Women’s Golf, Baseball Repeat as GNAC Academic Team Champions
Fully embracing the mission of Yellowjacket Athletics means more than just being competitive on the field. With academics being the primary focus of the 240 student-athletes who compete in the navy and gold, high achievement in the classroom has become a tradition we are proud of. The Yellowjacket baseball team also claimed the title of GNAC Academic Team Champion, carrying a 3.38 GPA to win the honor for the fourth year in-a-row. MSUB’s women’s hoops team finished in a close second, with a team GPA of 3.53. MORE --> Full list of GNAC Team Academic Champions

SUMMER 2017
The Buzz in Barca: MSUB Women’s Basketball Blog In an unforgettable journey overseas, MSUB’s women’s basketball team traveled to Barcelona, Spain for a 10-day cultural adventure. The Yellowjackets competed against foreign teams under unfamiliar rules, explored the city, and spent time bonding with one another in the unique Spanish setting. Documenting the entire trip, each player kept a journal covering different aspects of their time abroad, along with photos of the different landmarks they visited. From scenic beaches, to ancient architectural masterpieces, to an international soccer game played at the highest level, the ‘Jackets made the most of their time in Spain and shared many of the details. The Buzz in Barca blog, housed on www.msubsports. com, is a nine-part series featuring an entry by a different player each day. The writing provides an introspective look into the individual experiences, as well as the team’s overall view of the trip. The blog includes first-person storytelling, myriad photos, and video highlights all tabulated by the players and coaching staff of MSUB’s women’s basketball squad.
