As a family-owned company with three centuries of maritime heritage, MSC Cruises is dedicated to preserving our oceans and planet for future generations. We are adopting lower-emission fuels, encouraging responsible travel, reducing plastics, and recycling waste across our fleet. Additionally, we produce most of our freshwater onboard by converting seawater.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY: SUSTAINABILITY

From using low-emission marine fuels on our latest ships to incorporating state-of-the-art water treatment facilities, we're implementing the latest marine technologies onboard. Our goal is to protect the seas we call home and make a positive, lasting impact on the future of cruising. We are particularly focused on reducing air emissions, with systems in place to meet or exceed regulatory standards. We are also committed to lowering our carbon footprint through extensive energy efficiency measures across our fleet. Additionally, minimising and recycling waste generated onboard is a top priority, and we are actively working to eliminate all non-essential single-use plastics from our ships.

Over 85% of freshwater produced on board our fleet is from desalinated seawater – up to 3 million litres per ship every day!

Advanced wastewater treatment systems ensure that all wastewater is properly managed before being returned to the sea. Each ship in our fleet has a dedicated, full-time Environmental Officer who oversees environmental compliance and provides ongoing training and education to the crew. Want

Step off the ship and onto a boat for a half-day cruise around the wonderful Walvis Bay Lagoon. Roughly 7 km in length, the lagoon is separated from the open sea by the prominent barrier arm called Pelican Point. You’ll have the chance to spot wildlife such as pelicans, flamingos, dolphins, and seals. With some luck, seals might even hop aboard for a treat! Enjoy a lunch of fresh Namibian oysters paired with sparkling wine as you take in the stunning views. The tour concludes with a relaxing return sail to the mainland and your ship.

When buying an MSC Fly & Cruise package, we always provide you with return transfers from the airport to the port. The packages are always ATOL protected, and you`ll get a copy of your ATOL certificate at the time of reservation along with your booking confirmation. Our fly & cruise packages are designed to give you comfort and peace of mind before and after your cruise, so you can be reassured logistics to your port of embarkation are properly looked after.

Luggage included fares: Our airfare always includes one hold luggage of at least 20 KG and an assigned seat.

NEXT port Re-protection:

Should your flight be delayed or cancelled, MSC will guarantee you the same cruise at the next available port along the itinerary.

Pay only the deposit on confirmation:

Especially when travelling on long-haul destinations, you can reduce the financial burden of your purchase by paying only a deposit of €150pp for the air component within your package, while for the cruise low case component the regular €100pp deposit will still apply. For example, booking two passengers on Fly Cruise to Bridgetown (Barbados) would only cost you €500 on confirmation (€250pp), with the remaining amount to be paid in 63 days or 93 days as per our general T's and C's.
