MSUB’s baseball team will put on a Halloween fundraiser baseball game on Sunday at Pirtz Field, with players competing while dressed up in costumes. BILLINGS, Mont. – A Halloween themed-baseball game at Pirtz Field this Sunday will serve as a fundraiser for the Montana State University Billings baseball team. The single, 9-inning game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m., and the Yellowjackets’ roster will split into two teams for the friendly competition. Players will also dress in Halloween costumes, capturing the spirit of the fall holiday season. “Our baseball program is really excited to host our first Halloween game,” said MSUB head coach Aaron Sutton. “This gives our players a chance to get into a costume and have a lot of fun. Also, it allows our community to bring its families out to the park, see some fun-filled baseball, and trick-or-treat before the Halloween weekend hits.” The Billings community is encouraged to attend the free-admission event, which will feature music and trick-or-treating for children in attendance.

The Yellowjackets are the two-time defending Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular-season champions, after winning league titles in 2015 and 2016. The 2017 season kicks off on Feb. 17 at Colorado Mesa University, and the team’s first home games of the spring are scheduled for March 18 against Concordia University. --@MSUBSports | #JacketNation--
