Rain cancels MSUB’s final softball game at the Dixie State Easton Classic on Saturday, as the contest against Hawaii Hilo is washed out. ST. GEORGE, Utah – The final game of the Dixie State Easton Softball Classic Saturday morning was canceled, as the Montana State University Billings softball team’s matchup against University of Hawaii Hilo, scheduled for 10 a.m., couldn’t be played due to rain. The Yellowjackets (4-9) split doubleheaders each day from Wed.-Fri., improving upon a 1-6 start to the season. “It is disappointing not to play today, but we are happy with our results and the way we came out at the Dixie State tournament,” said MSUB head coach Jessica Rayman. “Going .500 the last three days was good, but we have a lot of work to do. We are making improvements early in the year, so that’s exciting.” MSUB is off for two weeks, before two more nonconference games at Minot State University on Feb. 26 in Minot, N.D. --@MSUBSports | #JacketNation--
