The Girl and The Dragon
1
Once long ago, when the world was still young, and the skies had no stars and were empty and cold, there was a girl and a dragon.

Then one day a great creature of darkness came over the sun. It left the world drab without colour and incredibly glum.

The bravest warriors turned from this challenge, their terror to great. It was the girl and dragon who put volunteered, trusting in fate.

The pair searched through the plains, high up and wary. Glowing eyes looked back up from the darkness, making it scary.

They skimmed the oceans to try and see into the depth, they even tried swimming but they ran out breath.
18
Eventually they came to mountains so tall they touched the sky. Large enough that they made it hard for the dragon to fly.

As they neared the top the pair happened upon without warning, the soft warm glow of the morning.

On the highest peak, the girl and the dragon collapsed all tired out. The could nary whisper at the sun, let alone shout.

The darkness had been watching them in their plight, and had decided to give up the sun without any fight
