The Holly and the Ivy, in a madrigal style, is carol arrangement for a cappella SATB choir and tambourine. It is well suited for choirs with a range of abilities from high school, church choir, collegiate level singers, and community ensembles. The middle section features the use of alleatoric composition and is open to many creative possibilities.
