REACH (SEASONAL)

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE (SEASONAL)

Feel the salt spray and ocean wind on your skin on our highspeed 24-foot motorboat, Reach. Exclusive scheduled excursions and tours will explore the dozens of bays and coves throughout Halifax’s historic harbour.

Make the most of Muir’s unprecedented location and direct water access with our kayaks, paddleboards and bicycles.

ART Inspires conversation and discovery

Art is an expression of place and is integral to the Muir story—from original landscape paintings and ceramics in every room to a statement handcrafted tapestry in the lobby to photographs capturing this region’s mood and raw beauty. You will find a significant public art collection throughout Muir and the Queen’s Marque district.

TRUE COLOURS ART GALLERY

Art at Muir is further brought to life in True Colours, a private art gallery on the second floor exclusively for the enjoyment of Muir guests and featuring a rotating collection of exhibits that speak to a distinct sense of place. True Colours invites guests to deeply connect with the exhibits through regular gallery talks and intimate events. True Colours’ opening exhibit—Real Nova Scotia— features the work of Laura Jean Forrester, Patricia Morris and Richard Davis. For details on gallery events, please consult the information guide on your in-room television.

LIGHTING THE WAY

MUIR MOMENT

Welcoming guests to Muir are the Light Chocks, a pair of glowing columns that incorporate abstract Fresnel lenses, similar to the lenses used in lighthouses throughout Nova Scotia. This architectural art installation is “Born of the Place”—inspired by Nova Scotian values, history and craftsmanship, creating a signature entrance.
