CAASPP CERS CAASPP California Educator Reporting System (SBAC, ELPAC, CAST, CAA) Data Acquisition Instructions
Step 1
Go to www.caaspp.org
Step 2 Click on the green CERS button (California Educator Reporting System) Then, login using your private LEA CAASPP Coordinator credentials.
NOTE: If you are not logged in as the (one and only) LEA CAASPP Coordinator, you will not see the options below. No other role will suffice.
Step 3
Select ‘District/School Exports’ under the ‘Administrator Tools’ section of the homepage in CERS.
Step 4 Provide a file name that includes the name of your district, the date the file was exported, as well as the year exported in the file . e.g. “Hometown USD 6-21-2022 2021-22”
Choose the year of the data you wish to export, and please be sure to choose ‘Hide’ in the ‘New Students’ option box. To finish your export, click ‘Create Export’
Step 5 To download your export file, click on ‘My Reports’ along the top navigation bar. Locate the name of the export you just created and click on it to open a drop-down box where you can then choose to download the export file. This will download a .CSV file to your computer, in the manner typical for your browser.
Step 7 Once downloaded from the publisher, upload the untouched, unopened, well-named .CSV file to us via MMARS’ integrated, validated upload utility. Simply upload your CAASPP CERS file to the SBAC box in our utility, for whichever year you exported. Click here for a video tutorial
