Message from the President Dear friends, It is a pleasure to welcome you to Topper Auction 2017, “Oh, the places they’ll go.” I am honored to assume the leadership position as president of Marquette University High School and carry on the long, rich tradition of providing young men in Southeastern Wisconsin a rigorous secondary education rooted in Jesuit spirituality. Our students are on a lifelong adventure. With an education from Marquette High, they become leaders who are open to growth, seeking intellectual competence, religious, loving and committed to justice. Thank you for your continued support that enables our young men to see the world, find their true north and be the change they want to see in the world. I am grateful for the many dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who have worked countless hours to make this year’s auction a great success. Join me in thanking our cochairs, Sharlene and Tim ’84 Byrne, Lori and Phil ’78 Dallman, Nora and Jon ’89 Langenfeld and Katite and Geoff Mackey for their leadership, creativity and contributions. My appreciation also extends to the individuals and companies that support the auction through sponsorships and advertising as well as to all who have generously donated items for our silent and voice auctions. Have a wonderful evening. With God’s Blessings,

Rev. Michael J. Marco, S.J. President

Four Tickets to Hamilton in Chicago Hamilton is perhaps the greatest musical of all time. It’s the hottest ticket in Chicago and we have four of them! This musical biography of the immigrant who became the first U.S. Treasury secretary, ranks among the most inventive, emotionally gripping theater pieces ever written. Appealing to audiences of all ages, the songs and music that create the production's score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway into a clever fabric filled with the facts and details of the decision-makers who gave birth to our nation. The four prime seats are located in the Dress Circle-center, Row D for a performance on Sunday, May 7 at 2:00 pm. And if that’s not enough, we’ve paired the show tickets with a two room overnight stay at The Gwen, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Chicago. Named one of the Best Hotels in Chicago 2016 by Travel + Leisure, The Gwen is centrally located on the Magnificent Mile. Do not throw away your shot to win this priceless experience! Gracious and merciful God, we thank and praise You for Your many blessings. Following the example of the prophets and disciples, we pray for the grace to hear and heed Your call, leading others to listen and live out Your will. Following Jesus and His teachings, we pray for the grace to be compassionate, forgiving and humble, leading others to be neighbors and servants to all. Following the example of the Church’s holy men and women, we pray for the grace to proclaim the Gospel in thought, word and deed, leading others to be models of faith and holiness. We pray, O God, for Your Spirit. Enlighten us to recognize our everyday choices as opportunities to live out our call, proclaim Your Word and help all grow in holiness. Empower and encourage us always to lead by example for Your greater glory and honor. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord‌Amen.
