With the flavor of a Full Metal Fantasy setting this game is like a kick in the biscuits. Excerpt from Warmachine: Prime page 5 (censored as to not offend the Sissies, little girls, or nancy boys…) ―Sissies, little girls, nancy boys…go home! This game is not for you. This game is about aggression. This is the game of metal on metal combat. This is fuel injected power hopped up on steroids. This is WARMACHINE—The battles game that kicks so much *** we have to use all capital letters.‖

Session 1 TABLE 1
A-State - 3-5 players
GM: Eric Morgan
The Infernal Machine– Corruption runs deep in The City, but sometimes the bureaucratic arm grips a bit tight for even your tastes. The Department of Health has recently tacked a condemnation notice to every door in the Folly Hills tenement section of the Woebegone Crescent. One section of the notice stands out above the rest. ―...and the heretofore mentioned properties shall be vacated in good order within 10 (ten) days, due to the imminent public health risk posed by under-surface corruption in the immediate area.‖ Under-surface corruption? Public health risk? What? You have taken this as a of a bit personal affront, as you have relations in the Crescent. You and your affiliates have decided to do a bit of investigation into this matter and uncover the true reason for the demolition of so many peoples homes.
TABLE 2
Fireborn - 3-6 players
GM: Jeffery Faulkner
Lost Technology– Search for Russian scientist Nikola Tesla‘s lost schematics. The legendary tesla gun could be the most powerful weapon ever conceived. Run, fight, try and survive.
TABLE 3
Lucky Loop - 2-4 players
GM: Stephanie Carf
Do you have the courage and luck to become the Best Pilot? Decide in the risk you want to take and win with the boldest stunt flight routine. Choose a stunt routine, throw the dice three times, the best comes last: freestyle display. An exciting dice game for young and old. Let the dice do the talking and out-turn your rival players!

Settlers of Catan - 3-6 players
GM: Brian Morin

Expand your colony through the building of settlements, roads, and villages by harvesting from the land around you. Trade with other players or at local seaports to get resources you might lack. The first player to achieve 10 points from a combination of roads, settlements and special cards wins.

Session 1 TABLE 5
Lunch Money Tournament - 2-8 players
GM: Craig Carf
The bell rings… You run as fast as you can to the playground. Recess is ―fun‖ time according to your teacher Mrs. Bolnter. More like a bar-room brawl where everyone is trying to be king of the schoolyard. You had better bring you‘re A Game to the bike rack today, or the next thing you know you will be running home screaming like a little girl with a skinned knee. This tournament style game is not for the weak so if you think you got the grapes… BRING IT!!!!
TABLE 6 Joe’s Interaction- 1-6 players
GM: Joe Alford
Interaction: As I've been saying at GenCon since 1984, all you really need to play this game is pencil and paper and pizza. And, in a pinch, you can skip the pencil and paper. This is a role-playing game with no books and no dice. Each character has a problem and the game master will turn all of those problems into one story. So put on your thinking cap and think up a nice problem to toss into the mix. Ten Truisms of Interaction: 1 You don‘t have to kill everything you meet. Not everything you meet is trying to kill you. (Some are, so stay alert.) 2 You can‘t talk to dead people. They give poor directions and worse advice. (Yes, this is the same as 1, but it bears repeating.) 3 The guy in the grave you just robbed was once somebody‘s father. That somebody isn‘t going to like you very much. 4 The little guy ALWAYS has a big brother, and the big brother ALWAYS has a lot of friends. 5 Just because you are paranoid that doesn‘t mean they aren‘t out to get you. 6 Sufficiently advanced science is indistinguishable from magic. 7 If God exists you may not want Him to think about you. 8 A dragon is not, not, NOT just a big lizard with a lot of hit points. 9 A big fish in a small pond is still just a big fish. 10 There are ALWAYS consequences.

Heat Death - The Malosian domain spans most of a galactic arm, where it has ruled for ten thousand years in idyllic peace and prosperity. On a mission of coreward exploration, research vessel Promethea frantically looks for the source of an unfamiliar signal from a forgotten star system. What they find propels the crew on a desperate undertaking that will stretch them to their limits, and perhaps even shatter their way of life.

