A good start Junior pitcher Matt Imhof recorded a Division I school record-tying 14 strikeouts in Friday night’s opener against Kansas State. He allowed two hits in 7 innings pitched to lead the Mustangs in a 3-0 win.
Sam Sullivan @ssulli04 Bullet shells litter the ground at his feet. They are scattered over the dirt and gravel, ranging in size and color. They stretch from where he sits to all over the range itself. “This is the ‘evil’ AR-15, the one they are always trying to ban,” Dylan Hardy yells over the sound of firearms, aiming the device at a metal target. The shells fly in all directions each time a shot is fired. Some hit the man to Hardy’s right, who’s positioning to shoot his own gun. Hardy, a manufacturing engineering sophomore, shot his first gun when he was approximately 12 years old. >>

The Temptations bring soul to the stage Kelly Trom @kttrom PREVIEW R&B/soul group The Temptations brought Motown back this past Valentine’s Day with its performance at the Christopher Cohan Performing Arts Center. During the performance, the five Temptations members reflected back to Motown Records. The soulful band hit on both melodic and and dance tunes, as well as its classic, “My Girl.” Local trio The Damon Castillo Band opened the show. The event was a benefit performance presented by Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. >>
