All of our fittings come with 39inch suspension as standard. We can provide additional cable & chain/catenary wire in one meter lengths for a small additional fee.
There is no restriction when adding cable and chain. If the fitting is made with a solid rod there will be restrictions to the overall height, as the longer the bar the more unstable it becomes. If you require a solid bar of more than 39 inches length we may need to use a thicker rod to improve the stability, generally we would not advise using a solid rod for a drop of more than 79-118inches.
Cable, chain and catenary wire suspensions can also be adjusted to your required hanging height during installation.
Our lamps are bulb based (sold separately). On our website you will find a link to a recommended bulb under each product.
Antique Brass, Natural Brass, Raw Brass, and coloured Powdercoat.
We do not recommend installing products with a laquer or clear powdercoat in an exposed outdoor location.
Antique Brass, Natural Brass, Raw Brass.
Powdercoated finishes are not recommend for marine environments.
Antique Brass: This finish is raw brass which has been chemically darkened (induced) to simulate aged brass. Antique Brass finish is typically a medium brown with golden undertones, and can vary significantly from one product to another. This brass does not require a clear powder coating (lacquer)
Antique Silver: This is a chemically induced antique finish which ages naturally, therefore colour tones will alter with time, Due to the differing composition of raw metal, and finishes often slightly differ in appearance from one fitting to another. This brass requires a clear powder coating (lacquer). This is a multi-step process with the fittings being antiqued first, dried and then the silver completed. The fittings are then powder coated with a clear coat. All pieces need to be powder coated within 30 minutes of finishing to avoid color changes from exposure to the air.
Polished Brass: Raw brass is polished and lacquered (clear powder coated in gloss) to obtain a bright glossy appearance.
Satin Brass: Raw brass is lightly brushed and lacquered to obtain a satin appearance (clear powder coated in matte)
Natural Brass: The general rule of thumb is; if the product is available in Polished Brass we can provide it in Natural Brass.
It is worth taking note that Natural Brass means all parts are uniformly hand polished (shiny finish) and left untreated (i.e no transparent lacquer)
It's also worth noting that different parts of the product will age at different rates and in different ways, which is generally considered part of the charm.
Other color finishes
You can order single colour finish samples and colour sample books for clients.
Recommended finishes for outdoor installation are Antique Brass, Natural brass & colored Powder Coats (powder coated finish is not recommended for a marine environment).
We do not recommend installing products with a lacquer or clear powder coat in an exposed outside location.

As our business expands as anticipated in the US, we shall add additional personnel to manage sales operations as required.
Average reply time is currently sitting at 2:30 - 3 hours during office hours. Please do consider the time difference on this on though.

4. What is the payment process?

Thank you for confirming your order. Please find your pro forma invoice attached. Dispatch is 2-3 weeks from order confirmation and is subject to payment received.
As your order contains bespoke or customised products / As this is your first order with us / we require this pro forma invoice to be paid in advance of manufacture.
Payment can be made by card using the "Pay Now" button on the attached PDF, by PayPal (paypal@mullanlighting.com) or by bank transfer. Our bank details are located at the bottom of the invoice.
All pro forma payments must be received into our account before we can start manufacture
Please note that any changes made to the order after this date may result in a delayed dispatch date. For customised or bespoke items, any changes made after items are manufactured may incur an additional charge.

Shipping costs are calculated on an individual basis for each quotation; this is done in order to achieve the best possible shipping cost across 3 shipping providers.
The main challenge is to determine what size box or pallet the potential order will be packed into; this comes with experience, or Kayleigh will ask the Packing Team Leader directly
After a box or pallet size is identified, shipping charges are calculated based on the greater of volumetric weight (dimensional) and actual weight, referred to as 'Chargeable Weight'. In other words, the cost of shipments can be affected by the amount of space taken up on an aircraft, rather than the actual weight. See the example below.
We ship daily to the USA and in our experience, Customs Fees for Mullan products typically range from 3% to 5% of the total order value.
For example, on a recent order totaling $1877 with shipping to WA, the Customs Fees amounted to $83.54, approximately 4.45% of the order value.
While this example provides insight, fees may vary depending on the final decision made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (U.S. CBP) after inspection and processing.
The courier company typically invoices the recipient for any Customs charges via email, provided the correct recipient email is provided during purchase.
This invoice is sent in advance of delivery, but occasionally payment will be requested upon delivery. Goods will only be released to the recipient once all fees are paid.
Standard product: 2-3 weeks
Bespoke: 6-8 weeks (typically)

10. Can you provide color finish samples?
We can supply trade clients with a metal sample book, ceramic book and a catalogue
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, so we offer a hassle-free return policy for your convenience. To make the process as streamlined as possible, we have a few rules that you should know about.
To return an item, you must fill out the returns form provided. This allows us to track and process your return efficiently.
If you wish to return an item, you must submit our returns form within 14 days of receiving your order. Items must then be returned within 30 days of receipt.
If you believe that an item was damaged in transit (i.e. obvious damage to the box or broken glass), please notify us immediately upon delivery, as this will allow us to file a claim with our courier for damages.
Please ensure that all items being returned are in saleable condition (unless the item is faulty, of course). In certain cases, a 30% restocking fee may be applied to some products.
Please note that customized and bespoke products cannot be returned, as they have been personalized for your order and cannot be resold.
If you are returning an item due to a change of mind, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We recommend using a signed-for courier service that provides proof of delivery. However, if you are returning a faulty item, we will arrange collection and pay the return postage fees.
If you purchased our products through one of our retail partners, you must submit a return request directly to them.
