The MHS Commissioned work Written by Dr. Nathan Daughtry for combined band, choir, and orchestra, this piece represents MHS and our Mukwonago community. It will feature all members of the MHS music department. The commissioned piece will be the first work performed on our new Performing Arts Center stage as a part of our Opening Gala Celebration!

Percussionist, composer, & educator Nathan Daughtrey (b. 1975) is a musical chameleon who uses his wide-ranging talents to adapt comfortably to a variety of environments. As a performing artist and clinician for Yamaha percussion, Vic Firth sticks & mallets, Zildjian cymbals, and Black Swamp accessories, he has performed and given masterclasses and clinics throughout the United States and across three continents. With over 60 publications for percussion ensemble, concert band, orchestra, chamber ensembles, and soloists as well as an ever-growing number of commissions, Nathan balances his performing with composing, and to great acclaim.


Opening gala Celebration Saturday, April 7th Opening Concert Featuring:  Dr. Nathan Daughtry, the composer commissioned to write a piece for the students of the MHS Band, Choir and Orchestra programs  World Premiere of the commissioned work by the combined MHS Band, Choir and Orchestra  Individual performances by the MHS Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, and Symphonic Orchestra.  Art Show of outstanding MHS artists  A guest artists—name to be officially released soon!

Sunday, April 8th PAC and Music Suite Open House Featuring:  The MHS Jazz Combo and other small MHS Ensembles  Blue2 Indoor Percussion and Winterguard, Show Choir, and Alternative Strings Workshops—open to all students!  Performing ensembles from PVMS and our elementary schools  The MHS Dance Team  Culinary art by MHS culinary students  And much, much, more!

Mission Statement The mission of the Mukwonago Fine Arts Booster, Inc. (MFAB) is to enhance achievement and appreciation of the fine arts by uniting faculty, staff, community and students in building, sustaining , promoting and supporting the fine arts programs that enrich students’ lives and make our community a better place to live, learn and grow.  
