Tai Chi
Ages: 18 years old and up
Join Zuzana from Hummingbird Qigong in this beginners 6 weeks Tai Chi program to improve your balance, coordination, and overall health. Per Harvard Medical School, Tai Chi is often described as “meditation in motion,” but it might well be called “medication in motion.” There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice has value in treating or preventing many health problems. Tai Chi is a practice that involves a series of slow gentle movements and physical postures, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. It’s a low-impact, slow-motion exercise, that doesn’t put any pressure on the joints. It’s also slowly becoming therapeutic exercise for many chronic health conditions. Classes will not be pro-rated and are non-refundable unless canceled by The Community House.
