Life on Shine
By:Daryn Fling A sequel to The Green Book
Chapter One A History of Shine Colonists from the dying earth came to find a new planet to live on. Some of the most famous people on Shine were Pattie and Father. They were the people in my opinion who contributed the most on the colonization on Shine. Peter was also a very important person. He was the person who was trying to figure out if there was any life on Shine. And you'll find out if there was any later in the book.
When they landed on the planet they had to test the water to see if they could drink it. So the Malcom, the drugstore clerk from earth who tested the water, said that the water was ok to drink. When they found out how to do more things on Shine, I felt so happy that they developed new things because I know it was very hard to make the transition of being on another planet.
The planet Shine
Chapter Two Traveling to Shine On the trip to Shine, people were often very bored. They didn't have anything to play with. Imagine four years of boringness and doing nothing. You should bring a game or a very long book. The adults had the responsibilities of worrying whether or not they could breath the air on the new planet Shine. They were also very stressed at the fact that they might not have enough gas to make the whole trip. That's a lot of stress. Also young children, when they got on the planet, couldn't remember what earth looked like so remember to bring a picture of earth with you as well.
Chapter Three What to bring On the first commute to Shine, people weren't smart and brought the same books and you could only chose on book to read. So you might want talk to your neighbor and arrange what books you bring. It is also important that you bring books that educate you and teach you about how to create tools and houses. You also might want to bring a notebook so you can record all if your experiences in there.

Chapter Five
Weather on Shine
Wildlife on Shine
The weather on Shine is very dreary and dull. It rains every night so you might want to bring an umbrella. In the daytime, every thing is bright and sunny. The trees are gray and the sky is red. There is really not that much to say about weather on Shine.
Wildlife on Shine isn't that much different than weather on Shine. There isn't that much to say. The first people on Shine thought that they were all alone and that there was no one but them. But they thought wrong. First of all, they actually saw some jellyfish but other than that, they thought the were alone. They discovered this place with a bunch of what they thought of boulders. But those boulders turned out to be eggs. Very big eggs. And when they hatched, out came little moth people. People were afraid of them and brought out there guns. But Pattie told them to stop and she gave the moth people something like maple syrup from Shine.
Chapter Six Survival on Shine
Survival on Shine was the hardest. When the settlers tried to plant their seeds from earth, the plants came out messed up and they didn't have anything to eat besides the iron rations and the candy trees that the children found. But in the end, they tried the wheat from the planet Shine knowing that they might die from tasting it, but it was all good and they could make bread and pancakes when they tried new things. So I recommend you trying new things.
