Kracklauer Park project will be 70% complete by end of the year with the anticipation of opening in late spring, 2025 Due to good weather, the contractor continues to make significant progress We thank everyone for their support
Longmeadow Park will finish up its grant project in the winter with a contractor removing buckthorn and creating a wooded path The contractor will begin the project once consistent frost occurs which is an important step with removing buckthorn
Diamond Lake Recreation Center, Beach and Boat Launch are going through a Master Plan phase which will allow the agency to reinvest back into the site A key goal is allowing community access to the lakefront during more months and times of the year This will be a two or three year process Our consultants will provide several concepts in 2025 and the Mundelein Park & Recreation District will hold public input meetings The District will begin seeking grants in summer, 2025 Please take the survey using the QR code below to provide some opinions You can also access a link on our website at mundeleinparks org Your input is valuable The survey closes November 14.

Payment Plan: Partial payment with approximately 20% down payment at time of registration The balance is divided into 9 monthly payments Auto pay is mandatory for families who elect to make monthly payments You must complete an additional form with credit card information or voided check Payment will be automatically deducted on the first of each month from September 1–May 1 Your child will not be permitted to continue class if payments are not made Failure to make payments or arrangements by these dates will result in a $25 late fee A signed waiver must be on file with the Park District prior to the start of class Information packets are emailed in late August and will include information about a parent meeting or open house prior to the start of classes

The three year old classes, four and five year old classes as well as the Pre-K class have a teacher as well as an aide *This is dependent on the number of children enrolled in each class.

This theme-based program includes an introduction to the alphabet (letter recognition and sounds), art, musical activities, manipulatives, number recognition, and the mastery of shapes and colors The development of small and large motor skills are also practiced daily
This class meets four afternoons per week It has the same emphasis as the preschool program for ages four to five, with additional time spent on language, math, writing, science and social studies

Lesson Descriptions
Adult/Baby/Tot (Ages 6–36 months)
An instructor will guide you and your baby/tot in games and activities designed to teach comfort and safety when in the water
Required: One adult in the water per child The child must wear swim diapers and tight fitting pants or swim suit
Learn to Swim (Ages 3–12)
White–Level 1: Is afraid of the water Can't swim at all Will not get face wet
Red–Level 2: For those who love the water, but can't swim without support For those who are comfortable getting their face wet Will get face wet Will jump in Yellow–Level 3: For those who are not afraid of the water, can float on their front and back without support and who can jump in and return to the surface on their own
Blue–Level 4: For those who can swim underwater or on the surface without support, and can come up for a breath without support
Green–Level 5: Start in side glide and swim overarm pulls with kick for 30 ft with 1–2–3 breathe pattern
Stroke Swim teaches swimmers how to refine freestyle and learn stroke development techniques for backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and develop endurance Swimmers must have to ability to swim one length of the pool without use of floatation
Teen/Adult Swim (Ages 13+)
This course is designed to improve comfort and skill in the water, regardless of past swimming experience Students work toward developing basic core swimming competencies using principles of young adult learning

Long-Term Dance at The Mundelein School of Dance
This comprehensive offering of dance programs provides opportunities for all ages and skill levels Enthusiastic staff guide dancers along as they learn new steps and skills Classes are open to everyone who has an interest in learning dance This is a long term program and runs for 18 weeks Most classes will perform in the annual spring recital No classes March 24–29

Payment Info and Deadlines:
Costume costs are included with the tuition For your convenience, you can register for long-term dance by making partial tuition payments or a full payment Payments made in full will receive a discount If you do not pay in full, you will sign up for autopay when you register Payments will be automatically deducted on the first of the month, January 1–April 1 Your child will not be permitted to continue in dance class if payments or arrangements are not made Failure to make payments or arrangements by these dates will result in a $25 late fee
The last day to withdraw from class and receive any refunds is February 3 You must notify the Dance Coordinator if your dancer wants to withdraw and fill out a Refund Request Form with Customer Service After February 3, there will be no refunds issued Also, if you do not want your child to perform in the recital, you must notify the instructor by this date If you withdraw by our February 3 deadline and you paid in full, you will receive a prorated refund, less the classes you attended and $25 processing charge

Graceland Cemetery and Chicago History Museum

Registration All Mundelein Park & Recreation District (MPRD) programs require a minimum number of participants five business days before a class begins There is a maximum number to ensure quality instruction Classes may be combined and times modified to facilitate better programs
Refund Policy:
• If the Park District cancels a class, a full refund will be issued automatically
• Most refund requests made at least one week prior to the start of the program will receive a full refund
• Refund requests made less than one week prior to the start of a program will need program supervisor approval
• No refunds will be given after a program’s published registration deadline
• Once a program begins, a refund is not guaranteed
• The program supervisor will determine any refunds approved
• Refund requests due to illness/injury require a doctor’s note
• Refunds will not be approved on Health & Fitness Center memberships
• No refunds will be given once a program, session, or membership has ended
• Refunds for cash or check payments will be made by check
• Refunds for credit card payments will be made to the same credit card used
• Please allow two to four weeks
• A $5 service charge will be assessed per registrant per program

Discipline: A positive approach is used regarding discipline Staff periodically reviews rules with participants during programs If inappropriate or unacceptable behavior occurs, prompt resolution will be sought and the Behavior Code of Conduct will be used as a guideline The Park District reserves the right to remove a participant whose actions endanger the safety of himself or others
The Behavior Code of Conduct:
• Show respect to all participants, staff and volunteers
• Follow direction from staff and volunteers
• Show respect to equipment, supplies and facilities
• Do not use inappropriate, abusive or foul language
• Do not show any disruptive or aggressive behavior (hitting, punching, slapping, kicking, biting, etc ), regardless of whether behavior is initiated or in retaliation
Termination of Participant:
MPRD reserves the right to terminate the participation of any individual in any Park District program, event or facility for disruptive behavior or if it is considered by the Park District that continued participation of the individual is not in the best interest, or safety of the participant or others
