The largest fundraiser for MSUB’s athletic department, the 19th-annual Yellowjacket Scholarship Dinner Auction and Halloween Party is set for Friday, Oct. 28 at the Big Horn Resort in Billings. BILLINGS, Mont. – Returning for the 19th straight year, the MSU Billings Athletics Scholarship Dinner Auction and Halloween Party is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 28 at the Big Horn Resort. The event is the largest fundraising event for the Yellowjackets' athletic department, and all proceeds are directly used to fund scholarships for student-athletes at MSUB. "Providing our student-athletes with the best experience on the field and in the classroom is at the core of our mission, and we wouldn’t be able to achieve that without the generous support we receive from our community and alumni,” said MSUB athletic director Krista Montague. “We are excited to put on our annual scholarship dinner auction and Halloween party for the 19th-straight year, and it continues to be an important pillar that directly supports our studentathletes.”
The annual auction event is a Halloween dress-up themed evening, with a social and a silent auction followed by dinner and a live auction. Hors d'oeuvres, dinner, beer, and wine are all included in the tickets to the event, and a premium cash liquor bar will also be provided. Tables at the event are still available for purchase, and donated items for both the live and silent auctions are being accepted now. Tables are priced at $75 for a single, $150 for a couple, and $595 for a party of eight. Doors to this year's event open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and the live auction following the social and silent auction portion of the event. Prizes will be awarded for most outstanding costumes.
