When Caroline Kyle ’21 suddenly passed away in her sleep in July of 2022, her parents Rob and Beth asked that contributions in her memory be made to the Mount’s Crew program, as Caroline rowed for the Mount during all four of her years as a student. Their original hope was to be able to purchase a new boat, named for Caroline, with the funds received. The outpouring of support and love for the Kyle family was extraordinary. The Crew program will not only be able to purchase a boat—the remainder of the funds were used to establish the Caroline Kyle Rowing Endowment, a permanent fund held in perpetuity to provide support for the Mount rowing program.
