RESEARCH and EXTENSION MANUAL
RESEARCH AND EXTENSION May 2011
PREFACE
This Research and Extension Manual was patterned after the CHED Manual of Operations for State Universities and Colleges (2004) specifically Research and Extension Manual. Some of the policies approved by the Marinduque State College Board of Trustees related to research and extension activities of the faculty and office personnel were also used as references in crafting some provisions in this manual. As of this point in time (May 2011), there is no research and extension manual available to guide the conduct of research and extension activities at the Marinduque State College approved by the BOT. The copy available is only a working paper according to the proponents. A document available is Operational Guidelines of Research and Extension Council (RECO) approved per MSC BOT Resolution No. 87, series of 2006 used as one of the references in the formulation of some of its provisions. The CHED Research and Extension Manual template provides the legal bases; DBM guidelines, CHED Memorandum, and DOST guidelines; in the operation of the research and extension functions of SUCs. Thus, this manual is believed to be one of the legal documents in the operation of the Marinduque State College Research and Extension Unit.
