Walla Walla University Friday, Dec. 14, 2018

Presented by:

Head Coach Curt Bickley TIM BIERI is in his 5th season as the head coach of the Women’s Basketball team. Bieri is the inaugural coach for the program when Multnomah added Women’s Basketball in 2014. Bieri came to Portland in 2010 to serve as Multnomah’s assistant men’s basketball coach while his wife earned her master’s degree in Christian Leadership at MU.

Bieri is a native of Colorado, where he was a high school four-sport athlete (golf, basketball, soccer and baseball). He specifically shined in basketball and earned a full scholarship to Fort Lewis College (NCAA Div. II) in Durango, Colorado. In 2015 Bieri was named to the Berthoud High School Athletics Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Fort Lewis College Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2017. While at Fort Lewis, Bieri was a four-year starter for the men’s basketball program from 2003-07. He led the Skyhawks to the 2004-05 RMAC Regular Season Championship, two RMAC West Division titles and two appearances in the NCAA regional tournament. He ranks third in the career record book in scoring (1,691 points), steals (181), three-point field goals (208), fourth in blocked shots (141), fifth in field goals (590) and seventh in free throws (303). After college, Bieri decided to pursue a life of ministry, and became involved with a Christian basketball mission organization called News Release Basketball. Bieri has since played, coached and served with News Release for the past 12 years in countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Northern Ireland and Japan. From 2010-2015 Bieri filled the role of Sports Information Director and served as Multnomah’s Volleyball coach. In 2015, Bieri began the role of Assistant Athletics Director.
