Superwoman SUPERWOMEN

In our day-to-day lives of being women, being a Mum, an employee, a business owner, a volunteer, and an all-around people pleaser, we find ourselves wanting to ‘do it all and pull it all off flawlessly. When this doesn’t work out, we may feel like a failure. What can happen behind the scenes though is resentment, burnout, a general feeling of being on this earth to serve others, and an absolute loss of ourselves, who we are, and what we stand for and believe in.

It doesn’t have to be like this, and it shouldn’t ever be like this. Our 60-year-old selves would tell us this; we just need to believe future us!
As women, we have a unique opportunity to come together, build a network and a community, empower each other and be each other’s cheerleaders. The world has enough critics; the least we can do is stand together and support one another. Perhaps we may even start a new trend and weed out the bullies.
When women come together, AMAZING things happen. We achieve more, we succeed more, we pick ourselves up after setbacks, and we have an army of like-minded people in our tribe. When you’re ready to truly step into yourself, you attract the people who you need in your life. When you choose positivity over pessimism; when you choose empowering others over tearing each other down, you are shouting to the universe that you are unstoppable, you are amazing, and you are enough!

Nyree Johnson is the Manager and co-owner of Johnson’s 4WD Repair Shop in Rockhampton, QLD. Nyree also works full time as a Workforce Analyst for an electricity distributor and is committed to her family, as well as her community through volunteer activities.
With all roles complimenting each other, the blended and ‘intentional imbalance’ Nyree works to achieve ensures the best of her transferable skills can be utilised across many avenues.
