Recognizing Our Extraordinary Alumni & Friends Each year Minnesota State University Moorhead is blessed with contributions from talented alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends. While many are deserving of recognition, a select few warrant special recognition for their achievements and service. The Distinguished Alumni and Service Awards Ceremony recognizes these individuals for their outstanding commitment to the university and to improving our world. Each recipient exemplifies the high standards we have come to expect from MSUM alumni and each has made significant contributions to the communities where they live and work. The Distinguished Alumni Award recipients are graduates who have achieved prominence in their chosen endeavors bringing honor to themselves and to their alma mater. The Eva Vraspir Award recognizes graduates who have achieved prominence and excellence in the Nursing field. The Distinguished Young Alumni Award recognizes graduates of the past decade who have distinguished themselves in their work or community. The Distinguished Service Award recognizes MSUM graduates or nongraduates who have voluntarily given significant contributions of time, talent or treasure to MSUM. Each individual has a unique personal story that reflects on the education they received. We are proud of their success, and in turn, proud of the role MSUM played in their lives. Thank you for joining us as we celebrate the achievements of our alumni.
