GREY A terrible storm dark clouds, rain and lightning dull pencil marks scales on a snake statues made from rock dirty, dusty cars Clean, shining and pretty a boy in a grey jacket walks with grandfather's grey hair grown old

THE NOTHING

Love on a sunny afternoon at the zoo see the elephants and hippopotomus and also the rhinoceros buy a balloon with a dolphin.

I am a nothing. A nothing can talk, but can't. 'Cause of negatives. No one thinks of a nothing. No one pushes a nothing to do something. No one falls in love with a nothing. A nothing is a nothing. I cried. 'Cause nothingness is habit-forming.

FARM

MIDNIGHT BLACK

Animals on the ranch family wakes up sunrise when a rooster sings An old man rides on a tractor using a plow An old woman picks up crops from the farmland The kids help their parents work Trade crops animals sell to cities every year

Racing in the night; with his coat so bright; His hooves beating the ground; going round, round; for he wants to be set free to go with the breeze -by Donna Klein and Connie Carroll

GOLDEN WASTELAND Deserted wasteland barren sand and dying plants Hot rays haze the deserted land till dusk

i,

Dry ground awaits rainfall begging for showers Rain pours tears drop touching dried plants Showering for days sparkling eyes shine like emerald stone Sunshine appears the green kingdom blazes Leaving golden sparks in sandy ground where green springs out

NECKLACE Beach with broken seashells Looks like sunset Hard like thin pebbles Smooth as silent water Seashells like sharp teeth Shiny as sunshine hits water

-by Indrani Hewsen

Summertime bright warm weather at the ocean on a Jamaican beach Hey, look! Girls in pink bathing suits and wet shoulders We fall down in the ocean! At night pink shirts against tan skin so bright Girls turn and see us really fast!

MY SUMMER GIRL I remember my summer girl As I see her I feel a summer breeze a diamond splashing water at my face as sweet as candy and so comfortable lying before the big beautiful blue sky I was as happy as in a fantasy bright and cool she looked so beautiful and I had no no worries

I remember the huge grassy plains, where I lay, cooing on the cool green grass, as I gaze into the sky, I am flying, the wind touching my face, I am pulled into the orbit of earth, blackness is all I see, except the bright, blue mother earth below me, faster than light I am leaving the solar system, whizzing past the milky way galaxy and andromeda galaxy exploring the space and lost in the depths of my mind.

COULD THE PENGUIN'S WORLD BE NEXT? Our single plenipotentiary soul as we say, "God ... " Spit lovely glowing objects blown up ... Sprinkled thru the blind universe we know that real revolution Always changes everything. Massive dinosaurs yell over cave people. Impetuous animals argue like huge volcanos with topmost emotions. Have mercy on our bursting baby earth. While Adam and Eve stood with their sensible pride Eating a piece of laughing evil Increasing large populations of very cool humans Commanding the small dinosaurs in prisons of glassy tiny aquariums. Joyful and not caring: (spoiled, greedy, and immature) Destructive once again ... Kill our beautiful useless earth. Who will rule the next world? Perhaps cultures of Farm Animals? Might it be ants or penguins? Will they burn our game of firecrackers on the last earth again? Will they break our father's rose heart? Forgive us God, please.
