Hotel San Luis Obispo has established itself as a hot spot for residents and people who visit San Luis Obispo.

It’s located on Palm Street, in what used to be San Luis Obispo’s vibrant Chinatown. Lots of Chinese-inspired architecture and artwork are featured in the hotel’s three stories.

Right as you walk in, the circular living wall draws inspiration from moongate passageways in Chinese gardens. The logo, which utilizes the letters “S-L-O”, is meant to look like an abstract face.

The restaurant, Piadina, extends through the entire ground floor and into a back patio space. On Mondays, their pizzas are half-off, drawing in college students looking for a nice meal on a budget. The rooftop bar, called the High Bar, offers panoramic views of downtown San Luis Obispo and beyond, and they’re even more enjoyable with a specialty house cocktail in hand.

Most rooms in the hotel have private balconies, perfect for sunbathing and seeing San Luis Obispo from new heights.
