Message from Marissa

Dear

Regent Center Members,

December was a cold, but great month at the Regent Center. We had a group travel to Montreal & Quebec City to kick off the holiday season. We had another group travel locally to White Fence Farm and Morton Arboretum to enjoy dinner and lights. We learned more about the Yellowstone and the Amalfi Coast trips coming up in 2025. Our facility renovations have been wrapping up as well!

As we wrap up our busy season we head into a slower season at the Regent Center. We take a pause on local trips for a few months but have a trip to Iceland at the end of January. In February we celebrate the Lunar New Year with our popular lunch catered by Hong Kong Chop Suey followed by Bingo. In March we’ll check out the American Place Casino located in Waukegan. There is limited space available on that trip, so register early. We’re also experimenting with an overnight trip to Four Winds Casino in April.

We Need You!

We need volunteers to assist with lunch events or leading groups.

Questions? Visit the Regent Center Office to learn more.

Lastly, many of you are aware of the new program prices. I know it is a tough pill to swallow, especially during these economic times. My goal is to leave a vibrant Senior Center for many generations to come. To do that, I need everyone’s help. Thank you to those who have understood and rallied your friends to continue supporting the Regent Center. I hope to continue having fun with all of you in 2025.

Stay well,
