Kortney Dorow's Brand Manual

Kortney Dorow “Everything happens for a reason; hard work will always pay off in the end.”

My Logo I wanted my logo to represent who I am and what I believe in.

The “K” represents my name. I wanted To put that letter in my logo because not too many people spell their name like I do (Kortney). The “K” is original. The RGB code is: R= 155, G= 254, B= 16. The tree represents life and each branch is a different step in my path to success. I chose upward arrows to remind myself that I can only continue to climb those branches and reach my final goal.

Unique Selling Proposition I was brought up in a household that loves everything about sports. I love the environment, the people and the strong opinions people carry around with them. I love to solve problems and think of creative ways to make something better. I love a challenge and hope to someday share my creative ideas with people who think like I do. My creative and challenging ideas are what separate me from most. I want to be the best and find it exhilarating to work in a world of sports where competition is at its highest point.

My Tagline “Everything happens for a reason; hard work will always pay off in the end.” I have always believed in the saying, “Everything happens for a reason,” and I have always applied it to everything I do. To go along with my logo and the branches of success that I hope to achieve, working hard has always paid off for me. I believe that things are not just going to fall into place; a strong work ethic will assist me in climbing up the branches of my tree to success. This statement can also be explained by the idea that the tree branches grow in different directions, with the arrows going upwards. They are growing that way for a reason just like things happen in my life for a reason. They are leading me up.

Words people associate with ME Fun: I like to have a good time and make people laugh. I know when to be serious, but a little fun is always needed.

Reliable: If I am assigned a job, I have to complete it. Others come first and I am always there to help.

Independent: I am a very independent person and I complete my work to the best of my ability. Although I am independent, I work well in groups, but voice my opinions.

Goal oriented: I like to set goals for myself and work my hardest to achieve them. By setting these goals I feel that they will guide and help me figure out my life.

Benefits and Features Knowledge of technology and Creativity are two of my main features.

Being creative is a benefit because I can take from different sources and brainstorm unique ideas. These ideas will stand out and be used for creative problem solving.

Understanding and applying current technology, will allow me to stand out among others. By being able to apply it to different projects, it will only help me excel.

What will I do to establish ME? By getting involved around campus and being able to apply my knowledge of sports to it, it will help me in my overall success. Plans to create promotional videos of our sports teams are in action and it will get my name out around campus. I also am looking into internships and seeing where I can volunteer (like I did in the fall of 2010 at the ING New York City Marathon) so that I can meet new people. Keeping in contact with my peers and working with them to better this program can only help with the path to success. Â

Kortney: Images that people see When people say or hear my name I want them to see a strong independent woman that will be dedicated to achieve any goal she sets her mind too. Each branch of a tree represents a new goal. I want people to see an image of a tree, and see that as I climb it, a new goal is being created and achieved.

Lastly, I would like people to see that I am reliable. I am supportive and will work in a group to get the job done.

Projects that will help me establish my brand Currently I am pairing up with a class mate and working on promotional video series of our sports teams here at UC. I am taking it on as another way to support our athletic teams. When we get this idea into action, our names will be associated with this and people on campus will know that we came up with it. I also completed a media guide for our football team. The football coach said he loved it and it was nice to see that the hard work was appreciated.
