Being in the Training and Education field, I hold a Bachelor of Education (Hons) with University of Pretoria. My major area of study was Quality Assurance and Accreditation. I also hold a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering. I further completed a Management Training program with the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland. I then complete a Next Generation Network Professional Certificate program with Rhodes University which focused on the following: . The program was conducted in conjunction with Telkom Centre for Learning. I have also completed a Certificate Diploma on Telecoms Technologies. I have been with Telkom SA as a Access Network, Switching and Transmission Technician between the years of 1994 until 1999. This gave me a firm foundation and understanding of the ICT Technologies. Between 1999 and 2006 I was a Lecture at Telkom Centre for Learning. This position further broadened my horizons. I started firstly in Training Delivery and then got involved in a number of Instructional Design projects. At this stage I was also exposed to Performance Consulting. This position gave me an opportunity to understand the impact of Training on Company Strategy. It became clear to me that Human Capital Training solutions should not be done as a legislative compliance but if planned and delivered properly HC solutions can have a profound impact on the revenues of many organisations. Operators who have a effective strategy on HC will be superior players in their industry. Those three questions were critical in my daily activities my team of highly experienced Learning & Development Specialists. I had to play a balancing act delivery of training and ensuring that training has a profound impact on the business of business. My current position as Key Account Manager for External training largely demands expertise in performance consulting. The previous positions I held helped me to be firmly grounded on my current positions as I have more appreciation of the dynamics in the ICT industry. I am still a student in this ever changing industry. I am currently attending a Performance Improvement Certificate Program with Leaders of Learners to consistently improve on the tools to support business. I am now responsible for a number of accounts with external clients whom I engage on a consistent basis with the tools I learned in my career as a Training professional within the ICT Industry.
