MUIR TARTAN CA $ 795

Embodying Nova Scotia’s terrain, environmental hues and cultural connection to Scotland, the Muir Tartan is a contemporary expression of tradition featuring a modernized tartan pattern. The lightweight wool plaid was imagined and crafted as a sensory touchpoint bringing warmth and memory to Muir guestrooms.

CALLAN STOOL CA $1,495

Inspired by traditional shaker style and local craft, the CALLAN stool elevates utilitarian sensibilities with refined details. Made of walnut, CALLAN features a tactile channelled leather seat pad wrapping two edges and softening the piece with style and comfort in equal measures.

LIV LOUNGE CHAIR & OTTOMAN CA $ 2,695

A contemporary expression of traditional shaker and arts & crafts motifs, the LIV lounge chair honours Canadian design and local craftsmanship by elevating familiar forms with an elegance expressed through a carefully sculpted frame and joinery details. The CALLAN round dining table (30") fosters conversation and gatherings. Marrying traditional dowel joinery with honest materiality and contemporary design, CALLAN makes a modern East Coast–inspired design statement.

SINNI SIDE TABLE CA $ 1,695

Showcasing a watery natural stone evoking the palette of Canada’s East Coast, the SINNI side table features wood joinery craftmanship and simple cigar-shaped legs. This softly rounded side table honours simple forms and pure materiality.

THE BEACON

On Canada’s East Coast, generations of seafarers have counted on lighthouses as beacons that provide direction or guidance.

In 2022, a major art installation will be added to Rise Again Square, called Tidal Beacon. Envisioned as the most significant new piece of public art in the province, Tidal Beacon by Ned Kahn, has been commissioned to be a dramatic, interactive light display activated by its natural surroundings and by each visitor to the space. The iconic art installation will rise 40 feet above Rise Again and overlook the Halifax Waterfront. It will stand as a symbol of interplay between nature and innovation, and will be recognized as a new, larger-than-life destination at this historic harbour.
