Rahim Baloch A miniature ar6st who graduated from the Na6onal College of Arts, Lahore with a Dis6nc6on in B.F.A in 2014. He trained under Bashir Ahmad, Imran Qureshi, and Sana Kazi, all well-‐known miniature painters. His early educa6on was in Noshki and later he worked under with Kaleem Khan in QueYa. The wish for a work of art to come alive, which is the stuff of ancient myths, has materialized for Rahim Baloch. Even his earlier miniature pain6ngs seem to strive for this to happen, as the emo6onally loaded twists, meanders, splinters and mergers of shape and color in his lyrically expressionist waslis almost free themselves from the ground. Of late, the ar6st has brought a certain interac6on to its climax by physically-‐ aesthe6cally-‐emo6vely wedding brushwork to large waslis in an installa6on environ. His work figures in various private collec6ons.

Romessa Khan Escaping consciousness is difficult. To try and achieve a state of unconsciousness is to create an alternate reality craded to perfec6on by the reconstruc6on of concep6ons. I weave s6ll objects, tear them, shred them, s6tch them back and draw these nonliving objects in a way that they are s6ll breathing, disintegra6ng and they have a life. Taking automa6sm to a personal level, I oden recast characters, objects and elements from my own, private world. Each drawing, made from ink on paper, is composed of innumerable 6ny circles, lines and weaves with the act of repe66on crea6ng astonishing intricacy. Weave like structures are metaphors for the individual, represen6ng incompleteness, uniqueness, complexity and connec6on. Capturing the persistence of memory and what once belonged to me and how it has morphed up 6ll date. My recent series of black and white ephemeral, highly intricate drawings sugges6ng a kind of living space that once was. My s6ll objects talk about the third space which results due to a stagnant 6me and does not exist in our designed present so the wishful reality exists lingering between the exis6ng visible reality. I have tried to imitate those visuals where one could only live through mind’s eye. These objects are metaphor for human traces.

Ussama Bin Naveed Ussama Bin Naveed was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1988. Ussama's earliest memories are of his architect father construc6ng scale models of houses and buildings and much of his childhood was spent making comic books and plas6cine sculptures with his younger bother, and watching his elder brothers' imagina6ons come to life as highly original Lego models. All this visual and mental s6mula6on made a career in the crea6ve arts a natural choice for the young ar6st. In 2014, Ussama graduated from the Na6onal College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan, where he earned a BFA, specializing in oil pain6ng. Although he is s6ll searching for his voice as a painter, Ussama is certain that his engagement with art and viewers will eventually help him find his way.
