School Leadership

From the Head of School

When first introduced to the Episcopal Collegiate School community, I was imbued with a sense of familiarity and attracted to what I felt was a unique and tremendous opportunity Those feelings were affirmed at every turn throughout my first year as Head of School, and the relationships forged with students, faculty, parents, staff, alumni, and friends reinforced to me and my family that we have found a remarkable home The powerful ties that connect us all to Episcopal Collegiate are extraordinary

I am so moved when I look back and review the substantial support that so many of you offered Episcopal Collegiate during the last fiscal year Nearly 800 of you contributed to our Annual Fund, surpassing our goal for the year and raising over $660,000 in direct support of school operations Our Wild Game Dinner raised a record $163,000 to advance our vibrant fine arts and athletic programs The School was blessed to receive additional capital gifts that facilitated programming and facility enhancements across all divisions of the school. Equally important, Episcopal Collegiate parents, alumni, and friends donated thousands of hours of their time and expertise to organize events, receptions, meetings, concession stands, and programs for our students and community.

With our 25th Anniversary on the horizon, Episcopal Collegiate School can look to the future with confidence and excitement. Enrollment is at an institutional high, our co curricular programs are enjoying tremendous success, and our students continue to outperform their peers at regional institutions in both academic achievement and college matriculation. This fall we will launch a comprehensive strategic plan that outlines a bold vision for our future and ensures that Episcopal Collegiate School maintains its position as an educational leader both regionally and nationally. Of course, we will not be able to accomplish ambitious goals without your ongoing support. While much of our new strategic plan will require us to enhance curriculum, teaching methods, and experiences, some initiatives may necessitate additional staff or expanded facilities We will keep you informed as we look ahead and identify areas of key need

It is an incredible privilege and honor to serve as the Head of Episcopal Collegiate School I look forward to partnering with you this year, and the years ahead, to ensure that we continue to fulfill our mission at the highest level and provide the best possible educational experience for our students

Very Respectfully,

4 | Episcopal Collegiate School

Episcopal Collegiate Annual Fund

2021-22 ANNUAL FUND COMMITTEE

Parents and Friends of Episcopal Collegiate School,

It doesn’t seem like it was more than a decade ago we toured a yet to be completed lower school as prospective parents. I don’t think we even had to ponder the decision or discuss it because we both just knew. We knew Episcopal Collegiate School was something special and unique. We knew the faculty and staff would know our children and help them learn and grow. We just knew it was where we wanted them to be. Fast forward and we are now the parents of an Episcopal Collegiate School graduate of the Class of 2020 and a current senior who will graduate in the Class of 2023. We have seen what an impact the school makes on its students and how well our school prepares students academically, socially, and spiritually. We are sure you all have similar stories and experiences.

It was our honor to be the Chairs of the 2021-2022 Annual Fund and we can’t say thank you enough for joining us in supporting our school, a school that makes such a positive, impactful difference in the lives of our students. Every donation is important and supports all students at Episcopal Collegiate!

Thank you to our volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the 2021 22 Episcopal Collegiate Annual Fund a success, especially our Annual Fund chairs, leadership committee, and division representatives. With gratitude, Kristen and Pete Braunfisch

The Episcopal Collegiate Annual Fund supports each year's operating budget, as the actual cost of educating one student is nearly $6,000 more than the average cost of tuition. That gap is funded by the School's generous endowment and the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund supports every aspect of the student experience, including the academic, arts, and athletic programs. It also allows the School to hire and retain stellar faculty and coaches through competitive salaries and benefits as well as professional development opportunities.

More than 450 households participated in the 2021-22 Annual Fund. We surpassed our goal of $600,000 with a total of $666,000 raised. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our community. We could not do it without you! To

Each Episcopal student has his or her own unique experience during their time on our campus. The investments made in our facilities, our faculty, and our programs are what set Episcopal apart from the rest.

Wild Game Dinner

MORE THAN $160K RAISED

This biennial event supports enhancements in our fine arts and athletics programs. Thank you to all the sponsors, patrons, and volunteers that made the 2022 Wild Game Dinner a success. A comprehensive weight room upgrade has been added to our athletic training facilities, along with camcorders and sound equipment for our fine arts department. These enhancements, and many more, were made possible solely by funds raised at the Wild Game Dinner.

Thank you to all those who attended, and to those who celebrated from afar. Your support made for the most successful Wild Game Dinner since the event's inception in 2011. Thank you for supporting our students, thank you for supporting our faculty and coaches, and a very special thank you to our Wild Game Dinner Chairs Kathy and Jerry Wild

"The Wild Game Dinner is more than just a fundraiser for the Fine Arts and Athletics. Our Fine Arts students feel the impact of this event each day as they play on new musical instruments, record ECTV on state-of-the-art equipment or create new works of art with the best materials available. It is more than a monetary investment; it is a commitment to excellence in all programs."

"The Wild Game Dinner is my favorite event at Episcopal. It gives our staff the opportunity to interact with our community in a more personal way, while having a great time. But most importantly, the Wild Game Dinner gives our athletic programs the opportunity to acquire items outside of the operating budget that directly support the development of studentathletes and strengthen our programs."
