Bulletin Editor's Note

Hi MT Monsters!! My name is Zoe Yan and I am serving as y bulletin editor for the 2024-2025 I hope your summer is going we far! Wish I could say anything ab our Fourth of July but unfortunate (fortunately) I missed it. I wish you all got the chance to see the fireworks that started off our summer. It passed by us so fast, and we are already nearing the beginning of the school year. I know many of us are not excited to go back, but I’m looking forward to seeing you all and being active again! Being in school just brings so many opportunities for easy and convenient service events, it’d be a waste to miss it! I know I’m going to get my service hours in, and I got to start striving for the number one title!

In any case, we are having a general meeting soon! I hope to see you there, as we are going to announce and discuss a bunch of new topics for our key club! There are more details written in our Instagram post, designed by yours truly, and I hope at least one thing sparks your interest. That's all from me!

In Service and Friendship,

President's Note

Hello my beautiful monsters, I’m Angelina and I’m proud to serve you all as your president! With the summer coming to an end pretty soon I hope you guys are ready to begin school shopping.. HAHA just kidding I am not excited for school but I am beyond excited to meet new members. I hope you guys had a fulfilling summer despite this really hot weather but if you didn’t do much than just in luck for you we have more exciting and upcoming events.

We will have our July DCM and our annual and the most fun (in my opinion) annual event, Colorsplash! Colorsplash is an annual regional event where we celebrate holidays that is inspired by Holi! I HIGHLY HIGHLYY recommend attending this event because I’m almost positive you will enjoy your experience. Speaking of fun events, our MTKC board has been working hard trying to plan a farmers/night market themed event for this summer where you guys are able to enjoy the farmers market experience but you are supporting other schools within our division. Other than that, with school coming around don’t be afraid to come to me or any of our officers if you have any questions about key club! That’s all for me, hope you all have amazing summer monsters!

With monstrous love and friendship, Angelina Vong

Vice President's Note

HEY MTKC!!

As school starts to pick up again, I hope you all are excited to attend more Key Club events and rack up those service hours! Hopefully, we will be able to provide you guys with more in-club service projects as well as more engaging general meetings throughout the school year. Though the summer is coming to an end, I know you guys are excited to go back to school and see all of your friends who can participate in Key Club events with you!

Anyways, the month of August is going to be very busy with everyone trying to settle in with new schedules, so please be patient with us! Some things to look forward to will be Club Rush, which is held in September, the August DCM, and many general meetings! We will be planning to have more social events this term so be on the lookout for that! If you haven’t already, please also check out the MRP Requirements found @cnh keyclub if you are interested in earning awards in Key Club! As always, if you have any questions or recommendations about service or anything else Key Club related, please feel free to contact me! Thank you!

Treasurer's Note

Hey Monsters! Can you believe summer's already over?

It's been an amazing 3-months with so much happening. As school kicks off, get ready for an exciting lineup of service events and fundraisers! This year, we're aiming to host a fundraiser every month once school starts. Keep your eyes peeled for these awesome events—they're crucial for funding our activities like Fall Rally North, District Convention, and club-level socials such as Waffle Cakes Night. So, let's make this year unforgettable! Join us in making a difference, having fun, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Together, we can achieve incredible things.

Our board has big plans for the year ahead, and we can't wait to share them with you! Get hyped for upcoming events like Club Rush and Regional Training Conference. It's going to be a packed month, so stay cool and enjoy the first month back at school.

Fundraisers are not just about raising money; they're about bringing us closer as a community and making sure everyone can participate in the events they love. Whether it's organizing a restaurant fundraiser, a bake sale, or selling phone charms, each event contributes to our shared goals and helps us grow as a club.

Past Events

OTC was super fun, and this was my second year. But it was my first year presenting, although I was kind of nervous, I recommend it to anyone trying to get more involved! I made so many new friends and got to meet the other Division 7 LTGs. This was also my first time working on DLT at a large event! The lunch they handled out was really good, after a day of walking around and having fun, pizza and water was amazing. A lot of clubs were also selling their own homemade treats and merch. In my personal experience, it was a great way for the clubs to earn money. Our club was able to have a successful fundraiser this day! Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would 10/10 recommend!

USATF Master Outdoors Championship

This event overall was super fun but super hot. I think being able to experience different jobs within one event especially with sports events made it super interesting. It was super interesting and a little more towards the dangerous sides since I was not allowed to turn my back on the throwers or I would've risked getting hit. Despite the dangerous part, this event allowed me to not just assist the community but also watch the different sports and different age groups which was uplifting to see. Though this championship was fun to watch, it was super hot to service in but the event coordinators provided us with lunch and drinks to stay energized in this blazing weather. I think in my personal experience this event was much more enjoyable in the morning since it wasn’t too hot but overall this was a good experience!
