Montana Campus Compact will honor MSUB men’s soccer senior Cameron Lee during Saturday’s Brawl of the Wild game between University of Montana and Montana State University. BILLINGS, Mont. – Having been selected as the Montana Athletes in Service delegate for Montana State University Billings, Yellowjacket men’s soccer senior Cameron Lee will be honored during Saturday’s Brawl of the Wild football game between the University of Montana and Montana State University. Each year, Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) honors one student from each of the state’s campuses of higher education. A total of 15 students will be honored this year, including Lee who hails from Cape Town, South Africa and serves as MSUB’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee president. “Cameron has made a tremendous positive impact on our campus and the Billings community during his time at MSUB, and we could not be more proud of him,” commented MSUB director of athletics Krista Montague. “Cameron is a natural leader and he exemplifies what it means to be a Yellowjacket student-athlete. Those who have been fortunate enough to know him are moved by his impressive character and compassion for others.”
A four-year starter and team captain, Lee played in 70 matches as a center back during his career with the men’s soccer team. He was an honorable mention all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference selection in 2012 and in 2015, and was an academic all-conference selection a season ago. Lee will join peers from Montana’s other colleges who will be honored by MTCC board members and Montana governor Steve Bullock during a ceremony on the field. “We want to congratulate Cameron for this outstanding honor and thank him for serving as such a positive role model for all of us at MSUB,” Montague concluded. --@MSUBSports | #JacketNation--
