ASHBURNHAM PLACE
The Catalyst Programme is a fieldwork discipleship training course at Ashburnham Place. Trainees (usually between the ages of 18-27yrs) from all over the world are invited to take part in this course for a year alongside our long-term community members. There are around 100 community members living on site at any one time, half of these are Catalyst course trainees who live and work alongside permanent community members.

T H E C A T A LY S T VISION
The Catalyst Programme will grow young people in the understanding of who they are and the practice of what God is calling them to so that they shine like stars in the universe.
Our hope for every graduate of the Catalyst Programme is that they will be equipped to study the word of God, be sensitive to the guide of the Holy Spirit and take responsibility for their growing faith. The programme will be as holistic as possible and follow a head, heart, hand pattern; with every graduate developing in mind, spirit and body. Each trainee will have the opportunity to grow in at least one focussed stream: Adventure in Creation, Life Theology or Creative Ministry.

Integral to each of the three streams will be a consistent focus on character development, your relationship with God and others. We recognise these as foundational and preceding any great skill, gifting or performance.

Adventure In Creation
Streams
We have three ‘Streams’ that will be running throughout the year. Each trainee will chose a primary stream (modules from other streams can be added if desired). The three streams are:
ADVENTURE IN C R E AT I O N
Life Theology
Adventure in Creation will explore and give a greater understanding of what a joyful, adventurous and sustainable relationship between us, the land and God could look like. You will swim lakes, start fires, plant seeds and breathe deeply in all seasons, together with a band of fellow adventurers.

LIFE THEOLOGY
C R E AT I V E M I N I S T R Y
Life Theology will consider in depth the world changing gift of God in Jesus; how we understand this gift, how the church through history has responded, what this means for our inner life today and what practical difference this gift makes to how we live today. The stream will also equip trainees with brilliant study skills and deeper theological understanding, enabling them to face the questions and challenges of life with confidence and faith.
The Creative Ministry Stream will cause you to grow in your expression of life as worship. Through music, art, song, dance, service and ministry, trainees will practice living out the creative gospel in different settings from the streets to worship services, from club nights to classrooms.
Creative Ministry
This stream will use creativity to lead others into an intimate encounter with Jesus.
