NAVIGATING THROUGH LAND-SCAPE

The thesis project derives from an interest in endemic nature of architectural language and built-environment that weaves together a texture inseparable from the land. It includes a thorough process of site analysis, program formulation and architectural form finding - by approaching site specific stories of natural and literary history that is encoded in landscape of deceptively simple beauty of the island Runmarö in Stockholm archipelago. The rich flora & fauna of the island has been an inspiration for a generation of littérateur, orchid hunters, nature explorers and hover-fly collectors. This literary inspiration of the island is used as motivation to unfold the dialogue between the land-form and architectural outcome.

KYUDO PAVILION IN LIME
The project is a narrative of reading and mapping of a territory in the countryside landscape of Denmark. The approach is carefully balanced between practical & fantastic. The program is articulated with the readings from Francesco Careri’s ‘walkscape’. The site consists of three geographical elements; such as a gravel pit, woods and an ancient burial mound in the outskirts of Lime. Depending on these three elements, there are three operations inserted within the territory. This journey along the path in this landscape is a combination of spaces; each representing a peculiar geographical situation of the site: space of perceiving - sculpture space for pause - kyudo pavilion space of moving - sacred ritual chamber

Each work of architecture must reflect the admirable workings of the earth that are specific to the place it stands. The landscape of the earth that we find beautiful are the landscapes of the endless cycle: autumn leaves, snowscapes, trees silvered with frost, the ebb & flow of flow of tides - magnificent natural phenomena constitute landscapes that are wrought by earth’s energy. - HIROSHI SAMBUICHI

Lendager arkitekter’s approach is strongly revolved around development of social, economical and environmental potentials within sustainable developments in architecture. This is archived through a holistic approach to the sustainability & circular economy. During my time I had a chance to work on a wide range of projects; starting form a recycling station to some of the urban housing projects. Presented here is a competition project, proposing a sustainable and economical solution for sorting out domestic waste and utilising the waste as building material. 26

W A S T E L A N D EXHIBITION PELICAN SELF STORAGE
Pelican shelf storage is seen as a new standards for waste handling and reusing the crushed concrete on site to create new concrete. For faรงade studies, I was given responsibility of trying out concrete panels with tree relief on it - this was tried & tested with different concrete mix ratio & using 3D prints of the faรงade as moulds for concrete castings. As conclusion of the process - a final presentation model was casted in concrete at 1:50 scale. This process was exhibited as one of the material stream at the WASTELAND exhibition. 30

KONKU RRE NCE FORSL AG NY DAGINSTITUTION I HAVDRUP
How do you draw a house for children who are full of their own skills, knowledge and curiosity? The narrative for the project is based on the reality of amazement that children grow with. The attempt is to create an architecture that is produced by Reggio Emilia’s pedagogy’s perception of the child and which itself creates a lifestyle. The project has been a great learning process in collaboration with a team of totalentreprenør, engineer, and landscape architects. I worked with conceptual phase of the plan organization, facades and sections for the project.

KONKU RRE NCE FORSL AG (2 . P L A DS) NY BØRNEHUSET I SMØRUM
Inspired by the forest, the children’s home in Smørum embraces both safe and recognisable everyday routines with the mysterious and experimental spatial spaces. They needed to create an optimum balance for kids between diverse learning and security, care and proximity of adults. The building is “cut” in smaller units, as in their scale fits into the typology of the residential neighborhood. The spaces invites the countryside and its nature in. They allow room for the context’s open and hilly character to shape the building programme. 42

KHAMIR CRAFT R E S O U R C E CENTER IN BHUJ
During my time at Neelkanth Chhaya architects, I worked on the project in India. The project is located in the dry arid landscape of region Kutch. I worked on design development, co-ordination with Structural, mechanical and Electrical consultants, working drawings and detailing of the new facilities. Working with low budget yet sophisticated and technological quality, I was required to study and research all aspects thoroughly to support the development of design. In addition, understanding of unconventional materials like rammed earth, compressed and stabilised earth blocks, wattle and daub walling and recycled wood - all needed careful development of form and detail. 46
The process allowed scope of my stay on-site and study artisanal practices to evolve appropriate constructional sequences and supervise the execution of the each building.
