MEETING PURPOSE

▪ Examine the local context of the park ▪ Review the existing features of the park (opportunities and challenges) ▪ Gather community insights on: Current uses and strengths of the park What could be improved

▪ Explore design ideas together through discussion, collaboration & sketching


PROJECT GOAL

To design a community park with the appropriate passive and active amenities to meet the needs of Meaford residents.


OBJECTIVES

▪ Build on the Strengths What is great about the park? ▪ Enhance the park to respond to the needs of the current community What could be better? ▪ Provide opportunities for varied and complementary uses, by all ages Are there opportunities for all residents? ▪ Improve accessibility and safety for residents (CPTED) What can be done to increase comfort and safety?
