint louis.

Westward Expansion “We turned our faces toward the land of golden promise that laid beyond the rocky mountains.” In 1840 people began moving west.In 1841 over 500,000 people had traveld west.Their are many trails like the Oregon,Californa,Momaon,Santa Fa.They traveled by wagons. We finally had free land to do framing,ranches,religions.At the end we had 44 states.Moving west ended in 1890s.the oregon trail was a great trail .

Chapter 2: Oregon Trail

It was a human march day in 1848. A family was moving west. They were leaving their home to move west. The family had to sell everything except their clothes,a wagon a few oxen and a pan. The pioneers were saying goodbye to family and friends.As they rode along. They thought about what it would be like in the west.

Oregon Trail Oregon,Oregon,Oregon here we come.The oregon trail was started in march 1848.From 1830 to 1860.About 3,000 people moved west.The oregon trail was over 2,000 miles long.The oregon trail started in independence missouri and ended in oregon city.They started in the spring to keep the oxen fed and the then safe from the dangerous weather.Chores were hard for kids.

There were so many chores.There was milking cows, helping ma with dinner,feeding cows, feeding oxen,clean wagon,make bed, gathering wood to. The chores we do to aren't as hard there were. There were so many dangers on oregon trail.

There were so many dangers on the oregon trail.There was the disease Cholera and bad weather and the animals.The pinners always made wagon circles to keep the animals out.The rivers were dangerous to.​ ​ The pinners had to find food by hunting. They also got 1,000 pound of food to eat. They hunted at night to keep in disguise .All the kids would help out with picking berries. All the people would get their food.People are always helping out with food.

Chapter 3: Impact

The impact of the oregon trail was that was to grow are county. Another impact was that they were excited to move but also sacred for their new land and survival. They were ​ determined​ to move west. You have to have courage to to try new things.That is a new thing to have bravery is good to.All you need to do is believe in yourself. So courage and bravery are are good ways to help move west. To have courage is like you need your strength to move west.
