India’s Menstural Man
Muruganantham discovered his new wife was using a dirty rag during her period, and so bought her sanitary towels as a present to impress her. He was shocked about how expensive they were and so set about finding a way of creating cheap, locally sourced, sanitary products. He became an outcast during the years he spent trialling ideas, and was accused of being perverted. However he managed it, and as a result started a menstural revolution. It’s spreading across the world and providing women jobs in their local communities. 10