Session 1 TABLE 8
Greed Quest - 3-6 players
GM: Anita Woudenberg
Greed is good!...and there‘s treasure to be won, so what are you waiting for? Three to six players race to the bottom of the dungeon to grab The Hoard. Now all you have to do is get out with it…but everyone else is between you and the exit! Each player has his own deck of cards that control movement. Bluff, scheme, and strategize your way to the head of the pack…but some cards will change the rules when you least expect it!
TABLE 9 Star Wars d20 - 2-5 players
GM: Mark Gregg
One last job and it would be an early retirement. And you thought the desert was unforgiving? What is the empire doing this far out in Hutt space? And why are they trying to stop us?
TABLE 10 Mage: The Assension - 3-6 players
GM: Chris Whitcomb
Seven - The Verbana have a powerful new recruit. The Technocrats want him dead. Can you hold off their assault until the Avatar awakens?
TABLE 11 Spycraft - 3-6 players
GM: Corey Trimmer
A Bell For St. Anthony - As a member of the newly-formed United Nations Office of Scientific Investigation and Research, you are just settling in to your new headquarters building in Moscow, Russia. Soon, you expect to be faced with ‗supernatural‘ events and other weird cases to investigate. It‘s getting late… and why are the church bells ringing?
TABLE 12 Vampire: Prince of the City
GM: Mark Webb

The Prince of the city is dead. Do you have what it takes to claim the throne? A World of Darkness board game for 2-5 players.
Session 2 TABLE 1
Open Card/Board Games
Die within the first 5 minutes of your RPG? Waiting for your round in the Halo 2 tournament? Or did you oversleep and get here after your game had already started. The Hangmen have, over the years, as gamers accrued a large collection of card and board games that we just feel need to be present at our con. So this year we are dragging them all out and will have them available for you to peruse and try out.
TABLE 2
Serenity - 3-6 players
GM: MiLinda Morgan
It‘s a jamboree, a soiree, a shindig! And you‘re invited. But remember this is a business trip so don‘t expect to just waltz the night away. There‘s more at stake here than a couple of kidnapped children. Get the job done and keep flyin‘.
TABLE 3
Heroscape - 2+ players
GM: Adam MacArthur
Imagine the Greatest Battle of All Time, when all the heroes and warriors of history and fantasy converge on a battlefield you design. Customizable 3-D terrain allows you to change the field and battle with each game. Intense but easy to learn. Eliminate all your enemy‘s pieces to win.
TABLE 4
Haven: City of Violence - 3-5 players
GM: Jason Schmelzer
Mature players only. The quaint metropolitan city of Haven…ahh the culture, the nightlife, the ambiance…umm…scratch that…this city is pure hell. If you last more than ten minutes consider yourself lucky. The rats and homeless children alone can kill you dead.
TABLE 5
Once Upon a Time Tournament- 4-15 players
GM: Craig Carf
This game is wonderful for any age. It takes the fairy tales we loved as kids off the pages and into our hands and imaginations. Each player spins a tale which will eventually lead to the end of our adventure. First one out of cards and ties the story to their ending wins!
TABLE 6 Joe’s Interaction- 1-6 players

TABLE 7 Deadlands Frag– 2-6 players
GM: Hobbes Woudenburg
The fast-moving ―first person shooter‖ board game…mutated into the Weird West! This is a complete game which combines the award-winning Deadlands background with the fast, fun Frag rules. Play as a magic-using huckster, an undead Harrowed gunslinger, or a Mad Scientist…frag your foes on the main street of Doomtown, and hang them on the gallows!

Session 2 TABLE 8
Kings Blood - 2-5 players
GM: Anita Woudenberg
Love. Royalty. Tragedy. Will your line reign supreme? King‘s Blood is a fast-paced multi-player card game. Build the family tree by arranging marriages, exiling rivals, and crowning new royalty. Match a character with a compatible member of the opposite sex, and start a new generation. Play the last family member from your hand, and you‘ve won!
TABLE 9
Iron Kingdoms - 4-6 players, Age 16+
GM: Chris Dorsett
A group of adventurers have banded together in Corvis, the City of Ghosts, to steal a fortune in gold bullion left in a secure vault. Some can be new players to the game, while others can be old hands at it. All of this band must be 16 or older to participate. Knowledge of the Iron Kingdoms is not required. Are you one of these adventurous thieves? Can you break in? It‘s a simple job…what could go wrong? Surely the pistol toting rogues and constables of the city won‘t miss a few bars of gold. And why would the restless dead for which the city is famous or the savage beasts of the surrounding marsh concern themselves in your aspirations for wealth? Welcome to the Iron Kingdoms. I do hope you survive your stay.
TABLE 10 Open Card/Board Games Die within the first 5 minutes of your RPG? Waiting for your round in the Halo 2 tournament? Or did you oversleep and get here after your game had already started. GM: Derrick “Fester” Dawson
Join this group of adventurers on their quest into the deepest darkest dungeon of the realm. Test your wits against that of Fester and his cadre of both lethal and cunning traps. Test your mettle against the onslaught of monsters and villains. Can you survive the evils that await you? Will this perilous dungeon claim yet another band of hardy characters?

