Bulletin Editor's Note

Hello Monsters!! My name i Zoe Yan and I am serving as you bulletin editor for the 2024-2025 term! Has your summer been fun so far? We have a bunch of servi events available if you ever need more eventful summer! And reme there! Drink a ton of water to battle California’s crazy weather, and always put on sunscreen. Even if you’re inside, sunscreen is important for the skin, and personally, I cannot stand sunburns, so be careful out there, monsters!

We just recently ended our extended board applications, but worry not! There will definitely be another chance for you to sign up at the beginning of the school year, if you haven’t sign-up’ed already! I’m already super excited to start working with my extended board, and I’m looking forward to our future board bondings. If you are interested in art, bonding with the board, building that resume, or even meeting new people, look out for future posts on extended board applications! Especially since I have so many ideas for the design of the scrapbook and future graphics, I hope to see you on my extended board! Well that’s all from me, enjoy the rest of your summer, monsters!

In Service and Friendship,

President's Letter

What’s roaring my wonderful monsters!! My name is Angelina Vong and I serve as your president for the 2024-2025 term! I hope you all had a fun summer so far if not then do not worry because there’s plenty of more fun key club events coming up in this month! Look forward to Colorsplash which is a regional event and our summer social coming up soon with many fun activities so don’t worry we will keep you updated, monsters!

If you are afraid of attending different events, don’t be because if you see any of our officers, please feel free to talk to us because we all enjoy getting to know our members. Speaking of events, our most recent event will be our Officer Training Conference (OTC) where everyone can attend different educational workshops and there will be a small market session where you can help and buy different things to support different clubs and divisions. Most importantly don’t forget while attending these events make sure you stay hydrated and put on sunscreen because the weather for this summer is crazy with our upcoming 100+ degree weather. Recently as you already know our extended board applications are closed but don’t worry if you think you missed an opportunity because we will release our forms again during the beginning of the school year. So again, please don’t be afraid to attend different social events or to apply for extended board even if you have no prior experience because life is too short and we have to start somewhere, right?

In service and friendship, Angelina Vong

Vice President's Letter

HEY MTKC!!

My name is Lindsey Wong and I will be serving as your Vice President for the 2024-2025 term! I am so excited to be able to provide a multitude of service opportunities throughout this year for you all. Throughout the summer, we had our interclub with Cosumnes Oaks and Sheldon as well as our annual Officer Training Conference with Division 7 North and Division 7 West. Some other events to look out for are Colorsplash, which is held with Region 16, and an MTKC Summer Social!

As this term is just beginning, I wanted to share some of the awards and recognition that you can receive from Key Club so that hopefully you can start early! The first program is called the Member Recognition Program which basically takes in the amount of service hours you have as well as the certain events that you attend (for example if the event is a Training Event or with your Kiwanis club) and puts you in different levels based on how much you have achieved. This program is a great way to earn an award as it is checklist-based and you do not need to apply for it as long as your events have been tracked by our Secretary! The other forms of recognition include an application-based system, in which members complete a portfolio for either the Sandy Nininger or Talent awards or where they are recognized by our D7S Member Recognition Task Coordinator, Vicki Phan, by a nomination from our President. All of these are great ways to earn more awards and to become more involved with this organization. Anyways, I hope you guys are interested and make one of these awards your goal for the upcoming school year! If you have more questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me or go to cnhkeyclub.org!

Secretary's Letter

Hello monsters!! You ALREADY KNOW it’s Kaila Goodman coming in to serve you as your Secretary for the 2024-2025 term! How is it that it’s already July?? Hope everyone’s summer is going well and you guys are having lots of fun going out, hanging out with friends, or sleeping in. We have MANY new events this month that are lots of fun and good for you guys to start the grind on those service hours so that I can put it in for you guys. There are also events that involve the division + region to meet new people from other schools.

We may have something planned for later in the month so bee on the look at for that! See what I did there, anyways… If you haven’t already read, the extended board applications have closed but there will be more opportunities in the future so if you wanted to apply be sure to check our Instagram for future information about that! If you were not able to attend OTC, DO NOT FRET there will be another event just like OTC but there will be EVEN MORE people from other divisions to interact with so stay tuned for that. I believe that’s all I have got to say so remember to drink water, stay out of the sun, and have fun!! I better see some of you guys attending events… If you have any questions comments or concerns don’t be afraid to reach out!!!

In service and friendship, Kaila Goodman

Hi MTKC! I cant believe it’s July already! I hope you guys enjoyed all the events we held in June, like OTC, our interclub, and the service events. Our board has been working on a new event and we are so excited to share with you guys!

As for fundraising, MTKC sold phone charms at OTC! As well as having potential fundraisers planned for the month of July! As summer continues, make sure to keep up with attending events and stay updated with our social media!

As the hot continues to increase make sure to stay indoors or visit the beach! Stay cool and hydrated!