GM: Eric Morgan
Team Archangel of Logos, Logos and Brinks has recently been put on assignment. The New Kingdom Project (a corporation that specializes in regaining the lands lost to hell) has recently reported the loss of an unidentified artifact in transit back to the Zone from a remote location in the wasteland. Your job as members of Team Archangel is to regain this stolen artifact and bring the parties responsible to ―justice‖.
TABLE 2
All Flesh Must Be Eaten - 3-6 players
GM: Jeffery Faulkner
Search for the last surviving members of an archeological expedition and find what they found.
TABLE 3
Perpetual Commotion - 2-6 players
GM: Stephanie Carf
―Where fast hands rule the table.‖ One part strategy, two parts speed and a healthy dose of ―luck of the draw.‖ It‘s an outrageously fast and addictive card game. Play your cards – as many and as fast as you can – into a common arena. To win, you must play faster and more aggressively than your opponents. Get 150 points first and win the game. This game is a blast, and quite a real commotion!
TABLE 4
Deadlands - 3-5 players
GM: Jason Schmelzer
Howdy thar cowpokes! Welcome to the weird wild west where all sorts of monsters, critters, and no good scallywags would like to see your innards on the ground beside ya. Survive if you can!
TABLE 5
Zombies!!! - 2-6 players
GM: Craig Carf
This is my boom stick! And I use it to blow a path through the zombie hordes that have invaded our town. Be the first to the helipad and win, or if blood and guts is more to your liking then attempt to bag your limit of 25 zombies and win. In survival of the fittest there are no friends…only decoys.
TABLE 6
Vampire: Dark Ages 3-6 players
GM: Erin Fitzgerald
Enter White Wolf‘s World of Darkness medieval style. Help create a story of dark intrigue and woe. Join us…if you dare.
Deluxe Illuminati 2-6 players
GM: Hobbes Woudenberg
They‘re all around us. Secret conspiracies are everywhere, and where can you find the only truth? Certainly not in the game of Illuminati. Fnord. The phone company is controlled by creatures from outer space. The Congressional Wives have taken over the Pentagon. And the Boy Sprouts are cashing in their secret Swiss bank account to smash the IRS! Two to six players compete to grab powerful groups and increase their wealth and power. No ploy is too devious, no stratagem to low, as you scheme your way to victory. Includes the new Bavarian Fire Drill expansion!

Defeat every challenge the galaxy throws at you, from the Friendly Guard Puppies all the way to the Fiendish Death Trap. Pick up Toys (and the occasional Poolboy), grab more Loot than anyone else, and watch your tail…because the other catgirls want what you‘ve got!
TABLE 9 Anachronism
GM: Darrin Guess
Anachronism is a word meaning something or someone out of its usual place in time. This game makes good on that meaning. Take historical and mythological warriors into gladiatorial type battle in the Arena. Use equipment such as weapons, shields, armor and amulets to defeat your opponent in combat. Anachronism is unlike any game you’ve played. You’ll be taking your warrior into battle almost as quickly as you can read your cards and roll the dice. Once you’ve played, you’ll keep coming back to the Arena to try new warriors, new combinations and new strategies en route to victory! Anachronism allows you to bring warriors from different times and cultures together in battle. Crazy Horse, King Arthur, Cleopatra and many more come to life in this wonderfully educational game.

What is going on OUTSIDE???? We have extended the convention, again this year, to the South East Lawn (or the ―Basin‖) of the Armory. Through out the day there will be demonstrations put on by The Shire of Greyhope of the Society for Creative Anachronisms, Inc.. We have invited the SCA (or Society for Creative Anachronism) to come in and demonstrate. The SCA is a reenactment group who utilize fighting styles of multiple cultures through out the Medieval period of history. They also demonstrate other forms of entertainment such as drumming, dancing and even some trades of the time. While attendees of GallowsCon will NOT be permitted to participate, the SCA Shire of Greyhope will have representatives out to talk about how to get involved and what it takes to get onto the battlefield. Point of interest to gamers: This group takes part in what is known as physical activity. This is an activity in which you get up out of your chair and move about (sometimes vigorously) and utilize your body to perform some task.
We encourage everyone to go out and observe the demonstrations! For more information on the Shire of Greyhope please visit them at

5th Anniversary Looking Back Five years. Five long years. Conceptions of time aside, GallowsCon celebrating its fifth anniversary is quite an accomplishment. To think that only a handful of years ago, a gaming convention in Northwest Indiana was nowhere to be found. Mind you, creating a convention from the ground up is no easy task. Several people, devoting personal time and resources, coming together to provide a showcase for a hobby that is widely considered subversive and anti-social. If this is not a labor of love, then I don‘t know what is. So when an anniversary like this rolls around, we must look into our past for those who helped us along. Those that provided the supporting hands to build a past, and subsequently pave the way for many future GallowsCons. First and foremost, thanks to you. Yes, you. The person holding this program book. Whether you are a tireless vendor, a gracious sponsor or one of our many enigmatic attendees, none of this would be possible without your devotion to the gaming community and the hobby we hold dear. Thank you so very much…you have no idea the impact you have had on GallowsCon. Let us not forget those that have helped in the past. GallowsCon would not be where it is at today without the help and efforts of the following people and organizations.
